In Arica, there are definitely more Lakers fans, and theoretically, Bobcats fans would have a hard ti outshouting the opposition, but at this ti, a small group within each of the two fanbases who love to speak out feels like a ’cult.’ However, the reality is that not only are Bobcats fans not at a disadvantage, they even seem to have the upper hand!
Zhang Yang sotis notices that he has a small group of fans with a ’cult-like’ vibe, and for players like them, the fan base is large, so a small group is actually quite a large number of people, and the silent majority is represented.
But this ti, it wasn’t his fans who seed more ’cult-like,’ but rather that there were more ’5-year-old Bobcats fans,’ with another group of ’cult followers’ joining them!
’The strongest three high schoolers in history’ fan lee!
...
The next noon, Zhang San and Little Biao Biao went to the Big Guy’s house for lunch.
On the court, both teams in Ga 3 played with anger, but after the East Final, Yao Ming’s side also conceded.
If it ended 2-4 or 3-4, it would definitely be frustrating, but with scores like 1-4 or 0-4, the strength gap is too obvious...
In the afternoon, the two of them returned to Charlotte with the Bobcats and rested for a night. On June 3rd, the second rest day, the Bobcats began their preparation work for the finals.
The morning prep eting lasted the entire morning, and Zhang Yang, Felton, Okafor, Hill, Brad Miller, Millsap, and others were exhausted.
Teammates could daydream or even doze off, but they had to focus.
The upcoming training, with the general direction led by the head coach, the specifics and details would be handled by them in coordination with assistant coaches Vincent and Paul Silas.
During lunch, Zhang Yang complained to Vincent: "Did you guys stay up all night these past two days?"
Vincent replied confusedly: "No, after the match ended the night before, we assistant coaches went back to the hotel to rest. Yesterday was a day off. Why do you ask?"
Zhang Yang: "Then where did today’s comprehensive preparation co from? It’s too thorough, too complex. I rember what cos later and have already forgotten most of the earlier parts. Luckily, Randy has the video recordings."
Vincent: "You an the prep work, right? After watching the live broadcast of Western Conference Finals Ga 1, Rick decided it wasn’t worth referencing and focused instead on analyzing the regular season gas where we faced the Lakers, the Lakers’ first-round ga against the Mavericks, and the second round against the Nuggets. By the afternoon of East Final Ga 4, our preparation was almost done... It’s impressive you can rember so of it; even I, who was part of the prep plan, can’t rember much without notes. Typical of a North Carolina grad student."
Zhang Yang: "So that’s it. Hearing you say you all were on break after Ga 4, I thought Rick did all this prep solo. It shocked ."
Vincent: (눈‸눈) "No, man, didn’t I just convey that Rick had absolute confidence we’d win the East Final and was already considering final opponents without playing a match?"
Seeing Zhang Yang, Hill, and Felton turn the conversation to Carlisle’s in-ga adjustnts in the East Final, Vincent thought: Rick was right; I’m not cut out to be a head coach since I can’t even guide subtle emotions.
In the afternoon, Zhang Yang participated in two extensive training sessions, one for offense and one for defense, each with three sessions lasting 20 minutes, focused on fundantal offensive tactics against the Lakers and basic defensive positioning and collaboration.
This extrely detailed series preparation relied on having four rest days. Leaving aside yesterday’s true rest, along with the morning of a match day, that provided three and a half days to prepare.
Unlike before the East Final started, when there was only a day and a half for preparation, they could only focus on tactics.
By 4:30 PM, the first day of training ended, and Randy Brown distributed the copied discs to the players for those interested in studying the prep eting.
Again, the abundance of rest days ant the daily training load wasn’t particularly heavy, avoiding the pitfalls of the late 80s when the ’Evil Genius’ training camp caused severe injuries to the Magician and forced Sky Hook into retirent, a lesson learned so that players now have ti to absorb preparation details and for those with tactical acun to ponder adaptable points.
Most Bobcats players found the first training day relaxed, but Zhang Yang, Hill, Felton, and Okafor had a tight schedule. After showering and changing, they headed out to ’work another job’ with their respective teams.
Kobe vs. Zhang Yang, the battle of the greatest high school players, Scoring King face-off, MVP confrontation... This finals’ heat is explosive, and both sides displayed dominant performances in their conference finals, matching last year’s finals intensity.
The Bobcats’ four popular stars carried nurous endorsents, naturally increasing their workload.
But they’re not alone; the Three Giants in Los Angeles faced the sa situation.
Even Kwa Brown managed to secure a long-term endorsent contract averaging 1.5 million US dollars annually from the ’Paddle’ sports brand, angering Boss Qiao, who ranted on cara and threatened to sue ’Paddle,’ providing much amusent.
After finishing the evening’s work, Zhang Yang wasn’t idle upon returning ho. He studied the training plan given by Carlisle, reviewed the prep eting videos, and watched the Lakers ga footage... busy yet fulfilling.
Over the next two days, as with the first training day, he imrsed himself in comprehensive preparation work, participating in and assisting teammates in training, communicating with coaches and teammates, discussing points of agreent, and occasionally debating when opinions differed. But everyone worked towards the sa goal, and the disputes aid to solve problematic issues... Compared to his first NBA finals two years ago when he knew nothing and charged foolishly, the team is now more professional from top to bottom.
