After the final whistle sounded, the Bobcats players, coaches, and managent rushed onto the court, celebrating together. An 18-ga winning streak, and in the history of the NBA, every team that achieved this winning streak has without exception won the championship!
While this doesn’t an that the championship will automatically fall into their hands from now on, it undoubtedly boosts their confidence trendously.
Jordan vigorously patted Zhang Yang on the back, repeatedly saying "Well done."
After securing the 17th consecutive win last night, Boss Qiao, who was vacationing in Miami, imdiately flew to Sacranto without even wanting to wait for his private jet’s schedule to co in person and cheer for the team.
The ga was won, 18 wins in a row; Zhang Yang was, of course, thrilled, but as he looked at the big screen, he wondered what exactly Boss Qiao ant by "Well done"?
out of 34, a shooting percentage of 38.2%, slightly better than that peak ga of the old Ironsmith, 21 missed shots in a single ga, the 10th ti in his career with 20 missed shots in a ga; the number of tis in the first four years that matched The Answer as "second in history," and the only one "above" is Qiao Tu!
In the evening, after having a drink with his teammates at the nightclub, Zhang Yang returned to the hotel and opened his computer to read the news. Sure enough, the hottest topic after the 18-ga winning streak was that Zhang San’s 10 tis of not completing 20 missed shots in 4 seasons was joked about by fans as having the posture of surpassing Iverson and catching Jordan.
What bothered him the most was that he saw most of the IP addresses in the comnts were from the North or South Carolina area!
Is this sothing to be proud of?
He had a faint sense of being surrounded by black fans without realizing it, a terrifying feeling.
...
On the afternoon of the second day, the Bobcats arrived in Minneapolis, after a night of rest, on March 7th, they ca to the Target Center, the fourth ga in the 5-ga road trip, challenging the Timberwolves away.
Upon entering, Bynum enthusiastically greeted Zhang Yang.
He has been in the NBA for 4 years now, and hasn’t made any real friends. Occasionally, when he’s clear-headed, he finds it quite sad.
In the team, he has several "underlings," but they’re either because he’s the core of the team, or because he’s generous with money. Other teammates either look down on him or dislike him; "friends" outside the team are without exception motivated by his money; on the court, he’s quite disliked by opponents... Over the years, only Zhang Yang, who was drafted with him, interacts with him like a "normal person."
Zhang San naturally didn’t know that he was regarded as a white moonlight by An Zhu. There were only one or two chances to et Bynum every year, and being under the sa agent, it was appropriate to say hello.
Moreover, the two of them have been linked together since the hype before the draft, and even now so dia still discuss them together—the most talented players from the East and West. The dia are hyping this match as the showdown between the two from the sa class.
He’s three months shy of turning 21, and the newly selected All-Star Bynum is just 21 years and a few days old. The renewal contracts they received are also the first and second of their class, with him getting a 4-year, $86 million max deal. Bynum, averaging 18.4 points 12.2 rebounds 1.8 assists 2.2 blocks this season, was given a Timberwolves 6-year, $114 million bird rights max deal after being nad an All-Star.
However, most likely after this season, Bynum’s renewal contract would drop to third in their class, as Paul will certainly be nad to the best team for the second ti this season, triggering one of the ’designated player’ conditions, which allows him to renew with a salary starting at 30% of the cap.
Paul is the only player among the hot picks of 2005 who hasn’t completed an early renewal. Zhang Yang doesn’t even need to guess, he’s sure the kid is waiting to cash in on the "Zhang San bonus," and definitely wouldn’t give up on this perk, with the Hornets unwilling to pay, there are plenty of teams willing to.
Zhang Yang also had a chat with Love, whom he knew even earlier, having t during the sumr following the end of their 10th-grade season at Coach Lu’s training camp, but they’re not particularly close nor unfamiliar.
So far this season, Love is averaging 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists, with poor defense, but his mid-range shot and rebounding being impressive, especially the mid-range shot with a 40.2% shooting percentage. This is a rare feat for a rookie big man, and he utilizes Bynum’s presence in the post very well.
At 8 p.m., the ga between the Bobcats and the Timberwolves began.
Before the Bobcats’ winning streak is cut, anyone who encounters them wants to be the one in the lilight, even if the Timberwolves are weak and have a poor record, currently standing at 21-39. But they still want to give it a shot, as there’s nothing to lose.
In the first quarter, the Timberwolves really gave it to the Bobcats! Love scored 8 points with 3 of 7 from the field and 2 of 2 free throws. Bynum contributed 11 points with 4 of 6 shots and 3 of 5 free throws. Together, they led the team to a 32 to 25 performance against the Bobcats, leading by 7 points entering the break!
Being on the sa court with Bynum, you could really feel how annoying this guy’s playstyle is. On offense, he’s rough, and his deanor and language look down on everyone basically; on defense, he’s full of tricks... Even Okafor, such a calm person, appeared visibly agitated despite being ntally prepared.
But in the second quarter, the Timberwolves’ firepower dropped dramatically.
The Timberwolves have done a good job developing Bynum, seeing the polishing of his fundantals and skills, no worse than those two years developed by the Lakers, after all, this is a team that’s produced the likes of Gugliotta and Garnett; purely in terms of developing interior players, the Timberwolves are arguably among the top five or even top three in the league since the 90s.
