110: 84.

Post-Draft Conference Part_4 110: 84.

Post-Draft Conference Part_4 But failing to be drafted isn’t the end of the road; there’s still a chance to showcase oneself in the sumr league, play in the developnt league, join the Continental Basketball Association of USA, or get recomnded to European or Asian teams.

These two definitely can find jobs; it’s just that the salary would be worlds apart.

Tellem sent several people to the hotel to rest; being selected doesn’t an everything is settled.

There’s still a lot to do: contract negotiations, playing in the sumr league, offseason training plans…

At the hotel, Zhang Yang was about to return to his room to call his parents, teachers, coaches, the Top Scorer Group…

when Tellem received a call and stopped him.

Tellem, “Jack, go to the French restaurant on the second floor, soone is waiting for you.”

Zhang Yang, “Who?”

Tellem’s eyes shifted as he said, “You’ll know when you get there.”

Zhang Yang, “Oh.”

Tellem, “…”

(╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻

Zhang Yang went to the second floor and, led by a server, arrived at the French restaurant…

and saw a model-like woman waiting at the restaurant entrance.

A question mark appeared invisibly above Zhang Yang’s head; he is only 17, what is Tellem playing at?

However, this ti he was mistaken; the model-like woman said, “Hello, Jack, please follow …”

Zhang Yang put away his wild thoughts, no, he wasn’t thinking wildly, waiting for him was indeed the person he had guessed it would be.

Sure enough, upon entering the restaurant and approaching the window seat, Zhang Yang saw the legendary man—Michael Jordan.

Jordan saw Zhang Yang approaching, stood up, straightened his clothes, took a warm towel from the model-like woman and wiped his hands, then ca over to Zhang Yang, extended his hand and said, “Hello, Jack, nice to et you for the first ti.

Do you like the dining environnt here?”

Zhang Yang reached out to shake hands with Jordan, responding, “The atmosphere here is great; I seldom have the chance to dine at such restaurants.”

Jordan, “Haha, well, you’ll have to get used to it soon.

This is going to be your future life.”

As they sat down, Zhang Yang watched Jordan go through another set of procedures: wiping his hands with a towel, rinsing his mouth…

and then finally reaching for the wine glass…

His feelings now couldn’t be described as speechless.

The joy of eting the God of Basketball was completely gone.

Tellem was the most fastidious person Zhang Yang had t, but according to what his parents found out, Tellem was born into a wealthy family, so those habits were sowhat normal.

Jordan though, a black man, being more fastidious than Tellem!

Although shocked and sowhat incomprehensible, Zhang Yang chose to be tolerant.

After all, it’s not every day they would be dining together, so he could just learn so dining etiquette.

He thought that Jordan’s dining etiquette might even be better than those etiquette teachers.

Finally, Jordan finished the routine and asked, “Jack, do you have any favorite dishes?”

Zhang Yang, “I’ve only had French cuisine once; I’m not familiar with it.

Michael, you recomnd a few dishes for to try.”

Jordan agreed and ordered a few dishes.

When choosing the wine, Jordan thought of sothing and looked at Zhang Yang, unable to hold back a laugh.

Your dining etiquette, huh?

Zhang Yang muttered internally and asked, “Michael, did you think of sothing amusing?”

What kind of reaction is that?

Jordan’s mood was disrupted as he answered, “I just realized that you can’t drink, and even with a rookie contract you wouldn’t be able to enter a bar.”

Zhang Yang: (╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻

This ti it was his turn to be thrown off.

Felton had said the sa thing when they said goodbye just now!

Felton intended to take him and his friends and family to celebrate, but since he couldn’t drink, he didn’t take him along.

Soon, the dishes were successively served to the table.

Zhang Yang looked out at the night view of Manhattan Island.

Eating Western food in the deep night was indeed a different kind of scenery.

Fortunately, the place he lived was just upstairs; after finishing his al, he didn’t have to stroll around the streets.

He had just arrived when he saw a police car whizzing by with sirens blaring.

Legend has it that the cri rate in Gotham isn’t even as high as in New York.

Zhang Yang tried the French cuisine.

It wasn’t quite to his taste, but it was acceptable.

During the al, the two began to chat casually.

When the draft ca up in conversation, Zhang Yang asked, “Michael, you wouldn’t trade to the Lakers, would you?”

Jordan, “Why would I trade you to the Lakers?”

Zhang Yang, “The Charlotte team picked a scoring guard thirteenth in the first round, and the Lakers want this scoring guard.

He’s only 17 years old…

All the conditions basically fit.”

Jordan, “In that case, you really should go to the Lakers.

They called , and I talked to them.”

Zhang Yang, “Oh.”

Jordan, “Aren’t you curious what I discussed with them?”

Zhang Yang, “With the way you’re talking, I know the deal didn’t go through, so there’s no need to be curious anymore.”

Just as Tellem said, this kid is tough to deal with.

Jordan shrugged and spread his hands, “Alright, you win.

I told them if they give an All-Star player, I’d send you over.”

Zhang Yang, “All the conditions were t, but unfortunately, the Lakers refused.”

Jordan, “I was willing to give you to them, but they didn’t want to trade Kobe Bryant.

I had no choice but to refuse.”

Zhang Yang, “…”

Currently, the only All-Star player in his pri on the Lakers’ roster is Kobe alone.

Jordan asked, “Why are you asking about this?”

Zhang Yang, “If you don’t trade , then I can choose the university I want to apply to.

It wouldn’t make sense if I were playing in Charlotte and studying at a university in Los Angeles, would it?

Having to fly across the entire United States to attend classes would be too exhausting.”

Jordan, “You want to postpone entering the NBA?

That shouldn’t be possible anymore.

You’ve already entered the draft and were selected.

You can’t play in the NCAA anymore.”

Zhang Yang, “Huh?”

Jordan, “Then what do you an?”

Zhang Yang, “I an going to college.

My academic scores are pretty good.”

Jordan, “Uh…

You took the SAT in your junior year?

How many points did you score?”

Zhang Yang, “It seems that the application score threshold for the various branches of UNC only requires a little over 1300 points.

I scored a bit higher than that.”

Jordan, “How much higher?”

Zhang Yang, “Two hundred more.”

Jordan, “You started playing basketball at 15, entered the NBA draft at 17, and in between, you still found the ti to study and score over 1500 points?”

Zhang Yang, “Studying makes happy, I feel uncomfortable not studying for a day.”

Jordan felt an urge to hit soone, a strong urge!

It had been a long ti since he had felt this irritated.

But, but!

This was the flavor he was looking for!

The flavor of being able to show off in any situation!

After trying it out, it’s possible to finish writing by 1 o’clock, so from tomorrow on, Xiao Feng will update before 2 p.m.

and before 12 a.m.!

I’m asking for monthly passes and recomndation tickets!
