Chapter 40: Chapter 40 Scheming Against Mo Shang

Although he had the intention to retreat, being used as a pawn by a wet-behind-the-ears brat wasn’t the only issue; his betrothal had also been torn apart. This slap in the face struck both Mo Shang and the Prince Liu Mansion.

If he were to leave like this, wouldn’t it be equivalent to skulking away in defeat?

Mo Shang glanced at Chief Luo, who had already been burned to death on the ground, and his expression darkened. A terrifying aura swept across the room like a tsunami, overwhelming everyone present and suppressing the area.

The entire reception hall was enveloped by his imposing presence.

"Chu Feng, you’ve got so nerve! Luo Qude was personally praised by the Holy Emperor himself. Even if he committed a grave error, it’s not your place to deal with him! At the very least, you should report to the Holy Emperor and let him decide personally!"

"And you will be captured. After Prince Liu reports to the Holy Emperor, your fate will be determined!"

As he spoke, Mo Shang stepped forward and instantly appeared in front of Chu Feng.

However, he did not dare to act rashly, especially since Chu Feng had just killed Chief Luo with a Fla Burst Pill, severely deterring all enemies present.

Three incredibly solid Sword Qi appeared at Mo Shang’s fingertips.

With each sword ridian penetrated, one could manifest a Sword Qi.

Then, based on the strength of the Sword Qi stored within the sword ridians, it can be classified into ten levels.

For example, Chief Luo, who was taken down by Chu Feng, could only manifest one sword ridian and his Sword Qi was weak, making him a re Beginner Level Sword Master of the First Level.

The solidity of Mo Shang’s Sword Qi suggested that sword light could form at any mont, and his cultivation quite possibly reached the Advanced Sword Master at the Tenth Level. He was just half a step away from advancing to a Great Sword Master.

In the entire Sword King Mansion, no one was his match.

Even Chu Jianlan only had the cultivation of a Beginner Level Sword Master at the Tenth Level, far inferior to Mo Shang.

Although Mo Shang appeared to be very strong on the surface, he was actually extrely cautious. His left hand was consistently in a defensive stance, and only the tip of his right foot touched the ground—he was in a false step stance, ready to retreat or dodge at any mont.

"Capture ? Try to make a move!" Chu Feng, with an indifferent expression, looked coldly at the powerful Mo Shang.

"Boy, who do you think you’re scaring?" Mo Shang gazed at Chu Feng, still verbally strong yet clearly not daring to make a move.

Such a display of bravado with underlying cowardice did not escape Chu Feng’s notice. A mocking smile slowly appeared on his lips.

Chu Feng truly wasn’t just bluffing Mo Shang; even though the Fla Burst Pill was used up, he still had the Abnormal Fire at his disposal.

Though his Nine Yang Strange Fire was still weak, a full-force exertion was more than enough to burn a Swordsman to death.

"Dare to harm my brother, and I will fight you with my life!" Chu Jianlan leapt over, brandishing her sword, and landed firmly beside Chu Feng.

"Senior brother, there’s no need for that. Killing this old man is no different from slaughtering a dog!" Chu Feng’s hand stayed within his sleeve, making it hard to predict his strength. Both his deanor and tone were filled with imnse confidence.

This level of assertiveness, seen through the eyes of Mo Shang, looked like genuine confidence and reliance.

He beca even more convinced that Chu Feng must have a powerful backing; otherwise, he wouldn’t dare to be so arrogant in front of him.

Carrying the unrivaled montum of just having killed Chief Luo, Chu Feng, being the weaker, shook the stronger with a forward step, his eyes exploding with a cold glint, radiating a pressing killing intent.

An amusing scene unfolded.

Mo Shang, with the cultivation of an Advanced Sword Master at the Tenth Level, was actually forced back by Chu Feng, a re Third Rank Swordsman.

With each step Chu Feng took, Mo Shang retreated a step back.

A layer of fine sweat ford on Mo Shang’s forehead, while Chu Feng, on the other hand, maintained an indifferent expression and looked very confident.

"Chu Feng... you’d better not cause trouble! I am not Luo Qude; I am the manager of the Prince Liu Mansion, not your servant in the Sword King Mansion!"

"If you touch a single hair on , you will be beyond redemption!"

Nobody is unafraid of death.

Mo Shang, feeling the enormous pressure and the threat of death, ultimately said sothing akin to a plea for rcy in his cowardice.

He brought this embarrassnt upon himself. He was already prepared to leave, yet he foolishly tried to salvage so face.

As a result, not only did he fail to regain any honor, but he also lost even more dignity.

One’s dignity was utterly devastated, becoming a complete joke.

"Wuu wuu... Chief Luo, save ! Save ee..." A miserable sobbing hollered from outside, sadder than the cries for deceased parents.

This also afforded Mo Shang an opportunity to step down.

Mo Shang leaped back swiftly, increasing the distance from Chu Feng while simultaneously turning towards the entrance of the living room.

What one saw was Ah-Chang, limping and bawling his way into the grand reception hall. Frightful red welts surfaced on his face and arms.

"How dare you, servant, to barge into this reception hall at will? Get out of here!"

Chu Jianlan’s face darkened as she sternly rebuked.

Currently receiving guests, a lowly servant from within the house had brazenly intruded, how could this be acceptable for the dignity of the Sword King Mansion? Wouldn’t it make others laugh?

Others would only assu that the Sword King Mansion was as chaotic as a marketplace, without the slightest bit of discipline or decorum.

Not to ntion a Prince Manor—even within a re landlord’s estate, hierarchy was strictly observed.

Servants ought to move about and work only within designated areas, and must absolutely not intrude elsewhere.

Yet, the servants of Sword King Mansion, with Chief Luo’s protection and indulgence, were incredibly insolent. It’s fair to say they were utterly lawless, with no rules to speak of.

Had there been any rules, Ah-Chang, a servant, would never dare to enter Chu Feng’s room rashly.

Ah-Chang completely disregarded Chu Jianlan’s scolding, treating it as if Chu Jianlan was rely farting.

He glanced around, did not see Chief Luo, but did see Chu Feng.

"It’s you, it’s all your doing!" Imdiately, Ah-Chang charged towards Chu Feng. His expression was frantic, like an enraged lion.

"Scram!" Chu Feng delivered a palm strike, knocking Ah-Chang to the ground.

No one noticed that during this palm strike, quite a bit of itching powder had sprinkled onto Ah-Chang’s clothes.

"This dog slave actually dared to attack , I will not spare him!"

Chu Feng snatched the treasure sword from his senior brother, poised to execute Ah-Chang.

With Chief Luo already eliminated and Luo Mao about to et King Yan, the only remaining nuisance was Ah-Chang.

To kill one is to kill, to kill two is still to kill.

Seizing this opportunity to remove all the spies in one fell swoop wasn’t a bad idea after all.

Senior brother fretted about this and that, looking before and after, but Chu Feng had no such concerns.

Especially after saving that mysterious black-clothed woman; her exposure must be absolutely avoided, otherwise, the Sword King Mansion would truly be finished.

As for removing these internal spies, now was a golden opportunity.

Even if the Emperor and Prince Liu Mansion were displeased, they would be helpless about it.

"Hold on! This man cannot be killed!"

Naturally, Mo Shang recognized Ah-Chang, and with Chief Luo gone, he needed to prop up a new servant to take Chief Luo’s place.

Ah-Chang was an excellent candidate.

Moreover, Mo Shang recognized Chu Feng’s prowess; if Chu Feng wanted to kill soone, that indicated the person was valuable and should be kept alive.

So he imdiately acted, stepping directly in front of Ah-Chang.

"Manager Mo, step aside, let

execute this Evil Slave!" Chu Feng appeared dreadfully murderous.

Under this pressure, Ah-Chang, who was rolling on the floor, scrambled to get up and imdiately hid behind Mo Shang, clutching his clothes.

"Manager Mo, please speak a word of justice for ! If I weren’t so unbearably itchy, I wouldn’t have committed such a disobedience..." Ah-Chang knew how to seize an opportune mont. He made close contact with Mo Shang, promptly transferring the itching powder onto Mo Shang’s clothes.

The grand performance was about to begin.
