Chapter 150: Repent
“Over there! Over there!” the female Awakened yelled.
“This kid should be enough for the Ape Ghouls to play with for a long ti,” the bald man said coldly with a sullen expression. Through the dense forest, they could see Jiang Xiao trying to get up.
“We’ll run past his side,” the woman said while running and extending her left arm.
On the other side, Jiang Xiao swayed unsteadily and tried to get up. Staring diagonally above, he saw the wooden sword that fell onto the ground.
All of a sudden, Jiang Xiao felt his ankle tightening up.
What’s going on?
Jiang Xiao looked down to see countless vines appearing from the ground and coiling around his ankles tightly and restricting his movent.
Jiang Xiao tried to bear with the pain and raised his leg, only to realize that he couldn’t do so at all because the more he struggled, the tighter the vines would coil around his legs.
The roar of the Ape Ghouls seed to be getting nearer and nearer. Jiang Xiao looked over, only to see the derisive look on the bald man’s face and the icy-cold smirk of the female Awakened.
The aning was self-evident.
The only value Jiang Xiao had left was the fact that he could stall so ti for her by letting the Ape Ghouls rip him apart.

Jiang Xiao waved his hand violently and a ray of Blessing fell on the woman.
“Ah~” The female Awakened suddenly stiffened and her pace began to get ssy. She then staggered and fell forward.
The alluring and shrilling scream did not stop and she fell onto the ground with a loud thud.
Her speed was extrely fast and this ti, she continued to glide forward on the ground.

The female Awakened’s upper body was pressed against the ground as she glided forward with arched legs and slid forward like a scorpion.
Behind her, four or five Ape Ghouls that looked like cubs sward forward and seed to be ripping her body apart.
The bloody and ruthless scene took place in front of Jiang Xiao.

The bald man moved his body abruptly as if he could see behind him. The vines that suddenly appeared beneath his feet did not intertwine around his ankles and instead, smacked against the ground. The female Awakened died and the vines stopped moving. Instead, they were scattered on the ground feebly, seemingly having lost their lives too.
Jiang Xiao felt his limbs turning cold.
The reality was indeed much harsher. Be it because of the death of the female Awakened or her last attack, Jiang Xiao managed to see how terrifying the world was.

At that last, critical mont, the bald man did not choose to save her and instead, scurried away decisively without even turning his head around. It was as if she was never his teammate.
The female Awakened’s choice was just as terrifying. She did not try to escape from the Ape Ghouls and instead, chose to restrain the bald man too, in a bid to make him die with her!

“You’re making your bait to stall so ti for you?” Jiang Xiao quickly cut the vines. Fortunately, he could move his left leg again.
Jiang Xiao waved his hand violently and cast a ray of Blessing.
While Jiang Xiao moved his arm, the bald man’s body tilted to the side violently too.
The pillar that had received a “Blessing”... actually fell?
In Jiang Xiao’s eyes, such a scene seed to have the sa impact as that of the female Awakened getting her limbs dismbered.
