"Cedeit…"
Inside his own Subconsciousness, Cesar hasn't seen the eyes that will either nag or point out sothing the mont he enters the white space.
It was still quiet.
Weirdly enough, Cesar felt 'exposed' without Cedeit to protect him from the inside.
If that was even called being protected by him in the first place which Cesar was already aware that hasn't been the case all this ti, Cesar took a huge sigh.
It was just their twisted way of helping each other while strengthening themselves up.
"Uh, Cesar. You need to wake up,"
Hearing Arnold's gaunt voice outside of his Subconsciousness, Cesar stopped pestering wherever Cedeit was now and what he was doing and ca back to the real world.
Cesar didn't even get to ask what made Arnold's tone like that and his gaze fell forward.
Their next destination, Silo City, didn't look like any city at all.
People were running around as if preparing to defend against a siege. Their walls were manned with people, so were military n while most seed to be civilians.
As they got closer to the gates which were being guarded by n, they stopped as they got asked for any license or credentials that proved they were real and not just enemies.
"Na and your purpose of visit to Silo City?" The guard who looked like he hadn't taken a nap for a few days added, "Also provided anything that provides that it is you. It must be either sanctioned by other official organizations or Powerhouses,"
Arnold took out his identification card that made him the Headmaster of the Academy while Cesar handled out his newly acquired badge.
Seeing the card from Arnold and the badge from Cesar, the guard couldn't help but be surprised and looked back and forth between them and their licenses.
"Oh my god… I'm sorry if I was a bit disrespectful to you now,"
The guard drew out an exhausted sigh upon realizing the people in the car weren't just nobody who wanted to harm the city.
He could've recognized both of them if he wasn't that tired.
Arnold then retorted, "Don't worry, I know you're just doing your job and we didn't feel disrespectful at all. May I ask sothing though? Why is Silo City manning up their city? The Revolutionary Army is moving up North right?"
The guard didn't take long before answering, "We don't know much about what is happening now but the Mayor asked us to prepare as we received information from the Revolutionary Army. According to the military which we gathered the information from, one of the armies is coming to this city. We don't know the reason why but this is already confird,"
Cesar chid in, "What army?"
The guard took a long pause before revealing, "They call themselves Five Hundred Strong n,"
Arnold who was planning to use Silo City as a way to only pass by since it could be their ticket to get a nearer pass towards the Langston Bridge, knew he had to cancel the idea.
However, Arnold wasn't alone.
Cesar who would want to co to the Academy as fast as possible would've ignored the city's problems and co straight to his goal.
The only problem is that Arnold isn't the type of person to let that chance slip to help the city which might be facing complete disruption.
Unlike what happened to Dawn Breaker where they have no idea that it was supposed to happen, Silo City is different.
Cesar with a regrettable face, asked, "Can we talk about your Mayor about the preparation you've already made?"
…
Cesar and Arnold were well-received by the citizens. By the looks of it, they were in dire need of a leader who could lead them toward the path of victory against the incoming attack from the Five Hundred Strong n.
Who wouldn't want to be led by the Headmaster of the Academy and a future Captain of the Army in these urgent tis?
As seconds go by, they are led by the people of the city towards the Mayor's manor who will be eting them urgently.
Soon, the guard led them to the Mayor's chamber.
"Afternoon Mayor, we're just passersby until we heard about your problem regarding one of the armies under the Revolutionary Army. We would like to help you at your problem," Experience tales with My Virtual Library Empire
The man who seed to be his middle ages, glanced back after looking through his balcony before making a surprise expression the instant his gaze locked onto Arnold.
"Army's Greatest Enchanter?"
Arnold was surprised upon hearing that title before letting out a confused smile, "I… didn't hear that title for a while now. Mostly because I'm the Headmaster of the Academy. That's what everyone called when I was in the Army though. Have you been on duty, sir?"
"Wow, I'm being called sir by my senior," The Mayor shrugged his hand dismissively before introducing himself, "My na is Trevor Scott. I'm nobody, sir. However, there's a reason why I managed to get a Mayor position in one of the cities available,"
Arnold was surprised by Mayor Trevor's words and retorted back, "Woah, you got a Mayor position as your retirent reward. That seems a dream co true. You have children Trevor?"
Trevor paused, his face slowly saddening, "Unfortunately, no. My wife… died due to a Nightmare accident. Since then, I've never moved on,"
Arnold instantly stiffened up, probably thumping his head inwardly by asking that question.
They were never ant to talk like that since they had important matters to discuss but the two old n seed could not help to reminisce about the past.
'Man, these two old geezers…'
Cesar let out a sigh as he demanded, "May I know what's the current status of the city? What are the current strategies to defend against the incoming group? How prepared are we?"
Trevor who understood where Cesar was coming from imdiately gave so answers that left the two disappointed.
"Unfortunately, we received the information too late. The Five Hundred Strong n will inevitably be coming. I will not deny the situation in the city is dire but we're trying our very best to hold on until the Army cos here."
Just as everything was turning worse to awful, Trevor revealed a piece of key information, "However, we received a ti interval that the Army promised. About the ti when they are coming here,"
Trevor opened his palm and stated, "If they did attack this city, the Army promised us five hours. Hence we're planning on defending the city instead of attacking head on,"
