Chapter 434: Leave

He was so shocked that he grabbed the tea to drink. However, the tea was cold. The tea wasn’t brewed. The water… was cold. It hadn’t been boiled. It was probably tap water.

“Doctor.” Examining the Doctor and the cold tea, Fatty was flustered. “Are you… Alright?” He thought the mission had impacted Jiang Cheng too much… Or, it might be that strange copper door.

When the Doctor stood before the door, he might be affected by it in ways that he didn’t anticipate.

“Are you still refusing to tell the truth?” Staring at Fatty, the emotions in Jiang Cheng’s eyes exploded. He didn’t get it. Why wouldn’t he admit it at this point? He had given Fatty plenty of chances. He had considered many excuses for Fatty. He might be threatened; he wanted to steal from Jiang Cheng… As long as Fatty admitted his mistake, he could forgive him. He could not forgive being played a fool.

Jiang Cheng reached out to grab Fatty’s collar and pressed him to the couch. The massive force frightened Fatty.

“Doctor, what’s wrong?” Fatty gasped and knocked the cup over. The shreds glowed coldly in the light. “I’ve never lied to you. Everything… I said it's real. If you don’t believe , we can go to E City…”

Hearing E City, Jiang Cheng’s eyes glowed wickedly. He didn’t think the cowardly Fatty would be such an actor. Even at this point, he wanted to trick him.

In his fury, he raised his fist to punch Fatty’s face. He held back, but the punch still caused Fatty’s nose to bleed. Just as he was about to swing a second ti, Fatty’s afraid and wronged expression halted him.

The mory of the past appeared in his mind. Honestly, Fatty treated him well… very well. In the mission about ancient China, he risked his life to carry news for him. In the latest mission, if Fatty didn’t move Li Zhui, both he and Banana Wolf would die. In the end, it was Fatty who shared the pressure from the door so they could escape. If Fatty wanted to kill him, he could have done that many tis already.

Jiang Cheng’s body shook. In the end, he let go. He staggered back and fell on the ground. He looked sadder than Fatty.

“Leave.”

Fatty’s face was bloody. However, he didn’t wipe it. He was stunned. He didn’t know what happened. What was going on with the Doctor? What did he want him to say?

Everything he said was real…

Then, he rembered what Boss Lin told him. After he connected the two, he realised they had been suspecting him and his origin. Fatty knew that the Doctor had been through a lot, but he didn’t expect that the Doctor would suspect him.

“Leave now.” Jiang Cheng sat down and pulled out a backpack. He waved his arm, and the bag landed on the ground. It moved to Fatty’s feet. This was Fatty’s bag. The backpack was bulging. The Doctor had packed it for him. He was chasing him out. There was no celebration that wouldn’t end…

However, he didn’t think it would co so soon and suddenly.

Fatty pressed his lips. Tears rolled down his eyes. He looked haggard. It could be sadness or indignation. Fatty wiped the blood from his nose and stood up to bow at Fatty. “No matter what, thank you for looking after , Doctor.” Fatty said, “I’ve never lied to you. Not now, not ever.” Fatty carried his bag and moved to the door. “After I’m gone, Doctor, you have to look after yourself.”

Fatty, who was so indecisive, was determined this ti. After he left, Jiang Cheng, on the couch, recovered after a long ti. He slowly walked to the kitchen. He looked like he was going to brew himself a cup of coffee. However, after he added the coffee grounds, his hands moved involuntarily to the faucet and switched it on. The cold water splattered the coffee grounds. Jiang Cheng’s hand shook, and the cup landed in the sink loudly. It didn’t break, but it twirled in the sink.

With his hand on the edge, Jiang Cheng gasped for air. Panic rose in his heart. Darkness spread around him. He felt like he was being consud by darkness. He raised his trembling left hand. Right underneath his palm was a deep red door.

As the door opened, his shadow on the wall started to twist. A pair of red eyes that he couldn’t suppress slowly opened.

People hurried in the night. The raindrops glowed under the streetlights. A tall woman pulled her coat close and ran rapidly as she moved through the path. In the end, she decided to pick another route. She saw a man by the roadside. He was tall, fat and powerful. However, he didn’t look sane. He ambled by himself. He didn’t have an umbrella and carried a long backpack. The strap was very long. In fact, the bottom of the backpack dragged on the ground, mixing with the mud. He gave off the feeling of a bad guy. He could be drunk or a dangerous holess person.

The woman didn’t stay to observe, afraid of being attacked. She hurried away.

Fatty didn’t care about the woman’s thoughts, or rather, he didn’t even notice her. He was drenched, but he didn’t feel cold. He repeated the conversation he had with the Doctor. The Doctor wanted him to admit the truth, but the funny thing was, he didn’t know what he needed to admit. ??????????????

He had the strange feeling that no matter what he ‘admitted’, as long as he said sothing, the Doctor would let him stay and not chase him away.

The rain beca heavier. The sky thundered.

There was no one on the road. Fatty looked up. In the night sky, the rain was like arrows, threatening to pierce his eyes. The bag was heavy. He pulled it open. There was a large worker’s outfit that he wore to Jiang Cheng’s office. He casually put it on because he was annoyed, and he thought the bag was a burden.

However, as he put the outfit on, he felt sothing heavy inside the left pocket. He slowly eased it out. It was a paper bag the size of an envelope. He undid the tangled thread on the top.

There was a thick stack of money inside.

It was stained with the scent of a pleasant perfu.
