Chapter 432: Warning
This was the known number. What about the unknown ones? How many ‘emotional-void’ monsters did they have? Several hundred? Several thousand?
If this power were used to do sothing, it would wreak great havoc.
At the sa ti, Fatty was thankful that the Doctor t Boss Lin, or else…
Lin Wan ‘Er gave Fatty an unreal feeling. She could read his thoughts by looking into his eyes.
“As I spent more ti with him, I realised he was indeed different from the other kids.” Lin Wan ‘Er said, “He rarely showed interest in things. He showed no respect for the value of life. In other words, he was more detached and antisocial than we thought.
“When soone tried to talk to him, he would not understand the aning of the communication. He only thought it was noisy. One ti, I brought him to the hospital for a routine check. I went to handle so business. He was outside, waiting for . A patient jumped from the roof and landed before him.
“The blood splattered on his body and face before dripping to the ground. Everyone scread in fear, but he just stood there dumbly. He was not scared or panicked. He stood there and allowed the blood to dye his shoes red.
“Later, a nurse who was present told
that she saw the boy laughing. He was laughing at the ruined corpse before him. He seed to be whispering to the dead man.” Lin Wan ‘Er said, “The nurse was frightened. When she told
these things, she kept glancing behind .”
Fatty could guess that the nurse was scared of the Doctor suddenly appearing. Perhaps in her heart, he was a monster who was cruel and cold-blooded. He didn’t know fear or emotions.
This conversation unsettled Fatty. He tried to change the subject. “But the Doctor is okay now. He is loyal to Boss Lin and is very reliable. He is good to , too.” Fatty added, “This is all thanks to Boss Lin. You’ve saved him.”
Lin Wan ‘Er looked at him and asked, “Do you think so?”
“Of course!”
For so reason, Fatty felt like Boss Lin had changed. She wanted to say sothing, but in the end, she rely shook her head.
“By the way.” Fatty suddenly asked, “Is the Doctor ill? When you ntioned him, it’s always at the hospital.” Fatty rembered that the Doctor once ntioned sothing like he only needed thirty seconds. He suspected sothing bad had happened to the Doctor when he was young. Did that deprive him of a specific bodily function? That was so scary.
“He was traumatised.” Lin Wan ‘Er didn’t avoid the topic. “Not physically, but here.” She pointed at her temple. “This was the diagnosis of a popular psychologist. He said that Xiao Cheng gave him a special feeling. There was a different persona guiding him. This could be caused by trauma, but the actual reason happened way too long ago.”
As confusing as it was, Fatty believed the psychologist wanted to say that the Doctor was ntally ill. He probably had schizophrenia. Fatty realised the Doctor was also a psychiatrist. He didn’t think a patient with ntal illness would end up becoming a doctor.
“Because of his personality, he had trouble communicating with others. Plus, he suffered from so constant headaches that took away his mory. I bought so books to learn more about psychology. However, he showed interest in that. In fact, he was very talented.”
Fatty sighed internally. The Doctor’s life could be written into a book. The title could be the self-salvation of a schizophrenic orphan. It would be an aweso tearjerker. He could only include things that he could last for 30 seconds. It might chase away so female fans, but that was nothing.
Seeing Fatty’s expression, Lin Wan ‘Er narrowed her eyes. She seed to understand Fatty’s thought, but not fully.
“The Doctor has had a tough life…” Fatty had many guesses about the Doctor’s past, but he didn’t think it would be this sad.
“Indeed.” Lin Wan ‘Er looked at Fatty and claid, “That’s why I will not allow anyone to harm or trick him.”
“I agree!” Fatty didn’t seem to grasp the hidden aning. He gripped his fists and promised. “I also will not allow anyone to harm the Doctor. As for tricking him…” Fatty turned around to promise Lin Wan ‘Er. “Boss Lin, you’re worried for no reason. With the Doctor’s brain, we should be thankful that he’s not out there tricking others.”
“Is that so?” Lin Wan ‘Er laughed happily. She looked up, revealing a warm glow in her eyes.
