Chapter 426: Evil and Kindness

“Hmm?” Wu’s eyes paused as if discovering sothing strange. He detected the scent of the door on the man, but why… Why did his door… disappear?

CREAK…

A scratching sound entered his ears. He frowned. The painting on the canvas started to bulge with a ghastly face. A bleeding wound appeared on the paper as an arm poked out. Soon, a female ghost covered in blood crawled out. Her eyes were bloody as she gasped for air. She was covered in wounds. She probably murdered her way there. The giant knife was dripping with blood.

“Bastard!” Wen Qing was like a zombie. Her eyes glared at Wu. “I will make you pay for Banana Wolf’s death!” The next second, the blade slashed behind Wu. Perhaps he admired Wen Qing’s courage, or he didn’t think any ghosts could harm him. Wu didn’t intend to fight back. However, he realised his hands were guided by a strange force. He couldn’t move his hands.

The slash landed behind Wu, but the knife slowed down. Even the strongest determination couldn’t cross the gulf in power difference.

Wen Qing watched the knife helplessly. Then, she pounced forward. Even if she had to use her teeth, she had to bite the creator of the horror stories. The blade cut through her body. She couldn’t even touch the man before she was slamd into the wall. She collapsed beside Jiang Cheng’s feet, barely alive.

The person who caught Wu’s attention was the man called Hao Shuai. The attraction was a new feeling. He was curious, but he was not scared. At least, Hao Shuai didn’t possess any power that could threaten him. Dealing with him might take more ti.

“It looks like I have to slice you open to find that door.” Holding the hilt with one hand, he spun his fingers. Blood leaked out of the wounds. Jiang Cheng looked like he was asleep. The physical pain was less than the ntal tornt. The fragnts were shattered and then pieced together to be shattered again.

There was a buzz. A soft land suddenly landed on his shoulder. “Please don’t do this anymore.” Lin Chen appeared beside him. Lin Chen wore a simple dress. Her pale cheeks were covered in tears. “Please stop.” She called with a hoarse voice, “You didn’t start off like this, right?”

Wu’s gaze landed on Jiang Cheng’s pocket. The pocket was open. The painting inside the pocket… was gone.

It was the woman who appeared earlier!

When she attacked Wu, she snuck away the painting and awakened Lin Chen, who was resting in the bedroom.

“I’m sorry.” Lin Chen hugged Wu from behind. She was as warm as water as she slowly rippled over his body. “It was my fault. I shouldn’t have created you in despair. I was too selfish. I was unable to survive the despair, so I had you take it away from . Let go.” Lin Chen’s eyes shone. “You can’t keep making the sa mistake.”

The giant canvas opened behind Lin Chen. Many people walked out. The despair in their eyes slowly clarified.

“Hah.” Wu pulled back to look at Jiang Cheng. “Co out now. I know it’s you!”

An illusory person walked out from Jiang Cheng’s shadow. He pulled out the knife that had plunged into his chest. The person was dressed in white, forming a great contrast to the black Wu. They were like light and darkness, two extres. The man raised his head to reveal a face identical to Wu’s. However, their presence couldn’t be more different. The black-clothed Wu was sharp and vicious. His white counterpart was gentle and friendly. This was Wu’s kindness.

“You have done well.” The man who looked like Wu said. As he pulled out the knife, Jiang Cheng staggered, but he didn’t fall. He felt half of his body burning, but the other half was frozen. Earlier, he appeared to have touched the mory lock in his brain. The transient mory clashed in his mind. Everything that happened before him was blurry.

In that mont, there was a jolt of pain in his palm. The sharp blade sliced his palm, and the wound was covered by a soothing cold. “This door… I’ll give it to you.” The kind Wu held up Jiang Cheng’s hand. The next second, they appeared beside the copper door. He placed Jiang Cheng’s bloody palm on it. In that mont, intense pain thrusted through Jiang Cheng. Endless bloodlines surged out from the door to bind his hand. Dark red runes appeared on the door. They looked like ancient languages.

“Is this… what you call… Letting go?” The dark Wu turned to look at Lin Chen with bloody tears in his eyes. “For the sake of kindness in your heart, you’re going to watch

die?” The dark Wu clucked. “You’re going to watch… as my door is slowly drained away?”

Lin Chen’s body trembled.

“Big Sister, you can forgive everyone who has hard you, but why do you have to kill ? I am willing to do anything to protect you.” The bloody tears dropped into his mouth as he questioned the weak woman. “Where was he when I protected you and killed those people who hurt you?” Wu pointed at the man who looked like him.

He didn’t understand why certain people could be born and live in the light and warmth. The thing that annoyed him the most was… that man could dominate Big Sister’s love. Was… it fair?

“Why?” Wu howled in pain. “Just because he is a man of morals?Just because he is always there to say so useless comforting words after you have been bullied?

“Big Sister, I’m the only one who can protect you!

“I’ll kill anyone who bullies you. I’ll turn them into horror stories so that they’ll pay for their sins!

“Once we have enough stories, no one can bully you anymore! As long as I am alive, no one can harm you!”

Bloodred curses appeared on his body. Then, the curses snapped as the limitations placed on him lted like snow. The walls started to crack. The sky changed. The world behind the door beca unstable due to dark Wu. The despair was finally exploding.

“You’re a hypocrite with false kindness…” Wu slowly stood up as he stared at his twin. The shadow behind him twisted.

A blood moon rose into the sky outside the window.
