This universe felt desolate, and Grey saw no corruption anywhere.
No dark energy swirled around the boundaries, no abyssal taint poisoned the stars. The space stretched empty and clean before him.
Something was definitely wrong.
Grey’s eyes narrowed as he scanned the surroundings, his senses reaching out across the void. This place had been marked as corrupted in Alan’s navigation systems.
Yet nothing here matched that description.
"This is a trap." Grey realized.
The moment that thought formed, space behind him tore open.
A massive figure burst through the dimensional rift, its body covered in dark scales and burning with abyssal flames. The creature stood three times Grey’s height, its eyes glowing with malevolent intelligence.
"YOU FELL FOR IT!" The Abyssal General roared, his voice shaking reality itself. "NOW DIE, INTRUDER!"
The general’s name was Vorathos, one of the manders serving directly under the Abyss.
His claws descended toward Grey with enough force to shatter a planet, abyssal energy coating each strike with corrosive power.
Grey didn’t move.
"Oh?" He tilted his head with mild interest. "The Abyss is directly operating in the 12th dimension now?"
Vorathos’s attack connected with empty air.
Grey had already appeared behind him, his expression unchanged.
"Interesting." Grey said. "But you picked the wrong target."
Vorathos spun around with a snarl, his massive form moving faster than something that size should be capable of. More abyssal energy gathered in his palms, forming into devastating projectiles.
"YOU THINK YOU CAN ESCAPE?!" Vorathos launched the attacks.
Grey simply stood there.
His Source stirred as he directed his consciousness inward, the Law of Spirit activating instantly. His willpower became a tangible force, spreading throughout his existence.
The following instant, The Thought-Demolishing Matrix activated.
Grey immediately willed the universe to end.
BOOM!
Space shattered like broken glass around them, time unraveling into nothing. Matter dissolved into pure energy, then faded into the void.
Vorathos’s eyes went wide with terror.
"IMPOSSIBLE!" He screamed. "YOU’RE ONLY AT THE FIRST LEVEL! HOW CAN YOU—"
His words cut off as his existence unraveled along with the universe.
The abyssal energy, the dark scales, the burning flames, all of it scattered into nothingness.
Grey gathered the origin power that remained, the fundamental energy flowing into his storage. The amount was substantial this time, far more than the corrupted universes had provided.
"This should be enough." Grey nodded with satisfaction.
He stepped back into the chaos where Alan waited.
Alan’s eyes went wide seeing him return.
"Master Grey, what happened in there?" Alan asked. "The sensors detected a massive power signature before the universe collapsed."
"The Abyss set a trap." Grey answered casually. "I already dealt with it don’t worry."
Alan blinked several times, processing that information.
Grey smiled. "Let’s go back."
Alan nodded slowly, still looking stunned.
"Yes, Master Grey." He turned back to the controls. "I’m setting the coordinates back to the main universe now."
The Reality Ship turned and began its journey home.
Alan’s fingers moved across the navigation panel, plotting the optimal route through dimensional space. The ship hummed as it accelerated, the universes outside blurring into streams of light.
"Master Grey." Alan spoke after a moment of silence. "If the Abyss is setting traps in the 12th dimension, does that mean they’ve expanded their operations?"
"Probably." Grey leaned back in his seat. "But that’s a problem for another day."
The journey back took less time than the outward trip.
Grey watched the dimensional barriers pass by, his mind already moving to the next phase of his plan. Origin Will’s evolution was the immediate priority, but after that came something even bigger.
Unification of the Universe.
The Reality Ship crossed back into the Azure Origin Universe, its hull sliding through the dimensional membrane without resistance.
Grey stepped out the moment they landed.
Origin Will’s presence descended immediately.
"You’re back." Her form materialized before him, her expression curious. "That was faster than I expected."
"I have the stuff you." Grey said simply.
He extended his hand, and the gathered origin power flowed into visibility. The energy pulsed with the fundamental essence of destroyed universes.
Origin Will froze pletely seeing this.
Her eyes went wide as she sensed the nature of the energy before her.
"This is..." She struggled to find words. "This is genuine 12th plane origin power."
"Duh? Why are you so shocked, I clearly told you I was going to go get some Origin power."
"But How?" She asked, her voice filled with disbelief. "You left at the first level of the 12th rank. That power level shouldn’t be capable of acquiring this much origin energy from a 12th plane of existence universe."
She had expected him to return with nothing but he came back with the full amount!
"Were you hiding your strength?" She asked with a suspicious stare.
Grey shrugged hearing this.
"Not really." He said. "I just found something useful that can blow up universes."
Origin Will stared at him for a long moment.
"Sure." She rolled her eyes, clearly not believing him.
Grey just smiled at her reaction.
"Now that I’m strong." He said. "I think it’s time I unified this world, right?"
Origin Will tilted her head.
"Do what you want." She replied.
Grey nodded.
The decision had been made long ago, but now he finally had the power to execute it. Those Origin Body evolvers had existed in this universe for millennia and with them existing, true unification will be a painful process.
They now had two options.
Submit or leave.
Honestly, Grey liked their leader Andrew. The man was wise, intelligent, and capable of seeing the bigger picture. He would understand what Grey was offering.
But first, Grey needed to make an announcement.
He closed his eyes and reached out across the universe.
His consciousness expanded, touching every corner of reality within the Main Universe. From the smallest planet to the largest galaxy, his presence spread without limit.
"Hello, mic test!"
His voice projected to every being in existence.
"I am Grey Lockhart, and right now my voice is being projected to all parts of the universe."
On the other side of the universe, Andrew sat in the central chamber of the Myriad Gates.
The moment Grey’s voice reached his ears, his expression changed dramatically.
