The liquid within was a delicate shade of pink— shimring slightly under the light.

He t her gaze, his voice gentle, but clear. "This.. Is a special concoction to cleanse away the excess unharnessed mana that builds up in one’s body over ti. It will make you vomit, unfortunately, and you may feel weak for a day or two, but rest assured, it’s completely safe— I promise."

Coco took the vial from his hand, her fingers curling around the cool glass.

The physician’s smile remained warm as he watched her, then added. "That’s all for you. The sa checks will be done for your diators, but since they are.. Special cases.. I will also conduct a pregnancy examination on them later."

He paused and simply stared at her. "Is that alright with you?"

Coco nodded, a flicker of relief seeping into her eyes, because she had spoken to her mother last night, had voiced her request, but she wasn’t sure if her mother had listened.

Cleora looked quite shocked after all.

Now, seeing the physician preparing to check the n in the sa way, she felt a small sense of security.

"They will cooperate." She murmured, more to herself than anyone. "And they’ll be okay."

Coco stood up, the vial disappearing into the folds of her dress, and turned to her husbands, her gaze fell on the red haired diator.

A small, almost sly smile tugged at the corner of her lips. "You go first, pretty boy."

Zaque’s cheeks flushed as he rose from his seat and moved toward the stool that Coco had vacated.

"Can’t wait to get this over with." He murmured to himself, dropping down and settling in front of the physician with a straightened back.

The physician turned his attention to Zaque, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

"Ready, son?" He asked the diator.

Zaque settled deeper into the stool, his shoulders relaxed as he gave a slight nod, then he looked at Coco briefly, his eyes eting hers for a single mont before he turned back to the physician.

"Please be gentle with ." He stated, voice even despite the flutter of nerves in his gut. "I can take anything. Just make sure she’s okay."

The physician got to work on Zaque, his movents smooth and clinical.

Zaque sat perfectly still, breathing evenly and keeping his gaze straight ahead, and after checking his heart rate, temperature, and lung function, the physician finally signaled for the next diator to take a seat.

"Next, please." He called, making the others shift awkwardly on their spot.

The others exchanged glances, unsure of who to go first, but one push from Coco, Quizen stepped forward— dropping into the stool with all the grace of a reluctant toddler.

The fourth diator endured the physician’s examination with minimal protest, his jaw kept in place slightly as the stethoscope pressed against his chest.

Within monts, it was over, he stood quickly and stepped aside like he had been burned.

Kairo didn’t move at first, he rely watched Heiren from across the room, then glanced toward Coco— who gave him a small nod of encouragent.

Finally, he stepped forward and slowly sank onto the stool in front of the physician.

Quizen scrambled to get away from him and walked to Coco’s side, quietly relieved at the fact that he’s finally done.

Kairo finished his check-up quickly, the examination was smooth and efficient, with the physician barely giving him a second glance and double check of everything nor words of encouragent.

Then, all attention shifted to the final diator, Alhai who now approached the stool with a look of doubt.

"Pull your shirt apart, son." The physician murmured, picking up his stethoscope as Alhai sat down. "It’s finally your turn. Let’s get this over with, shall we?"

"Just get it over with." He muttered under his breath, frowning.

The physician didn’t flinch at the tone and instead, adjusted his glasses calmly before reaching for the stethoscope again. "Deep breaths, young man. d

Don’t rush ."

The diator huffed, not comnting further.

Alhai’s exam seed to take longer— far longer than anyone else’s, much to his growing irritation.

The physician moved with painstaking care, checking each function twice and triple-checking each reading.

When the last test was finally done, Alhai let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding until his gaze flickered to the physician when the old man pulled the device away.

The physician smiled, his focus now shifting to gathering his tools.

Heiren took Alhai’s place and the others held their breath as he settled into the stool— the atmosphere still carried the tension of Alhai’s prolonged examination, so everyone was on high alert.

The physician began the familiar sequence of tests, checking Heiren’s heart rate, body temperature, and lung capacity.

He was thorough, efficient, and nothing in his deanor suggested any hint of concern.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Heiren was done and he stood, a slight exhale of relief escaping him.

Heiren stepped away from the stool, his arms falling beside him with his expression in between annoyance and exhaustion, even though he didn’t actually do anything straining.

He dropped beside Coco, his arms circling around her waist.

Coco quickly returned the embrace of her husband and carded her fingers through his brown locks, pressing her lips onto his cheek as he buried his face onto her shoulder.

She rubbed his back using her free hand, comforting him for whatever he’s feeling.

Zaque and Quizen eyed the brown haired diator, their mood worsening the longer kept his arms locked around her waist, pulling her flushed and tightly against him.

As much as they don’t mind seeing Heiren ask for Coco’s attention and affection, they couldn’t stop the feeling of envy seeing her dote on him.

Still, they turned away, their attention falling into the physician that stood up and walked to them.

"What’s the news, Elias?" Cleora asked, stepping right in front of the diators and her daughter, raising an eyebrow.
