The physical examination didn’t take long— it didn’t even hit an hour mark so it roused the hunters’ curiosity even more when they saw her walking towards the mission board.
Coco walked out of the guild, two missions clutched tightly into her hand and a frown on her face.
She still felt bitter about what the guild master had tried to pull earlier and couldn’t help, but feel under the weather all the way to the city gates, causing the guards on duty to tense when they saw her.
It was evident that Coco wasn’t in the mood so all of them kept their mouths shut until she passed by.
Who knew that hearing the person she looked up to say those words would make her feel this upset and bitter?
Her mother and sisters had never tested her before, but the guild master wanted to?
Well, she understood why he wanted to test her strength out himself, but still— it was upsetting for so reason.
Do they think that I’m a monster, too? Coco thought, her heart beating painfully.
She rembered the day when Kairo got kidnapped by the monster who disguised itself and called her the monster because she was the one out in the forest, hunting down monsters.
What can she do though? That’s literally her job.
Coco let out a sigh and rubbed her temples, her shoulders tensing and stance rigid.
She chose an easy mission so she can finish it quickly, and once she’s done, she will go ho to her husbands and shower all of them with affection— especially Zaque and Heiren.
The two diators are the remaining ones whom she had not slept with yet, but that will change tonight and tomorrow night.
A smile twitched its way to Coco’s lips, her cheeks reddening and lips parting as the thoughts of what she wanted to do to Zaque and Heiren flooded her mind.
"ow." Konoha wled, snapping Coco out of her thoughts.
"Goodness, I’m at work!" Coco gasped, her eyes widening and cheeks warming with sha. "What am I thinking? I shouldn’t think about those positions I want to put them in while I’m working!"
"ow." The white, fluffy cat rely wled, her slit irises staring blankly ahead of them.
It was obvious what Coco was thinking with just one look in her face, and one would either judge her for it because it’s literally ten in the morning, or one would applaud her for her determination.
Still, Coco believes that it’s misconduct.
Coco raised the missions to her face and squinted her eyes to read the details. "Okay, all I have to do is get three tough crocodiles— ugh, this was the monster I was looking for when I got ambushed by that fucking pig."
"I didn’t ambush you." A voice said right beside her ear, causing her to clench her fist and throw a punch over her shoulder on whoever was standing close to her.
Her fist ca in contact into the stranger’s jaw, making them stumble back a couple of feet and crash into a tree.
Coco’s heart was beating anxiously, her breath slightly ragged and labored due to fright.
"What the fuck are you doing sneaking up on people like that, huh?!" Coco hissed, pointing a finger on the pig who ambushed her last night.
Leo groaned, his wings fluttering behind him as he got back on his feet, albeit painfully.
"Must you throw a punch at like that, human?" He grunted out, holding his jaw and massaging it, all the while shooting a glare at Coco. "I didn’t co here to be beaten up— that hurts. You sure can throw a punch."
"I sure can!" Coco growled and gripped her farming tool tightly. "If you try to do anything funny, I won’t run away this ti. Instead, I’ll beat you to death."
Leo shut his mouth and eyed her for a second, from the hand that was gripping a farming tool and two sheets of papers to the unpleasant expression she had on her face.
He scoffed. "If it wasn’t because of Cleora, I would have killed you last night."
Coco’s eyes went wide and before she knew it, she had lunged herself towards Leo, the blade of her unbreakable hoe slamming against his ribcage with a sickening crack.
The humanized flying pig let out a cough, blood spluttering out of his mouth from the impact.
She was too fast for the king beast to protect himself, and he was a little too late to see that she had already made her move to attack him.
"If it weren’t for her, I would have died right then and there, leaving my husbands all alone." Coco growled, her eyes narrowing down at Leo who was on four and clutching his side.
"I plan to make them happy and if sothing were to happen to before I could make that happen, I’ll make sure to co back and have my harasser get the injuries I received ten more tis." Coco muttered, raising her arm and bringing the hoe down onto Leo’s back.
She poured a lot of strength onto her first attack alone, that’s why Leo was coughing out blood, but the second attack?
Oh, she poured almost half of her soul into it.
But before the blade of the hoe could crash onto the flying pig’s back, a scream snapped her out of her fit of anger.
"COCO, STOP!"
Coco’s attack stopped mid-air, the hoe rely an inch away from digging onto Leo’s spine.
She raised her head and let her attention drift onto the person who had scread at her, and her breath got caught in her throat when she saw who it was.
"Don’t hurt yourself, Coco!" Cleora cried out, her eyes welling up with tears.
Now that Coco had t her in broad daylight, she could see the woman’s features much clearer— and the sight of her made Coco realize sothing.
She looked almost the sa as Cleora Coison.
