"Lala?" Coco called out, her voice trembling ever so slightly as she descended the staircase, "Where are you, Lala? Can you co out, please?"

Coco was half aware that she had pushed the garden fairy away for the past few days, but that was only because she knows that Lala will be guilty and sad if she were to know the reason why she was feeling so down.

Sure, other people would have let the garden fairy feel guilty about everything that had happened, but they are not her.

Coco would rather prefer to let the fairy know that things just happen for a reason, and Coco believes that she died that day— accidentally or internationally killed— because sothing unexplainable was supposed to happen soon.

She can’t explain it, but she just feels like it would happen, that sothing would happen.

She just doesn’t know what, where, or when.

For now though, all she could do is be strong and distract herself as much as possible— to not let the dam break or let any of the emotions rush out.

"Lala?" Coco continued to call out as she planted the bottom of her inside shoes against the carpeted floor, "Please co out and talk to . I have sothing to say to you."

Coco walked around the second floor, her feet carrying to the kitchen to check if the garden fairy was inside the cookie jar the diators were talking about earlier, but she found nothing and no one.

The cookie jar was placed on the dining table, filled with bite sized cookies, but no flying fairy could be seen anywhere.

Coco sighed. "Lala.."

She turned around and was about to walk towards the living room, but she ca face to face with the very fairy she has been calling for a while now.

"Lala!" Coco brightened up, a big smile erging in her face. "I’ve been looking for you! Where have you been?"

The garden fairy didn’t speak and just stared at Coco, her red eyes blinking as she drank in Coco’s features— from her eyebrows, to her eyes, to her nose, to her cheeks, down to her lips.

"Lulu will be sending her companion to get ." Lala said, the words flowing out of her mouth like acid, making Coco freeze.

"What?" The question left Coco’s mouth before she could think about it, too taken aback and in utter disbelief at what she had just heard from the garden fairy.

"Sister Lulu will be sending her companion to get next week so I’ll be here until then." Lala repeated what she said, much slower this ti.

The gears in Coco’s head turned slowly, trying to process the information she had just heard.

Lala’s going to leave here? Alone? Coco thought, staring blankly at the garden fairy, her heart hamring inside of her chest as the weight of the situation finally settled in.

"You’re leaving?" Coco asked, her voice barely above whisper.

Lala looked away from Coco and flew back, putting so distance between her and her human friend, as she nodded her head.

"Yes.. Lulu said that I can just atone for my mistake in Fairy Dale so I agreed.." The garden fairy mumbled, her gaze slowly shifting downwards and onto the floor, her eyebrows furrowing slightly.

"Why would you agree?" Coco frowned, her hands curling into fists by her side.

"Actually, no, can we talk? Just the two of us? In the music room?" Coco quickly dropped her previous question and gestured down the hall. "That way, the husbands won’t be able to hear us. Not like they can hear you, but it would give us so privacy."

Lala looked at the hallway where Coco was gesturing to and stared, she paused for a beat before she nodded her head and agreed. "Okay.."

"Great, let just get sothing first." Coco said, turning in her heels and walking inside the kitchen.

She walked over to the table and snatched the cookie jar, then faced the door, walking out of the room not even a second later.

"Let’s go." Coco started walking and didn’t wait for Lala’s answer, just letting the fairy fly behind her.

It’s better to resolve whatever misunderstanding Lala had in mind sooner than later. Coco thought to herself, her footsteps quiet against the floor as she made her way to the music room.

Coco opened the door and held it open for Lala, when the fairy flew inside the room, she walked inside and closed the door behind her, turning on the lock.

"Take a seat by the table, Lala." Coco instructed, already walking over to the table.

Once the two of them sat down, Coco opened the cookie jar and placed the lid in front of Lala then she picked one cookie from the jar, dropping it inside the lid.

"Before we start.. Let apologize first." Coco said, placing both of her hands on her lap while simultaneously lowering her head. "I’m so sorry for locking myself inside my room and pushing you away."

Lala gasped, a look of horror etching its way on her face. "Why are you bowing?! And why are you apologizing?!"

Lala completely forgot about the delicious cookie in front of her and instead, flapped her wings and flew over to Coco’s face, reaching out to touch Coco’s cheeks and pushing her head up.

"Don’t lower your head! You shouldn’t do that to anyone!" The fairy hissed, her eyes getting blurry and turning glossy, "Especially not to ! I’m not worthy of your apologies!"

"No, Lala. I was a jerk—"

"If you are, then what about ?" The corner of Lala’s lips twitched, curling down slightly, but she fought against it because she didn’t want to cry in front of Coco anymore.

"I took you away from your dreams and family, took you away from your life that you were just about to build.." Lala said, her voice slowly trailing off as her grip on Coco’s cheeks tightened.

"I killed you, Coco.."
