"Ha! I'm thankful for these skills, but isn't this too good to be true and to be mine, Lulu?!" Coco scread out, facing the sky with clenched fists.
She hope so bad that the fairy will hear her whines or complaints because being bestowed by great skills sounds troubleso for her. What if she needs to offer sothing great and big to the cruel fairy in exchange for the skills?
She was an overachiever in her past life. She would always aim for the highest scores in every class, always on the roll call for honored students and she was about to graduate under the dean's list because she wanted to be the best.
Now that she knows she has these kinds of cheat skills, who knows how greedy and selfish she might beco. She's afraid of herself because she knows that human greed knows no bounds and she's just a human, too.
I'm praying that I won't be too greedy when it cos to sothing.. I might be digging my own grave if I beca unaware of my selfish desires. She let out a sigh and sat up, she scratched the back of her head and glared at the ground once she realized how scary it is to be blinded with greed.
I know that I can't be greedy at tis, especially if it's about sothing I really want. Coco thought, her heart dropping to her stomach at how scary human can be when it cos to their desires.
She did desired sothing once and it didn't end well for her.
Seeing the downcast look on her human friend, Lala decides to chear Coco up. She flew in front of Coco and bead at her, smiling reassuringly and brightly.
"I don't know what skills you received, but I'm sure sister Lulu gave those to you because you deserve it!" The sweet and loving fairy comforted Coco without knowing what kind of inner turmoil she's experiencing right now.
"Yes.. Haha, you're probably right.." Coco said with a sad and dismissive tone.
She stood up from her spot and patted the dirt off from her pants. She placed her hands on her hips and heaved out a deep sigh before she glanced at the dead poisonous tiger.
Her eyebrows furrowed when she saw how luscious the fur looks, it's shining and looked soft— it might catch a handso price if she managed see soone that she could sell it to.
She let out a sigh again and crouched in front of the dead animal, she caressed the tiger's fur and let out a satisfied hum when she felt that it was indeed soft.
"I don't know how to skin a tiger or any animal for that matter so I'll just drag this thing to the village and let soone else do the job for ." She told herself, rubbing the back of her head.
"Would I be able to find a butcher though?" She murmured, letting out a sigh before she picked up the tiger, she heaved it on her shoulder and humd when she realized it wasn't heavy.
The passive skill [Strength] do co in handy at tis, huh? Coco smiled, clearly satisfied that she won't have to struggle on carrying the large animal.
It's bigger than her which made the tail drag behind her. She pressed the back of her head against the tiger's belly, bending the body of the animal so it would wrap around her head. The legs and arms of the tiger are hanging in her chest which grounded the animal's stability.
She turned around and walked back to where she's building her house.
"Co on, Lala." She called the red fairy, "We need to go back to the village because the tiger's at might turn bad if we don't sell it as soon as possible."
"Okay!" Lala imdiately replied, dragging the letter in her response.
Coco humd softly and smiled upon hearing the cheerful outburst of the fairy. Then, she turned back to the plot of land where she buried the potatoes before all that chasing fiasco happened.
"Lala, can you tell if these potatoes will grow well in this kind of soil?" Coco turned her head to the fairy and asked, "I planted them first without asking because you were upset with . You're not upset with anymore, right?"
Upon hearing what Coco said, the happy and excited expression on Lala's face disappeared.
"Humph! I'm still upset with you!" Lala turned her head away while crossing her arms in front of her, a frown settling in her face as soon as she rembered why she was chased by the tiger in the first place.
I was mad at Coco for buying potatoes! Lala told herself and moved away from Coco, the feeling of betrayal crawling back to her skin like goosebumps.
"Okay.." Coco drawled out and turned her head back to the flush lump of soils in front of her, "Guess I'll ask Lulu if she ever decide to visit us."
A horrified gasp escaped Lala's lips, not expecting for Coco to betray her like that.
"I'll check it!" Lala cried out, flying over to the potatoes and inspected the plot with a troubled expression.
It kind of make feel bad to trick her like that, but I need to know if whatever I did will work. Coco thought with a small guilty smile, watching the fairy fly over the plot and check each one of them.
Coco watched her for a few seconds before she turned away, looking for the sack of potatoes that she put aside to bring ho to her husbands.
She saw the exact sack sitting under a tree which made her eyebrows furrow. She can't rember putting the potatoes there and it's quite impossible for Lala to move it.
Did soone move it there when they were being chased?
Nah, that's impossible. I probably did that and just forgot. Coco brushed off the incident from her mind and picked up the sack, being careful as to not drop the tiger on her shoulders.
"It's in good condition!" Lala's voice is dripping with worry and urgency, "It will grow so you don't have to call Lulu for help, okay?"
Coco let out a grunt, gripping the sack in her right hand as she turn her head to the fairy, "I'm not even planning on doing that. Don't worry, you're the only fairy I need, Lala."
"How an!" The fairy exclaid, feeling like she got tricked into sothing.
"I am." Coco agreed wholeheartedly with a nod of her head, "Anyways, we need to go now. You're sure that they'll survive, right? I watered them earlier, we'll co back to tend to them later."
"They'll grow, don't worry!" Lala assured her once more.
Unaware of the chaos she is about to unleash, she marched down the mountain to get to the village with a profound smile on her face while carrying a half full potator sack for her husbands.
