"Yeah, so listen." Coco let out a puff of breath before she started to explain, "There was this kid I t at the town hall yesterday and he was pretty rough with , I ended up telling him about suspicious people, but he was one of the suspicious people!"

No one is suspicious enough for Coco’s eyes who orders other people to restrain the person they want to be restrained.

Yesterday, the little boy ordered his Uncle Rogue to grab Coco which resulted in Coco being in pain because of the suddenness of the restraints and him pressing against her wounds on her back.

If it weren’t for the little boy being a little boy, then she would have given him a slap or two.

"I was being gentle with him, too! I was telling him that he should look out for people who wanted to grab him out of nowhere and not talk to strangers, but then, he ordered his guard to do that to !" Coco exclaid as he shook Zaque’s hand to emphasize what she felt at the mont.

"Can you believe that? After I told him to be careful with strangers, he had the audacity to tell his guard to do that to !" Coco cried out, shaking Zaque’s hands further, her voice dripping with frustration.

"Then, of course, I didn’t know that he was the guest at first while I kept going on about him being careful so I asked Chief Salamandara if she was his guardian! I was embarrassed!" Coco sobbed out in a dramatic manner as her shoulders shook.

"That’s how I found out that he was the guest— Chief Salamandara said that he had just arrived and even told that the kid was a diator!" Coco had let go of Zaque’s hand and buried her face in her hands instead.

"I’m so embarrassed that I just want to die!" Coco cried out to her hands.

Zaque blinked, his brain processing all the information that Coco had just dropped on him and accidentally telling him that she had not got anyone pregnant, but was referring to the new diator in town.

Among all the words she had said, the fact that she was not involved with any diator other than him and her other husbands had left him feeling relieved.

He felt like the rocks over his shoulders got lifted and was thrown off a cliff, forever away from him.

"So, Chief Salamandara explained to you that the new diator will be staying here?" Zaque smiled softly towards Coco and walked towards the kitchen, "Have a seat. I’ll prepare you so tea."

"No, she didn’t." Coco sighed out and did as she was told, taking a seat on the chair that Zaque pulled out for her.

"I figured." Zaque humd softly as he grabbed the tea kettle by the cabinet and poured water inside before placing it on the stove that Coco bought for them recently, "She announced it to so of the villagers, including , last night."

"Why didn’t she tell ? I would have avoided making a fool of myself if she did— oh, wait.." Coco stopped herself from saying anything further because she rembered that she had run away from them.

She let out a groan and facepalms, her sha filling the bar for today.

"Just as I was saying, the little boy will be staying here and would require a few married couples to house him." Zaque said, grabbing the kettle when it started whistling and grabbed a tea cup designated for Coco.

"What? Does that an that he will have to jump from house to house? Wouldn’t that be awkward for the boy?" Coco frowned as she turned to look at Zaque.

"The boy was obviously dropped here by whoever put him in this village and I’m sure that he knows that because I found him looking sad when his guard was talking to the chief." Coco rubbed her temples and sighed.

"It would put him in a tight spot and not only that, he might end up feeling upset with the people who would take him in and refuse to.. Take care of him." Coco grumbled under her breath as she shook her head.

"Why do you think it would put him in a tight spot?" Zaque questioned as he placed the steaming tea in front of Coco.

"Because.. Because it would remind him that he was pushed aside by the people he trusted first. There’s this saying that ’it takes a village to raise a child’ in my previous world where the mothers would look out for each other’s children." Coco mumbled and reached out for the cup.

"The child needs to have people who will take him in and will take care of him with love, not because they were obligated to do so." Coco’s grip on the teacup tightened slightly and she was quick to let go when she realized it.

"You sound like you will be a good mother." Zaque said, placing a loaf of bread on the table with the chocolate spread.

Coco tensed up and she could tell that Zaque would suggest taking the child in so she was quick to reject the idea.

"Trust , I’m not." Coco stated firmly as she shook her head, "I may sound like it and I may be a good mom if I beco one, but I’m not ready for one just yet. I have so many things I want to do before having one."

Zaque blinked and slowly nodded his head in understanding. "That’s.. Amazing.. You have such firm beliefs, Coco."

"That’s because I have witnessed an amazing person take care of three children while also witnessing how it dimd their light." Coco smiled at him, but the smile didn’t reach her eyes.

Zaque swallowed, feeling like he had stepped into a ticking ti bomb.

"It was just a thought." He assured her.

"That should stay just as a thought then." A third voice reached their ears.
