When Wesley was ready, he did not leave that night. Instead, he drove to the office again to pick up Cayla from work.
"You bought a car?" Kayla asked in surprise.
"Yes. It's inconvenient to run around without a car, and you can go anywhere. It's much more convenient to buy a pickup. If you need to transport anything in the future, you can call directly. I'm at your service."
"Okay, I'll rember that. Have you found a news subject now?" Cayla was very concerned about Wesley's work.
"I found it. After I left, I went straight ho and looked for clues on the Internet," Wesley said as he drove.
"On the Internet? Will there be any news on it? Even if there is, isn't it already public?" Kayla asked doubtfully.
"You don't understand this. The Internet is the fastest channel for information to spread, and there is no threshold. Anyone can send ssages there. I just ca to this city. Without connections, there is no way to get information. So how can I get the latest news the fastest? How can I unearth the most attractive news?" Wesley asked with a smile.
"Oh, so you learned about the city on the Internet and found what you needed inside," Kayla said.
"Not bad. This is what I can do now. Find the subject matter I need among countless clues."
With Kayla giving directions, Wesley drove to the supermarket and began to buy ingredients for the night. But Wesley kept feeling that soone was watching them. This was real-life tracking, but the distance was great and the feeling of being watched was faint.
Sun Ming said to Apple in his mind, "This must be the person following Kayla, and it's so far away and doesn't et the requirents of tracking. They might lose her at any ti, which ans they're not afraid of losing her. It must be a guy who has known Kayla's schedule for a long ti. It should be the person from the supernatural action departnt."
"Not bad. Do you need to implant Elizabeth's program into the network? That way, we can use the surveillance to track it back." Apple asked.
"Not for the ti being. They are not a threat to us. The main thing now is my first news. The news needs to be real. It's better for to investigate it myself. I'll go back tonight and organize the information, and then we'll act directly tomorrow." Wesley continued to buy things with Kyle without batting an eyelid. Both of them were big eaters and bought a lot.
They each carried two brown paper bags back to the car. The feeling of being watched was still there, but Wesley didn't care. He started the car and went ho. After dinner, the two of them sat on the sofa in Wesley's house. Kayla watched Wesley paint and design the interior of her ho. It didn't have to be used, but it was good for the evening.
Kayla sat cross-legged next to Wesley and watched intently as the paintbrush in his hand swung and then sketched different pictures. The two of them were directly close to each other and could sll each other, but there was no ambiguity in the atmosphere. They were still discussing enthusiastically, a little like old friends. It was a very strange scene.
The next morning, after they had breakfast, Wesley drove straight to the Cark Corporation. Wesley didn't need to clock in. His working hours as a reporter were not fixed. Then he began to wander around the city.
He definitely couldn't go straight out of the city to explore now. He needed to connect the clues and slowly lead them out, and the first goal was a piece of news on the Internet. A few days ago, a money truck was robbed, and the witness was a holess man. He claid that he saw a guy with horns on his head rob the money truck, but everyone was treated as a holess man's rumor.
On the other hand, Wesley's target was him. He found the person who wrote the news on the Internet. Wesley talked to him for a long ti, and it was all about aliens. The other party obviously liked the subject of aliens, and people had different hobbies. Wesley communicated with him in the comnts section where he posted the news based on his hobby, and finally got the holess man's address.
Of course, the holess man did not have a ho address. He lived under an overpass. This place was far from the crowd and was very suitable for holess people to live in. They could collect hard packaging materials and build a small nest here. This was where the holess people lived.
Wesley drove here and found the guy easily. He was telling his friends about seeing aliens, and he looked very pleased with himself. They no longer had any ambition in life. The only problem was surviving.
Wesley stood to one side and listened as he observed the man's eyes. Although he was very pleased with himself, fear appeared in his eyes. Wesley was sure that what this guy said was true, although everyone was just listening as a story.
When he was finished, the crowd dispersed. They still needed to find food for the day. It was one thing to hear the story, but it could not be eaten. Wesley walked up to him. "I'm interested in your story. Can you tell it in detail?" Wesley asked directly.
"Hehe, I can't believe soone like you wears a suit to listen to my story. But I'm sorry, now I have to find sothing to eat." The holess man got up and was about to leave. Wesley was not angry. Instead, he took out a ten-dollar bill and waved it in front of him. "It's enough for two good als."
"Haha, this is affordable. Co on, I'll tell you again." He put away the ten dollars and was ready to start.
"No, no, I don't want to hear the story. I want to hear the truest situation at the ti. If you tell the truth, I can give you another ten dollars." Wesley took out another ten dollars.
Gulp. The holess man swallowed and then nodded with a look of reminiscence. Then he slowly began to tell the story. Wesley listened carefully. He didn't need to record it in paper money. Then he analyzed what was useful in it. At the end of the incident, he finally discovered sothing. A group of fully ard guys had appeared at the scene of the robbery. Although they were wearing police equipnt, they were not police officers. They were not police officers in either their actions or their conduct.
The holess man was not far away. The police asked him for a statent, two tis in total. After the first ti, he ignored them. The second ti, the man asked for details. Wesley nodded. He had what he wanted.
