Chapter 609 - Undead Assassins
A couple of hours ago,
In the assassin sect's eting hall,
"Sect leader Gerg, the communication with the headquarters is back again," the servant who had entered the eting hall, hurriedly inford the sect leader and others in the eting hall.
"What?"
Along with the sect leader, the rest of the elders were shocked and at the sa ti pleasantly surprised at such great news.
"Yes, sect leader Gerg,"
When everyone in the eting hall was excited, they unconsciously released so of their cultivation aura that suppressed the servant who only had the commander realm cultivation, hard to breathe which made him almost die due to suffocation.

One of the five old n standing on the long table noticed that the servant was unable to bear the pressure. So, he ordered everyone in a low yet powerful voice.
Hearing that, everyone cald down and retracted their cultivation pressure back into their bodies.

Finally, the servant heaved a sigh of relief while gasping for air.
Everyone waited for that servant to beco normal and once he was able to breathe normally again, the sect leader Gerg asked, "Now tell
everything related to the communication with the headquarters."
"The headquarters sent an urgent mission for our sect to complete. As long as we complete this mission, the communication with the headquarters will be permanent," the servant excitedly answered the sect leader Gerg because it was great news for their sect.
"Good...good...good. Heavens didn't abandon our assassin sect,"
The sect leader Gerg and the five old n were excited and waited for the servant to finish his words.
"As for the mission, it is to kill soone from our province,"
The servant didn't waste any more ti and was directly inford about the mission.
"What? We just have to kill soone?"
"Who is he? Is he soone from the royal family or any of the top powers of Zrochester province?"
"Even if he belongs to the royal family, we have to finish the mission from the headquarters,"

Soon, the five old n started expressing their views on the headquarters' new mission.
"His na is Ajax, 15 years old and a mber of the Hazegroove rcenary squad. These are the only details they have sent to us, sect leader Gerg,"
While saying that, the servant took out a beast parchnt and gave it to the sect leader Gerg.
"Who is he?"
The sect leader and the five old n raised their brows because they didn't have a single clue about Ajax because they only ca out of their seclusion a couple of days ago.
"Why does the headquarters wants to kill a 15-year-old kid?"
Moreover, with Ajax's age, what he had done that made him the target of the headquarters.
"I know about him,"
While the sect leader Gerg and the five old n were thinking about the reason behind the mission, the second elder spoke in a low voice.
"Huh? What do you know about him, second elder?"
The sect leader Gerg raised his brows as he asked the second elder.
The second elder looked at the cold corpse of the first elder on the floor and explained, "Previously, the headquarters had given us two missions with good rewards. In one of the missions, we have to kill this Ajax because the headquarters thinks he was the child that escaped the massacre from the Silver Orphanage."
"Huh? What happened? Why did they send the sa mission once again? Did you not finish the mission last ti?"
Soon, the sect leader asked many questions in reply to the second elder's words.
"Every elder has sent their top batch of the disciples except for the third elder; however, not a single one of them had returned and all their spirit jades in the sect got destroyed," The second elder looked at the third elder as he replied to the sect leader's questions with a sad look on his face.
"Huh? While I was in seclusion, many things had happened that put our sect in the current predicant," The sect leader looked at the third elder before looking at the rest of the elders with a disappointed look on his face and he continued, "Then, why didn't you inform
about it?"
"We wanted to inform you but with the demon's invasion, you ordered us to remain in the sect and later the first elder planned to overthrow you from the sect leader seat," the second elder replied with an embarrassed look on his face.
"Sigh...maybe, the headquarters is giving us a chance to prove ourselves. So, let's finish the mission at any cost," Hearing all the explanations from the second elder, the sect leader Gerg sighed as he seriously said to everyone present in the eting hall.
"Yes, sect leader Gerg. Let's prove ourselves to the headquarters,"
All the elders except for the second and third elder shouted out loud in unison.
As for why both the second elder and third elder didn't shout along with the other elders because they thought the reason for the mission was sothing else.
'Maybe, is it because of Cortez?' The second elder silently thought in his head; however, he didn't say it out loud even though he was almost sure about it.
'Headquarters is not the type to give second chances to others,' As for the third elder, he studied the headquarters for many years now and he was absolutely sure that there was so other reason for this mission.
"Okay then. Guardian, I want to wake up the undead assassins with your help to complete this mission. What do you say?" Soon, the sect leader Gerg told the five old n about his plan.
"You want to silently finish this mission without alerting the rcenary guild? Fine. You have our full support," The old n threw five black colour tokens at the sect leader Gerg before saying, "Be careful when you summon them and complete the mission at any cost," As soon as they finished their words, the five old n disappeared from the long table.
