When Ayanna and Ray arrived ho, Ray helped his wife out of the car and held her tightly as they stood outside of their ho.

"Why are you so sweet today?" Ayanna asked as she kissed Ray on the lips. "Did you do sothing wrong?"

"No, of course not. I'm the perfect husband, I can do no wrong." He boasted.

"You're just lucky you're friends with Miguel and Alexi, those two screw up way too much." Ayanna teased as she pushed him away and walked into their ho.

Ray quickly ran after her and carried her bridal style, making Ayanna scream in surprise as he lifted her.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and held on tight, afraid that she might fall.

"I just want to be the most supportive husband tonight." Ray said as he kissed her on the head and carried her inside. "I know you're dealing with a lot of stress right now and I just want to do sothing, anything to help."

"Ray, this isn't the first ti my brother has thrown a curveball for to handle." Ayanna said with a sweet smile as she looked her charming husband in the eyes.

"Have I ever told you how beautiful your eyes are, Mrs. Laurence?" Ray asked as he looked into her deep dark eyes. "It's captivating."

"Ray!" Ayanna said as she blushed like a teenager. "You don't need to woo anymore, we're already married, rember?"

"Why can't I praise my amazing wife?" He asked as he gently placed her down on the ground.

"Thank you." Ayanna said as she placed her hand on his cheek and smiled at him.

"Why don't you, run us a bath upstairs and I will wash all your stress and worries away." Ray said with a wink as he held her hand and led her to the stairs.

"And what will you be doing?" Ayanna asked as she took a step up to the second floor of their ho.

"Preparing so tea and so snacks for my gorgeous wife." Ray said with a grin. "I need to pamper my wife."

Ayanna smiled and blew him a kiss.

"I can't take too long though, I need to make sure everything is ready for tonight's eting and dad is coming over." She told Ray as she slowly made her way up the stairs.

"Don't worry about your dad or the preparations, I'm on it. Just relax." Ray said as he sent her upstairs to their bedroom.

As soon as Ayanna was out of sight, Ray quickly went to work speaking to their housekeeper as he asked the maids to prepare his wife's tea and cookies.

He also checked her ho office to make sure that she and Emilio Reyes could have a conductive discussion. He knew his wife wasn't the neatest person, so he wanted to double check that everything was in order.

As soon as he had handled everything downstairs, he carried the tray with her tea and snacks up to their room.

Ray was not surprised to find his wife sleeping peacefully in the tub, with her head resting on a pillow so that she wouldn't slip in.

"Hey, darling." Ray called out as he gently shook Ayanna awake.

"Oh, did I fall asleep?" Ayanna asked as she slowly opened her eyes.

"Yes. You seem exhausted." Ray said with a frown. "Maybe Cedric should handle this issue." Ray was worried about Ayanna, she had been working so hard in the past months, helping the company grow beyond expectations.

"It's fine, Ray." Ayanna said, shaking her head. "I just needed a quick power nap, I already feel energized and ready for tonight's eting."

"Alright, if you say so." Ray said with a frown as he walked over to hand her a cup of tea.

Ayanna smiled as she sipped the warm liquid and let it course through her body, relaxing her even more.

"That's one of my family's traditional teas." Ray said proudly. "It should relax you a little bit."

"I feel it working, thank you my love." Ayanna said as she smiled at her husband.

Ray leaned forward and gently captured her lips in his, savoring every mont.

When they eventually broke off their kiss Ray excused himself to go change. He went from his suit and tie to a more casual look.

Normally he chose not to interfere with Ayanna's work at the Reyes Group, it was not in his place to ddle in another company's affairs. Especially one as powerful and influential as the Reyes Group.

But today Ayanna seed way too exhausted, he needed to say sothing to his best friend and brother-in-law, who was also his wife's boss. If Cedric didn't listen to him then he would need to tell his father-in-law.

Ray was just very worried about his wife's health, especially since he would be flying out to join Cedric the next day.

When he finished dressing up he peeked into the bathroom to find his wife still in the tub.

"Ayanna, I need to deal with sothing from work, I'll be in my office if you need ." Ray called out.

"Okay, I'll be out in a bit and do so final checks. Dad should arrive in a while." Ayanna told Ray as she kept her back turned on him.

Ray quickly made his way to his office and gave Cedric a call.

"Ray? What's up?" Cedric asked.

"Isn't there a way for you to give my wife less work?" Ray complained.

"I know you are trying for a baby and stress makes it hard to conceive, trust , I've tried lessening my sister's workload but she won't listen." Cedric groaned.

"Then what about your scandal today? Does she really have to handle it?" Ray asked.

"She doesn't have to, but she insisted." Cedric told his friend.

"So that's it, there is no way for to get my wife to rest and relax?" Ray whined.

"Ray, we both know this is my sister's decision. There is nothing I can do." Cedric said with a sigh. "Plus taking work from her will look bad, it will seem as if I am kicking her out of the company, and trust that's the last thing I want to do."

"Fine, fine, I'll try talking to her then. See you tomorrow." Ray said as he dropped the call, not even waiting for Cedric to respond.

Ray was probably one of the very few people who could do that to the powerful Cedric Reyes.
