"Wow, Nicole has an even busier schedule than !" Cedric said as he scrolled through Nicole's schedule on the day of Tristan's birth. The only free ti in her calendar was for lunch, and at this point Nicole was already eight months pregnant with Tristan.
"Mom scolded her quite often because of that." Miguel said with a laugh. "She even helped on operations. I couldn't send her away because she was the best, but whenever mom found her too close to the operating room she would send Nicole back to her office."
"Let's see." Cedric said as he took a closer look at the schedule. "So, 3 pm to 5 pm board eting, 5 pm to 5:30 pm, Dr. Santos OBGYN, 5:30 pm to 6 pm, Head Nurse Belinda, 6:30 pm Dr. Ashe. Wait, what ti did her water break?" Cedirc asked as he looked at Ian.
"Around 6:45 pm." Ian told Cedric.
"So the last person to speak to Nicole was Dr. Ashe?" Miguel asked with a puzzled look.
"Why, what's with Dr. Ashe?" Cedric asked, intrigued by Miguel's expression.
"Well, because, errrr. . ." Miguel couldn't seem to blurt out what he wanted to say. Even Ian was eying him suspiciously now.
"Spill." Cedric said with a serious look.
"Fu*k, Nicole will kill ." Miguel cursed under his breath. "You have to swear never to tell Nicole that you know about Dr. Ashe." Miguel said with a worried look on his face.
"Yes we promise." Ian said with a frustrated tone, he didn't like Miguel beating around the bush on this.
"No you most specially have to promise. We all know you can't keep a secret from my sister." Miguel said as he glared at Ian. "At least if you slip you won't say you found it out from , or else I swear I won't help you get the family elder's approval when the ti cos." Miguel threatened Ian.
"First of all, I won't slip. I won't let Nicole find out about whatever you're about to tell , secondly, your family already agreed to our marriage, it's Nicole that keeps refusing, or have you forgotten?" Ian asked as he leaned back on his seat.
"Ok, the two of you have to seriously calm down, as much as this fight amuses we have more pressing matters at hand." Cedric told the duo. "Miguel just tell us who Dr. Ashe is."
"Fine. If you slip Ian do not tell that I did not warn you." Miguel said, rolling his eyes. "Dr. Daniel Ashe and my sister dated and for over three years." Miguel told Ian and Cedric as he watched Ian's expression change.
"No wonder you didn't want to say who he was." Cedric said as he laughed. "Three years, wow, that's long."
"I swear, Saints Hospital needs so sort of professionalism clause!" Ian said angrily.
"What? Did you think my sister didn't date before she t you?" Miguel asked.
"Of course I knew she dated!" Ian said angrily, he didn't know why but he was feeling quite jealous for no reason. "I t her drunk at a bar, rember? Drunk and flirting with so nasty guy!"
"What the fu*k?!" Cedric and Miguel asked as they started at Ian in shock.
"Ugh, language." Cedric scolded Miguel and in a way himself, he forgot that Emilio was in the room with them. The little boy was now looking up at his father and uncle.
"I'm sorry little one." Cedric said as he walked up to his son.
"Daddy what does fu*k an?" Emilio asked with a curious look in his eyes.
Cedric began to panic, he knew that if his wife of mother heard Emilio cursing they would be furious with him.
"Emilio, it's a bad word. It's a word only adults can say. Soday I will tell you what it ans, but you will need to be old enough." Cedric told his son.
"Okay, I will just search for it on the internet." Emilio said with a proud smile making Miguel and Ian burst out laughing.
"No, no, no. Don't do that Emilio." Cedric said in a panic. "And the two of you! Don't laugh, mom and Adrianna will hear that it was because of you I ended up cussing in front of my son." Cedric threatened his friends.
"Emilio, if you keep insisting on finding out what that word ans I won't let you play with Tristan for a month." Cedric threatened.
"It's okay dad, I lived two years without knowing Tristan. One month isn't too long." Emilio countered with an innocent look.
"Okay Emilio, I will tell you what it ans later, but you have to promise not to tell anyone else. Alright?" Cedric said, finally giving in to his son. Who knew a little kid could corner the CEO of the Reyes Group.
"Okay dad." Emilio said as he returned his focus back to his toys.
"Why did my son have to be too smart?" Cedric complained as he sat back down. "I miss the days when he could only say dada or mama."
"Well uncle Emilio has been teaching him how to negotiate since he was two, it doesn't surprise that he managed to completely blindside you on that one." Miguel said with a laugh.
"Anyway, Ian, continue." Cedric said as he looked at his forr assistant.
"Wait, she never told either of you?" Ian asked as he quickly regretted what he had just said. "That's a story for another ti, can we please focus on Dr. Ashe and what happened?"
"As much as I want to grill you on that story, you're right." Miguel said with a sigh. "If Dr. Ashe was her last eting of the day, then it's entirely possible that whatever he told her made her go into labor."
"Are there any issues between them? Anything from the past that remained unsettled?" Cedric asked, he felt that among the three of them he would be the most level headed. Ian was too fixated on the fact that Dr. Ashe was Nicole's ex, while Miguel was busy thinking of a way to remain innocent of the ss he created.
"Hah! Yeah. Nicole stopped dating Dr. Ashe because she t a handso young assistant at your office." Miguel said with a laugh, shocking Ian and Cedric.
