[State your na and Identity Code,] commanded the robotic voice, its source a purple crystal with futuristic patterns. It was directly seated on a tal table that was supplying it with power.

"Zel Zol (05723A) , the current Mission Leader on Terra," she responded, using the old na for Earth.

After constructing multiple portals in Asia, she could now reach out to her ho planet.

However, this was the limit of her progress for the mont, as the energy required to activate the portals was huge, so opening it would need a lot of ti and resources.

Contacting their ho planet was sothing she wanted to avoid if possible because it would signify their failure in their mission.

Their purpose was to prevent humanity from advancing too far while also ensuring it wasn't completely destroyed.

The reason for this was because terrifying beings called the Architect were imprisoned within Tera.

They had been sealed there with the help of Adam and Eve, the ancestors of humans, who sacrificed their lives to contain these energy beings.

The Architect were also the creators of her race, in fact, possibly all races that existed in the universe.

However, when her race amassed enough power, they turned against their creators.

Realizing they could not defeat these godlike beings, they fled and sought refuge on another planet.

They remained hidden and began to develop so they could exact revenge on their creators. They believed they were the superior race because they were the closest to them in terms of powers.

When they returned, they collaborated with Adam and Eve, beings created by another alien race, to transform Earth into a permanent prison for the Architects , as they were virtually unkillable, and could even control space and ti.

The only weakness these beings had was their tendency to stick together. For so reason, they could not exist when they were not near each other.

So imprisoning them was the best option.

But there was a catch.

In order to maintain a prison that could stop such overpowered beings, the Zol Clan needed to kill billions of humans to take their vitality away and offer it as a kind of fuel.

The humans possessed DNA from Adam and Eve, and while they did not inherit their complete power, within them was a type of energy that would be automatically be absorbed by the moon after death.

It was the only way they could sustain it. This was why her clan always let so humans survive so they could repopulate the planet again. Rinse and repeat.

Of course, only she and so of the first generation knew this.

Most of the Zol Clan mbers in the present believed they were killing humans because they were inferior beings, and it was fun to massacre them .

In exchange for undertaking this mission, the Zol Clan would be granted authority over this domain. At the sa ti, their race could finally conquer the whole universe without worrying about being destroyed by transcendent existence.

It was supposed to be an easy mission because even though so humans awakened powers due to their relation to Adam and Eve, they were not enough to threaten the balance of power.

However, everything went downhill.

The previous clan leader had failed, and humanity had progressed to a point where she no longer felt confident in her clan ability to eliminate them.

Just the number of powerful gifteds alone was enough to make her doubt her chances. She might be arrogant, but she was not foolish enough to overlook the slim probability of winning.

She waited for a response from the other side, knowing that if reinforcents were sent, then eliminating all those powerful families would be a piece of cake.

Regardless of what preparations they made, they wouldn't stand a chance against an Ancient Civilization.

[ Zel Zol (05723A), Information and Identity verified. This is ZENO model number (15343556). How may I assist you?]

"I want to request backup. Our mission on TERA has been compromised, and we no longer have enough manpower to carry it out," Zely replied in a firm and concise manner.

There was no need to sugarcoat their current situation. It would be better to be direct.

[Negative]

"Why?" she exclaid in shock. She knew they had made a blunder, but why weren't they sending backup?

TERA should be a top priority, as it literally houses their creators, the most powerful beings in the Universe.

If they were to escape, they could destroy the whole universe in a fit of anger for being locked away for too long.

[Ho Planet is already destroyed. Zeno is the only remaining AI unit,]

'I— Impossible,' Zely uttered, almost breaking into a cold sweat after hearing this.

How could their powerful race end up being destroyed?

It might have been hundreds of thousands of years since she last contacted her ho planet, but due to ti dilation, for her ho planet, it should have only been a few thousand years, which was very negligible for an advanced civilization.

(Ti dilation is a phenonon in which ti appears to pass differently for observers who are moving relative to each other or are in different gravitational fields. In this context, while many years may have passed for Earth, only a relatively short ti would have passed for their ho planet due to the effects of ti dilation.)

"Did we get attacked by other advanced civilizations?" she asked.

[Ho planet is destroyed by another unknown race]

"Any news on the other planets?" she asked again. Her race controlled nurous worlds, so even if their Ho planet was destroyed, she could still reach out to the others.

"So you're telling that everyone is dead except for us?" she gasped, her voice trembling with disbelief as the weight of the revelation settled on her.

[Affirmative]

[ TERA is a special planet , so it was not detected by the enemy race]
