BOOOOOM!
A thunderous explosion echoed as my fist hit a super hard material , this ti I Incorporated Martial Art in my technique so the efficiency of my power had enhance my punching power.
But even my fist, which was powerful enough to level a mountain, could not penetrate the giant white centipede impenetrable external armor.
Most of the damage I inflicted seed to be absorbed by its tough exoskeleton.
Examining the giant centipede, I estimated its length to be around 40 ters.
Its scale resembled that of a centipede's shell, hard and impenetrable. The creature's head was grotesque, with powerful pincers that emitted shockwaves with each bite, creating a ripple effect in the air.
It thrashed wildly, its segnted body lashing out in all directions as it tried to dislodge from it's back..
'F***, when did I get transferred to a fucking Xuanhuan novel?'I cursed aloud, feeling completely out of my elent. I was accustod to dealing with humanoid enemies, not this goddamn giant monster.
To make matters worse, my Mind Power was not regenerating as it used to be since arriving in this godforsaken place.
All I could see was endless white sands, and the perpetual darkness was only illuminated by the eerie glow of the red moon.
"Stay still, you goddamn insect!" I shouted irritably, my frustration growing as I continued to rain blows on it's scale.
With each strike, I concentrated on a specific area, determined to weaken its defenses. Gradually, I began to see the muscles beneath its thick exoskeleton.
Seizing the opportunity, I positioned myself beside the exposed muscles, bracing for what was to co.
Then, I plunged my hand into the muscles, focusing my elental ability to create a powerful combustion.
The air crackled with heat as the flas erupted, igniting a chain reaction of destruction within the creature's body.
The Giant Centipede writhed and convulsed in agony, its monstrous body contorting in a desperate attempt to extinguish the inferno consuming it.
But, despite its struggles, the flas continued to spread, engulfing the creature until it finally succumbed.
THUD!
I landed on the soft sand with a heavy sigh, feeling the weight of exhaustion settling in my bones.
As I glanced around at the desolate landscape, I couldn't help but reflect on the grim reality of my situation.
This encounter marked the 50th Giant centipede I had killed since arriving in this barren wasteland.
Each of the centipede had enough strength to decimate a city. If even one of them made it to Earth, there'd be no stopping them from destroying a whole area.
Dealing with this giant centipedes was relatively straightforward for , but the real challenge was in the rapid depletion of my Mind Power with each encounter.
That's why I refrained from using most of my abilities.
Additionally, the gravity in this place was 20 tis heavier than that of Earth, making every movent a laborious effort.
No ordinary powerhouse could survive in this place; only soone as overpowered as myself stood a chance.
"Status," I muttered under my breath, hoping for a familiar window to appear, but once again, my system was nowhere to be found.
While I could still access so of my skills, the absence of the system window was disconcerting.
In addition, I also found myself unable to used the power granted by the girls, and the space around seed to be locked, rendering teleportation impossible.
I sat down and surveyed the endless dunes of sand, my gaze also falling upon the carcasses of all the monsters I had killed.
They may have been ugly monsters, but surprisingly, their at tasted good. I had been surviving on their flesh, and as for water, I relied on my other abilities to control the weather and summon rain when needed.
It was then that I realized how much I missed the lush forests and bustling cities of Earth.
The taste of sushi and the laughter of my girls echoed in my mind like a distant mory.
Find adventures on empire
In this perpetual night, there was no distinction between day and night. However, relying on my acute senses, I estimated that it had been approximately 60 days since my arrival in this place.
I just hoped ti passed faster here than on Earth, or it would be too late for to return ho.
Before I left, Earth was on the brink of war. I wasn't worried about other humans, but if soone attacked my building, my girls would be in danger.
If that happened, I'd likely lose my mind and go on a rampage, killing everyone responsible .
Would I kill everyone just because my girls died? The answer to that was a big yes.
'I have to find a way back,' I took a deep breath and forced myself to focus on the task at hand.
With renewed determination, I stood up, brushed off the sand from my clothes, and prepared to confront the next monster that would rear its ugly head from the sands.
'This place is really lonely, ' As I scanned the horizon, I spotted a particularly large mound in the distance.
The telltale signs of a giant centipede's lair were unmistakable.
'Maybe I need to kill every centipede here?' With a sigh, I began to march towards it, my heart heavy with the knowledge that another battle awaited . It wasn't out of fear, but rather sheer boredom of fighting them and holding back.
However, for the sake of everyone back ho, I knew I couldn't stop moving forward.
The air grew colder and more oppressive as I neared the lair, and I could sense the centipede's presence long before it finally revealed itself, erging from the ground like a nightmare made flesh.
The earth trembled beneath its massive body as it slithered forward, its fanged maw opening and closing nacingly. With each breath, a putrid stench filled the air.
"A golden centipede?" A grin spread across my face.
Finally, I had encountered the boss of this place.
