"We can just move the table here," Fred replied, and it was almost too easy to read the guy.
"Move our table? Oh, that would be too troubleso, we wouldn't want to burden the hardworking staff. Why don't we just offer our table to your other esteed guests? After all, I'm such a model of politeness and courtesy," I chuckled, gesturing towards the table at the far back.
Fred was utterly speechless in the face of my shalessness, but what could he do other than to go along with the flow?
"You can thank later for my good intention," I whispered to him
I'm not foolish enough to play the humble cliche protagonist, only to wait for the perfect mont to be insulted by others and stage a triumphant coback. I an, let's be honest, I'm just too rich and handso for anyone to even think about trying that.
So, instead, I've decided to make this party a source of entertainnt, at their expense, of course. Sure, it might make look a bit of an asshole, but who cares? I've done far more questionable things, and holding back on being a jerk just seems like a waste of my talents.
"I think the staffs wont mind ," Fred scratch his head.
"Alright, well, you did pay for this place," I replied nonchalantly, gesturing for Ayumi to follow.
Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Misa seething with anger. If I were just an ordinary person, they might have already called the guards or thrown out of the party.
But I'd made it clear that I had connections, announcing my relationship with the hotel's owner, and even having a staff mber refer to as "young master." They were left with no option but to swallow their pride and kiss my ass.
anwhile, the trio was still behaving sowhat awkwardly, too self conscious that all eyes were on us. But that didn't bother in the slightest.
"I had no idea you were this wealthy, Mr. Zyn," Lizzy asked, breaking the tension in our table. I half-expected her to bring up my wealth; it seed like this girl had an uncanny attraction to money, for whatever reason.
I don't really pass judgnt on materialistic won. I an, let's be honest, most people do have a soft spot for money, whether they admit it or not. They say money can't buy happiness, but it's still more comfortable to shed tears in a million-dollar mansion than on the street
Even Misa, the social climber birthday girl, didn't really bother . I an, it's not like I cared whether she wanted to flaunt her stuff or not. Such behaviors are pretty much the norm these days, all thanks to the influence of social dia.
People showcasing their latest gadgets and luxurious lifestyles can sotis warp the minds of young won, making them believe they're falling short if they don't own certain products or lead a particular lifestyle for everyone to see. It's essentially a form of consurism that feeds people the idea that they should always crave more, often beyond their ans.
And , I'm not entirely exempt from this consurist mindset either. I have a powerful system at my disposal, and I co from a wealthy family, so I can indulge my impulses.
So the reason I want to put Misa in her place was quite simple: I'm bored. So, why not have so fun and ss with everyone who's caused Ayumi any grief?
I'm not a good guy on the first place who spouts off about doing things to protect my loved one because it's the right thing to do. Sure, I care about Ayumi, but she's like 30% of the reason behind my plan to ssed with everyone. The other 70% is pure narcissism and borderline psychotic tendencies.
Returning to the discussion, I took a leisurely sip of water before responding to her question.
"I'm the son of a hotel mogul " I replied, blatantly lying through my teeth.
Thanks to my charisma, it didn't take long for Lizzy to beco utterly stars truck. I swear I could almost see dollar signs in her eyes.
"That's intriguing. So, why did you beco a substitute teacher?" Ria inquired, her curiosity clearly piqued this ti.
"Oh, I was just killing ti," I chuckled, offering a casual response.
"You can never quite grasp the complexities of the minds of the wealthy," Lizzy sighed in a joking tone. "If only I had known you were this loaded, I might have thought twice about setting you up with Ayumi."
"Seonsaeng-nim is mine!" Ayumi exclaid, quickly seizing my shoulder, as if worried soone might try to steal away.
Lizzy and Ria exchanged a knowing glance, recognizing that their dear friend was head over heels in love and couldn't even handle a light-hearted joke.
anwhile, Ayumi continued to cling to , holding tight, and I didn't mind it at all. It was precisely what made her so refreshing in my eyes. Her adorably normal behavior made feel like a normal person.
"Don't worry, no one could steal away from you," I teased her with a smile.
She didn't respond and just turned her head down shyly. It appeared that she wasn't quite used to public displays of affection just yet.
"Here is your food, sir ,"
Finally, the food graced our table, and it was evident they hadn't skimped on the dishes as they presented the dishes.
In fact, we seed to have a more food compared to the other tables. Fred was more sensible than I gave her credits for.
However, his girlfriend continued to direct daggers at Ayumi with her gaze. Won could be quite hard to handle most of the ti. Unlike n, who often choose their battles wisely, so won believe that their biology granted them superpowers to act though, even when the odds weren't in their favor.
I could sense sothing brewing in her eyes, and I couldn't help but anticipate what she might have in store.
'I hope your plans are entertaining enough to amuse ,' I chuckled to myself, picturing Misa's likely irritated expression.
Honestly, she didn't look too shabby at all; in fact, she was quite passable. She even outshone Lizzy in terms of attractiveness, with only Ayumi truly overshadowing her in terms of the lons and cuteness departnt .
"Our special guest has arrived!" the host announced.
