Because, the figure that erged was a living corpse in a navy uniform, the right arm fitted with a tal prosthetic!

After looking at the living corpse for a few seconds, Li Yelai nodded slightly, “You have always guarded the warship, guarded your human companions. Of course, you are my comrade.”

And Zhao Gang’s body had been completely transford into a living corpse. Theoretically, his brain should have decayed, turning him into an unconscious monster, not one retaining this kind of consciousness.
Zhao Gang offered no explanation, he, too, could not explain everything.

Li Yelai asked, “Are you the only one left?”

He was the sole Tomb Guardian, as the acting captain, he wouldn’t leave his warship. He would guard it here forever.
