296: Chapter 139: Ranger, Charge!

296: Chapter 139: Ranger, Charge!

As a Spiritual Ability User connected to the Void Realm, if one exhibited so bizarre actions, it often indicated that they had approached being warped, or had even beco warped.

Previously, when Shadow Stream passed by Ben Lei’s ward, he claid to have heard voices of people like Flying Hero and others inside the room, laughing and chatting joyously with Ben Lei.

This caused Li Yelai to break out in a cold sweat.

Shadow Stream might not have had contact with Flying Hero and was not familiar with that code na, but Li Yelai had worked with him once.

He was a mber of the Ranger squad.

But Li Yelai also knew that aside from the squad leader Ben Lei, the other mbers of the Ranger squad had unfortunately perished in battle.

In the subsequent search and rescue, only the Spiritual Ability Equipnt of one mber and undigested remains were found.

How could the heroes who had died return here and continue chatting cheerfully with Ben Lei?

Whose voices exactly had Shadow Stream heard?

Had Shadow Stream misheard, or…

was there really sothing mimicking the voices of those heroes?

Li Yelai beca alert and imdiately contacted the branch, requesting the evacuation of everyone in the hospital.

At the sa ti, Li Yelai picked up the Big Black Umbrella beside him with one hand.

Heavy Knight also turned serious, pulling out two large hamrs the size of bowl mouths from behind.

She realized from Li Yelai’s reaction that sothing was happening and imdiately entered a combat state.

Starfire, surprised by their actions, also imdiately got up from the sickbed.

“What do you an?

Is there a problem with the code na Flying Hero?” Starfire quickly asked.

“He’s a Processor from the Ranger squad, but other than the squad leader Ben Lei, everyone else has sacrificed their lives.” Li Yelai responded softly.

This caused everyone present to change their expressions.

Everyone was sacrificed?

Then whose voices had Shadow Stream heard?

“Don’t make a fuss, evacuate slowly.

Any anomaly could provoke the opponent and worsen the situation.” Li Yelai quickly said, “Keep everyone quiet and evacuate!”

The next second, Li Yelai’s Communicator rang.

It was the communicator from the East City Branch.

[Night General, please don’t act rashly; the hospital is organizing an evacuation.]

“Understood.” Li Yelai looked at the door, where so dical staff were leading patients out of the room.

Seemingly normal, but the expressions on the dical staff’s faces were all serious.

They lowered their voices as much as possible, efficiently and orderly escorting the patients out of the ward.

Clearly, they had received official instructions.

They were indeed dical staff from the Processing Departnt.

“So what should I do?” Li Yelai inquired.

[Currently, there are three Third Awakening and one Four Awakenings Processors in the hospital who can fight.

Please join these Processors near room 420, and if there’s any anomaly…

please try to suppress and delay as much as possible, the lting Furnace Captain and a squad of Processors are en route to the hospital.]

The lting Furnace was the captain of the third team and also Ben Lei’s captain.

“I understand,” replied Li Yelai, then with so anticipation he added, “Is a reversal possible?”

The governnt is now controlled by the Spirit Extinguishers; if nun Sister Superior could make a move, could she reverse Ben Lei’s distortion and loss of control?

The other end didn’t respond imdiately, only a few seconds later did they say, [I’m not sure…]

Li Yelai felt a pang in his heart, then turned to Starfire, “You should evacuate too.”

Starfire jumped off the bed and picked up his Fire Gloves from the bedside, “I am also close to achieving the Third Awakening, I can help too!”

At this mont, he too realized that Ben Lei was very likely nearing distortion, or had already distorted.

This reminded him of his good friend, Ma Da, who after losing control, was sent to his burial by him.

If possible, he too wanted to help everyone.

“You’re not facing a Wild Spirit Ability User or an instinct-driven Extraordinary Creature, but a battle-hardened senior who understands our combat style,” Li Yelai shook his head, “Among those at the Four Awakenings, he’s top-notch.”

“Very dangerous, you can’t keep up,” Heavy Knight said succinctly, “I’ll go.”

If it truly was the worst case, the battle would be extrely fierce.

Although Li Yelai had indeed killed War Worms and Hunting Insects, types of Insect Race units equivalent to Four Awakenings Spirit Users, he had never personally clashed with a Four Awakenings Spirit User, especially not a veteran Processor.

He couldn’t be sure of the outco himself.

With Starfire’s strength, he would likely be targeted and broken through.

If it ca to that point…

Li Yelai didn’t want to sacrifice more friends.

Then, Li Yelai and Heavy Knight imdiately pushed through the door.

They quickly reached the fourth floor, but imdiately slowed their pace.

They walked into the fourth floor as if taking a stroll.

The evacuation work on the fourth floor was still ongoing, with so patients being wheeled out of the wards by dical staff.

The three Processors had already arrived at the scene, one of whom was still wearing bandages from an unhealed injury.

It was Huang Tu, a Divine Domain Path Spirit User who had once rescued Li Yelai; she had been recovering in this hospital ever since her injury.

The Processors nodded slightly in greeting when they saw Li Yelai and Heavy Knight.

Huang Tu also waved in greeting.

Li Yelai nodded back, then he and Heavy Knight sat down on the seats in the hallway next to room 420.

The group fell silent, sitting in their respective seats, quietly watching as the rooms on the fourth floor were gradually being emptied.

anwhile, from inside room 420, different voices erged.

There were young n, won, and middle-aged people.

They spoke amiably, their voices filled with laughter, they were close comrades-in-arms, seemingly never parted.

Ben Lei was very happy, chatting and joking with everyone.

He teased ‘Flying Hero’ about his dating troubles, suggesting he should find soone suitable within the Processing Departnt.

He joked about another teammate, ‘Copper Elephant,’ and how he had beco fussier after becoming a father.
