Nero and the rest looked at various clubs, from archery to the beast tars club.
It was no secret that the Beast Tars Club was unpopular. In fact, when Nero arrived at the front of the tars' room, it was easy for her to tell the difference.
I wouldn't call it a run down joint as that would affect the school's reputation, however, it was several tis smaller than the other classrooms.
It was just hard to imagine that it was a whole club room.

She thought being in sothing like that diminished Nero's competence. She was excellent in every way for her, no matter where she went it should be the best. However, seeing that Nero wanted to join the tars' club, made her feel sorry for herself.
