"Hmm?" As Evan entered Anastasia’s Core World, he imdiately sensed that sothing was wrong.

The world essence around him— No, not just around him, but the world essence of the entire Core World was in utter chaos, boiling like milk on the verge of spilling out from a pot.

Raging, stormy winds blew with terrifying force, and even with his sturdy body, Evan found it difficult to remain standing without being blown away.

Black, inky colored clouds lood over the sky as world-destroying flashes of lightning occasionally struck in the far distance.

"What’s going on here?" Evan frowned at the bizarre sight and realized that, instead of arriving at the area where Anastasia was sleeping, he had landed sowhere else entirely.

He flew high into the sky, cautiously navigating through the violent winds and bursts of lightning as he tried to determine his location.

As he rose higher, he soon spotted the area where Anastasia was sleeping—roughly one thousand kiloters away from where he currently was.

Evan was about to fly in her direction when sothing in the opposite direction caught his attention, causing his eyes to narrow.

"That’s... that’s the snowy mountain that I saw the first ti I entered Anastasia’s Core World..." He muttered in a low voice, staring at a snowy peak a few thousand kiloters away. (Chap—998)

The snowy mountain wasn’t big. In fact, compared to other mountains he had seen within Anastasia’s Core World, it could even be called small.

However, just like the first ti he had seen it, he felt a strange pull toward it—a mysterious, almost magnetic attraction.

He hesitated for a mont and shifted his gaze between the mountain and the place where Anastasia lay asleep.

"It doesn’t look like there is anything wrong with her..."

With his enhanced vision, it was easy for Evan to see Anastasia even from such a great distance.

Despite the chaotic state of the entire Core World, she appeared to be sleeping peacefully, completely unaffected by the storm of world essence around her.

"Well, that mountain strangely disappeared the last ti," He muttered. "Since it’s shown up again, I might as well take a look at it."

With that thought, he quickly flew toward the snowy mountain. He avoided using his Void Ability, as the current state of Anastasia’s Core World made the space extrely unstable.

If he tried using the Void Ability now, he might end up sowhere completely different from where he intended to go.

"The reason I ended up so far from Anastasia must also be due to this unstable space," Evan muttered to himself and after flying for about ten minutes, he finally reached his destination.

From above, he observed the mountain but saw nothing particularly special about it.

However, as he descended and approached the mountain, a wave of extre cold struck him—so cold it felt like the coldest place in the entire world.

Even with his terrifying physical resilience, Evan couldn’t help but shiver and had to use World Essence just to prevent himself from turning into an ice sculpture from the overwhelming cold energy.

"What the hell is wrong with this place?" Evan cursed under his breath as he found that the closer he got to the mountain, the more intense the cold beca.

Even while using World Essence and the power of Law, he felt like he might turn into a frozen statue before even touching the mountain.

"This cold energy is definitely coming from sothing with a massive concentration of Ice Law."

Evan gritted his teeth, and when he noticed a layer of frost already forming over his body, he hesitated to go further.

He looked down at the mountain’s peak from above. Seeing that it was only a few hundred ters away, he felt it would be a pity to give up after coming so close.

"But even if I manage to reach the top, what then?" He was already struggling to endure the cold, and he knew it would be even worse up there.

Considering everything, he estimated that he wouldn’t be able to stay at the summit for more than five seconds before his body gave out under the sheer pressure of Ice Law enveloping the mountain.

"I don’t think I would be able to find anything in five seconds."

Just as he was unsure about what to do, Evan suddenly noticed sothing amid the icy storm.

"What’s that..." He focused on a specific part of the mountain and saw sothing lying there.

Using the power of Void Law to enhance his vision and pierce through the layers of space, he zood in on the object and when he finally saw it clearly, his eyes widened slightly.

"Is that... is that a coffin?" He muttered in a shocked voice as he stared at a crystal-clear, light blue coffin.

The coffin was surrounded by violently howling icy winds, and just by looking at it, he could tell that the cold energy covering the entire mountain originated from it.

"What kind of object is this coffin to possess such a terrifying concentration of Ice Law? And more importantly..." Evan’s heart thumped unexpectedly, "What is— or who is—inside it?"

As he continued staring at the coffin, the surrounding icy storm intensified even further.

The layer of ice on his body began to grow thicker, and his body trembled from the cold.

His instincts scread at him to escape imdiately, warning that if he stayed any longer, he would be completely frozen—his body and soul sealed inside the ice.

Despite his instincts urging him to flee, he couldn’t tear his eyes away from the coffin, as if sothing crucial lay inside it.

Just as he was thinking about using his Death Guardian Authority to take a quick look at the coffin—

Woosh!

A massive magic circle lit up at the summit of the mountain. Evan’s vision blurred for a split second, and when he regained his senses— Just like last ti, the snowy mountain vanished from the world.
