*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

Within the intricate streets of the capital city of Minos, firefights swallowed the once pleasant avenue of the cityscape. The rebels fought with great resolve, undeterred by the accelerating deaths of their supposed comrades. Dozens of corpses lay upon the streets, bringing upon puddles of crimson blood. These Minokins remained determined until the end, akin to maddened loyalist.

*BBRRrrrrrttt!*

"Take that heavy machine gun position down! Or we won't be able to move forward!" A staff sergeant shouted, shooting at the heavy machine gunner with ferocity. Their enemies were crazy bastards, much maddening than anything they had ever fought before.

"Sir, the Javelin is loaded. Ready to fire at the gun emplacents, give us cover!" A soldier reported to the staff sergeant, who nodded in understanding and roared. "Alright, give them hell!" He ordered towards his subordinates, and kept firing at the gun emplacents before them.

Being pinned down didn't feel good, especially when they were the ones besieging the capital city of Minos. But the circumstance of the battle wouldn't always stay the sa. It was ti for them to begin the counter-assault, after all, they had a governnt building to capture.

*BRrrrttt!*

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

"Rear cleared! Javelin aid!" The soldier carrying the Javelin pointed it towards the heavy machine gun placent while calling out. Behind the soldier was emptied of any personnel as the backblast of the Javelin was sowhat hazardous to those that beco expose of it.

Calming himself down, the soldier fired the Javelin at the gun emplacent, feeling the recoil over his shoulders. The warhead flew out of the weapon system's forefront as it soared through the small battlefield. It pierced through the air, swiftly impacting the heavy machine gun emplacent, resulting in an imdiate explosion.

*BOOM!*

It was a direct hit, which should have taken care of the gun emplacent that was pinning them down.

"The bastard is gone! Move forward and don't let the opportunity co to waste!" The staff sergeant roared as they had been given the opportunity to leave the pinned down position. He was the first one to leave, giving the direction of the rebels a tinge of suppressive fire.

His n followed from behind as they also fired at the direction where the rebels were last seen. It didn't take long before they entered another concrete house, which should provide them cover from the ongoing chaos outside. Though, as they entered the building, the squad quickly began clearing it of any adversaries, ensuring their security.

"Clear!"

"Clear!"

"Clear!"

A few soldiers announced as the staff sergeant placed a map on the table. He gazed at the map with scrutiny, inspecting their current location and their distance from the governnt building where the so-called War Minister dwelled.

As long as the head of the serpent was swiftly taken care off, the rebel wouldn't be much of a problem for the United Military. It was for this reason why they were racing against ti. The squads, platoons, and companies sent through the air had one mission.

Execute the War Minister and his generals within the hidden bunker of the governnt building. One might wonder why they simply couldn't throw bunker busters towards the cowards. But the reason why the United Military couldn't send bunker busters into the governnt building was rely the lack of intelligence.

While they had information about the supposed bunker within the building, they didn't have any idea where it might reside. Bunker busters needed precision to be efficient and cost-effective. Otherwise, they would be wasting tax-payer money throwing strategic bombs into the ground.

"1.5 kiloters, huh? We aren't far from the governnt building, but the resistance will be heavier once we head deeper into enemy territory." The staff sergeant muttered to himself and stared at the map. Heavy machine gun emplacents were precisely scattered throughout the capital city.

However, once soone observed their placents, it was obvious that the main priority of the gun emplacents was to protect the governnt building from the besieging soldiers of the United Military.

"Have you heard about the other squads nearby?" The staff sergeant turned his attention to his communication operator, who nodded and calmly replied. "They are also being pinned down by heavy machine gun emplacents, but few like us, are advancing towards the governnt building."

"Good, it's enough that we aren't alone." The staff sergeant nodded in relief as it would have been troubleso if they were the only squads that had penetrated through the gun emplacents. He turned his attention back to the map and began forming a plan.

"I'll brief you about my plan." After a short while, he uttered to his n, who rely nodded while maintaining their vigilance. "We'll head towards the building at the right of us, and penetrate through deeper through the nearby houses, which would provide us so cover."

"This will be the fastest way for us to reach the governnt building, but also the most dangerous as we would be right beside the road. On the other hand, the second path is by going through the back courts of the buildings and discretely infiltrating deeper into enemy territory. However, this is a pretty long route."

"So, what do you think?" He questioned his n, who rely smirked at him. One of them stepped forward and remarked. "Do you even have to ask, Sir? We are fighting to reach the bastard who started the rebellion as fast as possible. The answer is pretty obvious."

"Well, I just wanted to be sure." The staff sergeant grinned while closing his map and returning it to his backpack. Since they had rested for quite so ti inside the building, it was ti for them to go out once again and put so lead into the skulls of those rebels.

"Alright, we will follow the first route. Let's head to the right building!" The squad swiftly left the building as he uttered his orders. They trudged through the streets with their rifles pointed at every corner. The squad was vigilant of any ambushes, after all, those rebels knew better than facing the soldiers of the United Military head on.

*Bang!*

The wall beside them was hit by a sniper bullet. Without any hesitation, the soldiers gave suppressive fire towards the direction where the bullet ca from and rapidly entered through the building. Another bullet pierced through the door, but fortunately, none of them were hit.

"Damn snipers!" The staff sergeant cursed as he hid behind the wall near the windows and took a glimpse of the direction where the bullet was fired at. There were glints from their scopes, earning the furrowed eyebrows of the staff sergeant. He turned his attention to the communication operator and ordered.

"Give the coordinates of that building to the artillery battalion. Tell them we need so ground support." When the communication operator head the staff sergeant, he nodded in understanding and radioed to the artillery battalion in the rear. He began reporting the coordinates of the targeted building, which was confird by the other side.

The squad continued to keep their position in the building as the snipers fired at them without care. But it didn't take a minute for a shell to hit the targeted building where the snipers resided.

*BOOM!*

An explosion resounded from the second floor, but it was imdiately followed by several more shells. The soldiers took their cover as explosions succeeded the shell impacts. It was deafening as the staff sergeant squinted his eyes in instinct.

*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*

The sniper building collapsed, bringing about a dusted fog to cover the streets. But the smoke brought about by the explosion gave them an advantage. Without a tinge of hesitation and delay, the staff sergeant left the building and entered the nearby houses.

They noticed the broken walls and walked through it while keeping their eyes wide open. The governnt building wasn't that far as it was observable in the eyes. The only thing they needed to do was keep moving forward until they reach it.

The situation was the sa all over the landscape of the capital city of Minos. The soldiers of the United Military were advancing through, regardless of the fierce resistance portrayed by the Minos Rebels. Even the city walls had long fallen under the control of the United Military.

Only the central interiors of the capital city remained within the influence of the rebels. But the United Military was trudging in, as steady as an unstoppable flood. There was nothing the Minos Rebels could do but use their bodies to buy ti for their so-called War Minister.

Above the capital city of Minos, a lone AC-130 circled around the cityscape, pumling rebel fortifications into the ground. Its armants bombarded the rebels, leaving nothing but destruction in its wake. There was no rival that resided in the azure skies with it.

Ensuring the angel of death could dismantle the traitors of the United World Governnt with its arsenal. But as it circled around the landscape that had been devastated by war, it noticed a convoy escaping the governnt building heading eastward. The CSO within the heavy gunship quickly reported the intelligence to the United Military.

*This is Petrol-05, reporting an armored convoy leaving the governnt building. The convoy is heading eastward, heading towards the eastern gate of the capital city.* The CSO concluded his report, which was imdiately received from the other side.

*Affirmative, Perold-05. Sending Gunships to the eastern gate for support.* With the response, the CSO nodded to himself and continued pumling the remaining rebel fortifications scattered throughout the capital city of Minos.

On the other hand, an Apache soared through the sky and arrived above its destination. It hovered over the eastern gate, waiting for the incoming armored convoy that was planning to escape the capital city.
