Following the surrender of the Archmagus in the western shores of the island of Terra, the remaining Magus in the central battlefront soon surrendered under the ground forces of the United Army and its allies, along with the Dragon of Liberation, Laplace.
The final war between the Colonial Dominion of Terra and the United Navy subsequently ended four hours after the invasion of the main island began. The capital city of Terra was seized by the forces of the United Army, capturing high-ranking officials, such as the Viceroy of the Colonial Dominion.
It was a devastating battle for the colonial military and the Magus Tower, though the United Navy and its forces have also t casualties that rendered the battle more or less not so good in the eyes of the highest authorities.
May it not happen ever again.
...
Six hours have passed and the United Navy had completely occupied the island of Terra, near the seized grand port of the capital city, several frigates found themselves anchored along with Amphibious Transports scattered all about.
The sound of propellers resounded throughout the skies as Ospreys transferred personnel from one location onto the other. The captured enemies were gathered into one location, though the Magus were separated into a more secure prison camp.
At the mont, the leaders of the defeated Colonial Dominion and the authorities of the United Navy faced each other in the governance castle of the capital city. After all, it was about ti to sign the treaties confirming the defeat of Terra.
"It seems that we et again, Archmagus." Sitting on the other side of the rectangular luxurious table was Abraham with clothed in his fleet admiral uniform along with Lieutenant Colonel Laplace and Vice Admiral Charlotte with their respective uniforms.
There was also Rear-Admiral George of the UNS Jaeger of the Blue Seas, considered as amongst the high-ranking officers of the United Navy.
Archmagus Gunther had a frown plastered on his face while his arms and neck were shackled by so anti-magic handcuffs and neck brace. His magic was practically ineffective, and it seems these things were forged in reinforced tal. They were quite hard to break physically.
"You're enjoying your victory, Fleet Admiral of the United Navy." Gunther narrowed his gaze, glaring at Abraham with a scrutinizing expression. It was difficult to believe that the middle-aged man before him displayed inhuman feats with no assistance of magicraft.
It makes him wonder whether or not the fleet admiral had sold his soul to so ancient fallen god.
"If you aren't enjoying your victory, is it even a victory?" Abraham responded with a smile as rcedes entered the room, acting as his secretary. She walked through with a catering cart, giving each people around the table a teacup of their own.
Afterward, rcedes filled their teacup and soon returned to the side of the fleet admiral.
"What is the aning of this?" The Viceroy of the Colonial Dominion questioned with anger in his eyes. He had lost his territory and the victors were dragging their feet all over his face. This was the greatest humiliation he had even gone through in his life.
"You aren't here as prisoners nor are you here as negotiators. Instead, your job is simple. You must acknowledge the defeat of the Colonial Dominion and dissolve your governnt." Abraham's eyes beca cold as rcedes calmly gave him a contract.
The fleet admiral held the contract and placed it onto the table for the Viceroy and Archmagus to see. In the contract paper were the following, the Colonial Dominion of Terra and its representative governnt must acknowledge their defeat in their conflict against the United Navy.
They must give up their territories in the sea region.
Their population will be deported back to the continent of Europa.
And all of their assets will belong to the United Navy, from the bottom to the top.
The contract required the signatures of the two authorities in the Colonial Dominion of Terra. Practically ensuring that the defeat was acknowledged by the ones leading the colony. It would legitimize the rule of the United Navy over the sea region, and would make it easier for them to contact the outside world.
As the Viceroy read through the words written in the contract paper, he imdiately beca appalled, unable to believe the gall of these bastards in front of him. "How dare you dishonor the-" He couldn't continue as Abraham and Laplace's cold gaze were directed at him.
These two were the people that could easily squash him like an insect. The contract before them was simply a way for them to legitimize the authority over the sea region. It was a proof of their sovereignty.
However, there was no need for them to give proof. After all, they were already the destined ruler of the sea region of Terra. No one in this sea would be able to resist their governance. So, even without the contract, they would continue to govern it.
With this in mind, the Viceroy understood that it was better to shut his mouth. Getting out of an occupation alive was already a blessing. Even if he returned to the mainland in complete humiliation, at the very least, he was still alive.
"Apologies for my rugged behavior." The Viceroy then cough and straightened his back. Abraham's smile returned on his face while the edges of Laplace's lips supple lips rose. Nothing could beat a silent threat during political talks.
"At any rate, we still need ship and supplies if you wish to deport us to the mainland. You can't take all of the assets." He gave a reasonable opposition against what was written on the contract.
Abraham thought about it and found his words sensible. They weren't planning to let the citizens, guards, and Magus to take a ride in their warships. So, the remains of the Colonial Dominion would need their own ships and supplies to return to their holand.
"That makes sense. We will record the population deported, so that we can accurately asure the needed ships and supplies to handle them. There's no need for you to worry about that." Abraham accepted and gave a good response.
Although the Viceroy wanted to negotiate more, a safe way ho was already enough for him. So, he glanced at the Archmagus, wanting his confirmation in signing the contract.
Noticing the gaze of the Viceroy, Gunther couldn't help but slightly chuckle in the inside. His opinion on the matter was worthless. He was already planning to sign the contract since the beginning. After all, there was no resisting against them.
The Dragon of Liberation sat before him, uninjured despite being surrounded by the three Apostles of Terra Firma. She was unhard by their clash in the central plains and executed all of them with a beam of radiance. There was no doubt that he stood no chance.
"I'll sign this treaty of yours." The Archmagus sighed as rcedes gave the two of them pens to sign the contract paper. The proof of their defeat was on their arms reach. And they were willfully writing their acknowledgent in it.
It made him wonder if he had beco a coward as he grew old. If it was the young him decades ago, he would have been floating in the northern sea as a corpse.
The Viceroy gave his signature onto the paper while the Archmagus did the sa. Afterward, Abraham followed up with his own signature, concluding their discussion in the table.
rcedes took the contract paper and stood it in a briefcase. It was a good acknowledgent of their existence in the sea region of Terra, legitimizing their rule. So, its importance was paramount.
Abraham gazed at the two who sat in silence. After a short mont of staring at them, his lover beside him finally spoke. "Your Sovereign has abandoned you." It was these words that shook the Viceroy and the Archmagus.
"Terra Firma has casted you aside like toys she didn't want to play anymore." Laplace continued, agitating the two. "Are you mocking us, Dragoness?" The Viceroy questioned with a frown.
"No, I am not." Laplace shook her head and clarified. "I want to know why she would abandon you. The sea region of Terra sits between the calst part of the Ferus Sea and the continent of Europa. It should be the gate that maintains Europa's influence."
"Why would she abandon it?"
Abraham raised his eyebrows, understanding what Laplace's question ant. The Viceroy also found himself confused, while the Archmagus rely squinted his eyes as if in thought. Abraham quickly noticed his reaction and smirked at Gunther. "It looks like you have an idea."
Gunther sighed and explained his thoughts. After all, he was also amongst the ones casted aside.
"The Magus Tower of Europa has been experinting in constant spatial transmission. If they made a breakthrough in that magic-technology, then there wouldn't be a need for Terra to remain as the gate of humanity into the new world."
"So, a portal, huh?" Abraham imdiately acknowledged what the Archmagus was trying to say. Logistics would say that supplies imported and exported would have to go through a sea route. However, if such supplies could be teleported constantly into their destination.
There would be no need to maintain or be attentive of such sea routes.
"It seems that we had a good conversation. While I'd like to continue our discussion, I doubt the two of you would desire to stay in the territory of your enemy, right?" Abraham gave the two an innocent smile. The Viceroy rely clicked his tongue while the Archmagus looked away with an uncaring gaze.
