Nanzhi's ntal energy was still recovering. It was less than half full. She couldn't launch a full-scale attack.
Frankly, without the virtual map and the ga inventory, Nanzhi wouldn't have dared to kite this big frog.
She sent a volley of grenades toward the frog.
It didn't take much effort to aim; this frog was like a leaping billboard.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The explosions left scratches and shallow wounds, not deeper than a foot, but they healed quickly.
As expected, a Tier 4 wasn't a joke. Its skin was tough to pierce, and on top of that, it had a self-healing ability—one of the most annoying traits of all.
She tossed another batch, this ti aiming at its eyes, testing sothing.
So grenades were sliced mid-air by water blades, while others landed successfully. They caused injuries, but the frog healed again—though slightly slower this ti.
Although these two combos were difficult, they weren't unbeatable.
She knew the best way to handle the frog was to drain its energy reserves or interrupt its healing process to cripple this ability.
Vroom!
The frog launched another round of pursuit. It had gone completely mad after a series of provocations from Nanzhi.
It leapt and whipped its tongue, but Nanzhi and Weihao sharply turned around a corner. The tongue slamd into a thirty-story building ahead.
The frog was livid when they vanished from sight. Just as it prepared to leap again, an explosion erupted overhead. The building collapsed, falling onto the frog.
"Kekk!"
The frog unleashed water blades.
Whoosh!
So debris were deflected, but not all. The frog was trapped under the rubble, instantly sustaining deeper wounds than before.
Beneath the mountain of rubble, it let out agonizing croaks. The more it moved, the deeper its wounds beca. Its self-healing ability had beco a form of torture.
"Kekk!"
It tried to wriggle free, but another series of explosions rained down.
Boom! Boom!
The added weight grew unbearable. Wounds multiplied, the worst hitting its head.
A fracture appeared in its skull, green blood gushing out.
Two figures erged atop the rubble, blasting a hole directly at the skull fracture.
"Kekk!" It let out a high-pitched cry.
Nanzhi and Weihao saw its brain through the cracked skull. Dozens of ntal and lightning attacks struck it.
Unlike its tough skin and bones, the brain was easy to pierce.
The frog's brain matter scattered, and green blood sprayed like a fountain. It stopped moving.
Weihao reached to check the spar and hand it to Nanzhi, but she stretched out her hand to block him.
"Zhi Zhi, is sothing wrong?" he asked.
Nanzhi narrowed her eyes. No EXP notification had appeared!
Suddenly, the frog moved.
With the debris cleared, it opened its mouth and unleashed a large volley of water toward them.
Nanzhi and Weihao were forced to jump out of the way. Shock flickered across their eyes.
Even with its brain destroyed, it wasn't dead yet?!
Where the water hit, everything in its path was swept away by the strong current.
The injured frog erged from the rubble, leaping away to buy ti for its recovery.
Its wounds healed—albeit slowly—and, shockingly, even its brain was regenerating!
What a powerful self-healing ability!
They must not give it any ti to recover!
The two took out their motorcycles. Setting aside their surprise and doubts, they made an educated guess based on prior experience.
"The spar shouldn't be in its brain," Weihao said first.
Nanzhi nodded, reaching the sa conclusion. With such a massive creature, finding the spar would be a headache—unless…
She suddenly had an idea.
Monts later, the fleeing frog felt relieved—it thought they hadn't discovered its spar.
It spotted shadows nearby and opened its mouth, releasing its tongue along with water arrows and blades.
Amid its attacks, the frog noticed Nanzhi was missing.
"Croak!" How dare you flee after injuring like this!
It turned its head to search for her.
Suddenly, explosions erupted from buildings overhead.
"Croak!" Again! Do you think I'd fall for the sa trick?!
The frog stomped its hind legs and aid its water cannon at the ground.
Nurous sharp tal rods fell precisely onto the wounds that hadn't fully healed.
"Kekk!" It's cried out in pain.
With the frog spraying water, it beca a perfect conductor for Weihao's lightning. A thick purple bolt crackled from his palm, forming a ball-shaped arc before spiraling toward the frog, spreading into a net.
The instant it touched the tal rods, the frog croaked in pain, convulsed violently, and fell.
"Kekk!" Its wounds stopped healing.
Nanzhi, the terrain abuser, appeared mid-air from her ga lobby and conducted a quick ntal Diagnosis on the frog.
The frog sensed a foreign power invading its body. It thrashed and sent its tongue toward the source.
Nanzhi vanished before it could strike.
Acid splashed on the remaining buildings.
Sizzle.
The load-bearing columns corroded and collapsed.
"Kekk!" The frog earned another batch of wounds.
Nanzhi descended safely using her space ga lobby.
"Weihao, I found it! On its spine, center, six feet deep!"
Weihao, who had just reached the frog, quickly dismounted his motorcycle.
Nanzhi used her ntal power to clear the area around the spar.
The spine was already covered in wounds. Weihao and Nanzhi easily broke through its defenses.
"RIBBIIIITTT!" The frog opened its mouth, attempting to whip them both.
Nanzhi quickly shoved debris into its mouth before it could attack.
It let out a muffled croak, eyes bloodshot and furious.
Nanzhi and Weihao used their remaining energy to bore a hole all the way to its spar.
The frog flailed as it felt a force tug at the spar.
"Mmmhhhh!" You audacious vermin! Don't you dare!
Nanzhi and Weihao ignored its cries. With a flick of her wrist, Nanzhi pulled the spar free.
After a rough tug, the frog twitched, then went still.
Nanzhi looked at the cabbage-sized, azure-blue spar pulsing with energy in her palms.
Finally, the EXP notification rang in her mind.
