After checking the senders, Shi Xuan quickly opened the ssages.

Xu Ruihan: [Understood.]

Wu Yehao: [I just received an update from the headquarters. We just learned that Chairman Yao is still alive and is currently in Gao Shuwei's hands. We may need to rescue Chairman Yao later after you guys infiltrate The Ark's headquarters.]

[I will update you again later after Commander Fu and the senior officers make a decision about this matter.]

Closing the ssages, Shi Xuan turned to look at Long Yu and reported, "Captain, Captain Wu just sent an update. They find out that Yao Ran's grandfather is still alive and currently in Gao Shuwei's hands. We might need to rescue him after infiltrating The Ark's headquarters."

"Captain Wu also said that he will update us after Commander Fu and the senior officers make a decision on this matter."

After listening to what he said, Long Yu pondered for a mont and replied, "Let's not tell Ran Ran for now. After she successfully gets inside The Ark's headquarters, I will inform her of this good news."

Knowing that getting distracted at this mont would not be good for Yao Ran, Shi Xuan agreed. "Got it."

While the two of them secretly followed the trucks, the moon slowly moved toward the western horizon. By the ti the first sunlight shone through the eastern horizon, the trucks finally stopped.

Once the vehicles ca to a complete halt, the kidnappers climbed down and began shouting, "Get up! Get up!"

"Hurry up and co down!"

Opening her eyes, Yao Ran stood up from her seat and followed the others down. As soon as her soles touched the ground, she looked around but saw nothing except vast fields of colorful plants.

Noticing her curiosity, one of the kidnappers sneered. "It's amazing, right?"

Not sure why he suddenly spoke to her, Yao Ran nodded and comnted, "The plants are very beautiful."

Hearing her words, the kidnapper chuckled darkly. "Beautiful? Wait until you see how deadly they are."

After saying that, he shoved Yao Ran's shoulder and said, "Let's go."

With a weapon pointed at her back, Yao Ran calmly followed the others.

As they walked through the plantations, she noticed that the wood energy in this place was incredibly abundant. Realizing this, Yao Ran's eyes flickered as she controlled her wood elent energy and spread it out.

The mont her wood elent energy ca into contact with the plants around her, sothing astonishing happened.

In Yao Ran's mind, a vast landscape unfolded, revealing everything within a five-hundred-kiloter radius. Seeing that her surveillance skill was finally functional, the corner of her lips curved up, and her mood improved.

As Yao Ran followed the group, she silently studied her surroundings. In less than an hour, she had already identified which plants were poisonous, which were edible, and which could be used as dicine.

By the ti they reached their final destination, the sun was already high in the sky.

"Stop!" the leader commanded before pointing at a few n. "You guys, open the path."

At his order, several n stepped forward and began pushing aside a massive stone boulder in front of them.

Druuu~

As the boulder shifted to the side, a long, dark, narrow tunnel ca into view.

The leader pulled out a flashlight from his backpack, switched it on, and commanded, "Get inside!"

Thanks to her surveillance skills, Yao Ran already knew that at the end of the tunnel lay a vast opening. Before stepping inside, she discreetly stored her watch in her space.

Once everyone had entered the tunnel, the kidnappers rolled the boulder back into place, sealing the entrance.

A few monts later, Long Yu and Shi Xuan descended from the sky.

Standing before the stone boulder, Shi Xuan asked, "Captain, should we follow them in?"

Long Yu thought for a mont before shaking his head. "No. If we use this path, we will alert them. I think the end of this tunnel leads to the other side of the mountain."

Pausing briefly, he then asked, "A Xuan, can you teleport to the other side of this mountain?"

Shi Xuan pondered for a mont and then nodded. "Yes."

Hearing his answer, Long Yu said, "Good. Let's teleport to the other side first."

"Alright."

Placing a hand on Long Yu's shoulder, Shi Xuan activated his teleportation skill, and both of them vanished from there. A second later, they reappeared on the opposite side of the mountain.

Long Yu scanned the surroundings and imdiately noticed another large boulder nearby. He pointed at it and said, "That must be the tunnel exit. We should wait for them to co out."

Just as he finished speaking, Shi Xuan suddenly said, "Captain, look at that."

Hearing the tension in his voice, Long Yu turned and followed his gaze. The sight before him left him stunned.

A massive city, multiple tis larger than Colossal City, stretched out before them. Standing on the mountain, they had a clear view of the entire city below.

Seeing the heavy artillery mounted on the towering walls, Shi Xuan couldn't help but comnt, "They must have committed a lot of bad deeds to need this much protection. There are no fewer than three hundred weapons on those walls."

Long Yu pulled binoculars out from his backpack and examined the weapons on the wall closely.

After a while, he said grimly, "Those aren't ordinary weapons."

Based on his past life experiences, Long Yu rembered that such weapons didn't exist until ten years after the apocalypse.

Yet here they were, installed on the wall of The Ark's headquarters. This confird his suspicion—Gao Shuwei was indeed soone who had returned from the future like him and Yao Ran.

Becoming curious after listening to Long Yu's words, Shi Xuan also took out his binoculars and observed the weapons on the wall in the distance.

As he observed the weapons and the soldiers guarding the walls and gates, he asked, "Captain, do you know what kind of weapons those are?"
