Natural Disaster: I Started By Hoarding Tens Of Billions Of Supplies Chapter 511: Yao Ran’s Request
Opening the door, the staff mber entered and saluted the middle-aged man behind the desk. "Sir, I have sothing urgent to report."
The middle-aged man glanced up from his work at his words and asked, "What is it?"
Taking a deep breath to calm down, the staff mber replied, "A young lady ca to complete a scavenging mission today."
The middle-aged man frowned and resud his work.
A second later, he said with a hint of dissatisfaction in his voice, "We have people completing scavenging missions every day. There is no need to report such a trivial matter to ."
The staff mber hesitated, then explained, "But this young woman is submitting four warehouses' worth of supplies."
At his words, the middle-aged man's frown deepened. He paused and looked at the staff mber. "Four warehouses of supplies? Are you sure she actually gathered that much?"
The staff mber nodded and excitedly said, "When I ca to report to you, she had already filled up one and a half warehouses with various supplies."
Rubbing his chin, the middle-aged man fell into deep thought. Before long, he stood up and said, "Lead the way. I want to et this capable young lady."
The staff mber's eyes lit up, and he quickly nodded, "Yes, Sir."
When they returned to the warehouse, Yao Ran had already filled up the two warehouses.
Seeing the staff mber return with a middle-aged man, she nodded to him before asking, "Comrade, can you show the other warehouses?"
The staff mber glanced at the middle-aged man. Seeing him nod, the staff mber turned to Yao Ran with a smile. "Of course. I will open the warehouse for you, Comrade."
While the staff mber went to unlock the warehouse, the middle-aged man extended his hand toward Yao Ran and said, "Comrade, thank you for your contribution to the base."
Yao Ran shook his hand and asked, "Are you the owner of the base?"
The middle-aged man chuckled and shook his head. "No. I'm just the manager of the Mission Hall."
Hearing this, Yao Ran thought for a mont before asking, "Are you the one who decides what rewards we can receive from missions?"
The manager's eyes flickered for a second before he smiled and said, "Yes. Comrade, since you have submitted a large number of supplies, you may choose your rewards."
Satisfied with his answer, Yao Ran smiled politely. "Thank you, Manager. I will submit the remaining supplies first before we discuss my rewards."
"Alright."
While Yao Ran was busy filling the remaining two warehouses with supplies, the manager motioned to the staff mber to co closer.
Approaching the manager, the staff mber curiously asked, "Sir, do you have any other instructions?"
The manager lowered his voice and said, "Go and find the Commander. Tell him that we have collected enough supplies for the soldiers. We can send them to the barracks at noon."
The staff mber nodded and said, "Understood. I will handle it imdiately."
Twenty minutes later, after filling the remaining warehouses, Yao Ran walked up to the manager. Noticing that the staff mber was absent, she said, "Manager, can we settle my rewards now?"
"Of course. This way, please." The manager said and gestured for her to follow.
Yao Ran followed him to his office and took a seat on the couch.
"Comrade, since you have submitted a large number of supplies, you must have sothing valuable in mind for your reward," the manager said while pouring a cup of water for her.
After placing the cup in front of her, he took a seat across from her.
Yao Ran looked at him and said, "That's right. I want military aircraft as my reward."
The manager was visibly surprised at her request. He had expected her to request valuable resources but hadn't anticipated military aircraft.
Collecting himself, he said, "Comrade, military aircraft consu a lot of fuel, and they require special fuel to operate. Rather than military aircraft, how about a ship instead?"
Yao Ran shook her head and politely refused. "I can handle the fuel myself. I only want military aircraft."
Recognizing her capability, the manager sighed. After all, anyone who could submit four warehouses of supplies could likely acquire fuel for the military aircraft without a problem.
After a mont of silence, he said, "I will contact the military and ask about this. Please wait a mont."
"Sure. Please take your ti." Yao Ran said calmly.
The manager stood up, then walked to his desk. He picked up the phone and dialed a number.
A few seconds later, he said, "Commander, an ability user has co to complete a scavenging mission and is requesting military aircraft as a reward."
On the other end of the line, the Commander frowned when he heard this. "It's not possible to give her military aircraft."
Just as he spoke, a knock ca at his door. His subordinate entered and saluted. "Commander, a staff mber from the Mission Hall requests an audience."
"Let him in," the Commander said.
The soldier then turned to the staff mber and said, "You may co in." He then closed the door for them.
Standing in front of the Commander, the staff mber saluted and said, "Commander, I have an urgent report."
The Commander raised his hand to stop him, then spoke into the phone. "Just offer that ability user sothing else."
With that, he ended the call and turned to the staff mber. "What is it?"
The staff mber relayed Yao Ran's submission of four warehouses of supplies. "The manager said we will deliver the supplies before noon. Do you need to coordinate with the military staff?"
The Commander considered for a mont before saying, "Send the supplies as soon as possible."
"Yes, Commander." The staff mber saluted and left.
Once the door closed, the Commander picked up the phone and dialed another number. Monts later, the manager's voice ca through. "Commander. Do you have another instruction?"
Hearing this, the Commander asked, "The person requesting military aircraft is the one who submitted four warehouses of supplies?"
