Natural Disaster: I Started By Hoarding Tens Of Billions Of Supplies Chapter 454 454: Extracted Abilities
Wu Yehao frowned at his subordinate's words and pondered for a mont before saying, "Step back."
His three subordinates imdiately retreated as soon as he said that.
Discarding the bloody index finger and eyeballs to the side, Wu Yehao placed his palm over the scanner without touching it. A second later, streaks of lightning crackled from his palm toward the device.
Bzzzt! Phsh…
Two seconds later, smoke ca out from the scanner as Wu Yehao withdrew his hand and then kicked the tal door.
Bam!
The sudden noise of the door being kicked open startled the people inside. A second later, all the scientists working in the room turned toward the entrance. When they saw Wu Yehao standing there, their faces filled with shock.
Soon, one of them snapped out of his daze and shouted, "Guar—!"
Before he could finish his words, Wu Yehao activated his lightning ability and shot lightning at him.
Bzzzt~ Bang!
Thud!
With the lightning hitting his heart, the scientist collapsed, his eyes frozen in terror.
The others barely had ti to react before Wu Yehao waved his hand, unleashing a massive lightning net over them.
Without giving them ti to escape, he threw the lightning net down. In an instant, everyone trapped inside was electrocuted and lost consciousness.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
After dealing with the scientists inside the room, Wu Yehao commanded, "Search."
"Yes, Captain."
Following his command, the three n hurriedly searched the spacious room filled with equipnt and countless glass bottles. While they searched the cabinets and other areas, Wu Yehao approached the shelves lined with glass bottles.
Looking into one of them, Wu Yehao frowned and thought, 'What are these colorful spheres?'
Feeling curious, he took a glass bottle containing a blue sphere from the shelf. After inspecting it for a while, he gave it a gentle shake. Seeing the blue sphere scatter and then reform its shape, Wu Yehao's eyes flickered.
"This is…fog?" he muttered.
His gaze swept over the other glass bottles, each containing a different colored sphere. While he was deep in thought, one of his subordinates called out, "Captain, you should co and see this."
Snapping out of his thoughts, Wu Yehao walked over. "Did you find sothing?" He asked.
His subordinate handed him a stack of docunts and replied, "Captain, look at this."
Wu Yehao took the docunts and began reading. After only reading a few paragraphs, his expression darkened. Clenching his jaw, he turned his gaze toward the shelves filled with glass bottles.
"Those crazy bastards! They really will do anything for their goals!" He cursed angrily.
Seeing his captain's furious expression, the man hesitated before asking, "Captain, what should we do now?"
Wu Yehao thought for a mont before pressing the communicator in his left ear. After waiting for a mont, he asked, "Eldest Young Lady, where are you?"
Yao Ran's voice ca through the communicator a second later, accompanied by the sound of typing in the background. "I'm still in the laboratory. What's wrong?"
Wu Yehao's grip on the docunts tightened as he explained, "We managed to get into one of the restricted areas and discovered that The Ark has been extracting abilities from ability users."
Yao Ran's eyes flickered with cold murderous intention when she heard that. After a mont of silence, she said, "I know."
"You know?" Wu Yehao asked in surprise.
"Yes. I just found out," she replied. "I'm going through their experint data right now. They kidnapped ability users to extract their abilities, but there is no record of why they are doing it."
Just as Wu Yehao was processing this information, another subordinate called out, "Captain, I found sothing."
When he heard that, Wu Yehao hurried over. As he stood behind him, his subordinate typed a command, and a file appeared on the screen.
Pointing at it, he said, "Captain, look at this."
As Wu Yehao read the file, his eyes widened in disbelief. When he finished, he spoke urgently, "Eldest Young Lady, we need to leave this place imdiately."
Sensing the change in his tone, Yao Ran asked, "What did you find?"
Wu Yehao turned to his subordinates. "Copy all of these files."
Then, through the communication device, he said, "I'm sending you our location. Please co here imdiately."
Realizing sothing was wrong, Yao Ran responded, "Got it."
After ending the call, she retrieved a flash drive from her space and quickly copied all the database files. While waiting, she searched the cabinets and discovered stacks of docunts related to the ability extraction experints. Without hesitation, she took them all into her space.
By the ti she finished, the data transfer was complete. After pulling out the flash drive, she erased the research data from the computer.
She then turned to Long Yu and said, "A Yu, let's go."
Following the route Wu Yehao had sent to her, the two arrived at the restricted area in no ti. Seeing the open door with no guards, they entered cautiously. When she saw the unconscious scientists lying on the ground, Yao Ran looked around the spacious room and found Wu Yehao.
Stepping past the unconscious scientists, Yao Ran walked straight to Wu Yehao. Standing beside him, she asked, "What did you find?"
Wu Yehao looked away from the docunts and replied, "Please co with ."
He then led her to the shelves filled with glass bottles and explained, "Eldest Young Lady, these colorful spheres are the extracted abilities. We can't leave them here. Can you store them in your space?"
Understanding the significance of these extracted abilities to The Ark, Yao Ran nodded. With a wave of her hand, she transported all the shelves into her space together with the glass bottles.
When she was done, Wu Yehao guided her to the filing cabinets. He said, "Inside, there are a lot of experint reports. We need to take them, too."
"No problem." Yao Ran said and took the filing cabinets into her space.
While they gathered the files and other things, Long Yu and the others continued copying data onto flash drives. Suddenly, an alarm blared through the facility.
