Looking down at Yao Ran, Long Yu noticed her eyes moved. A few seconds later, she slowly opened them.

Seeing him staring at her, Yao Ran rubbed her eyes and asked in a hoarse voice, "A Yu, how long have I been sleeping?"

Long Yu replied gently, "You slept for a few hours. Are you feeling better now?"

"Mhm."

Before Yao Ran could get up from his lap, a faint groaning sound ca from the side–catching her attention. Turning her head, she saw Yao Yuechuan tied up like a dumpling while his mouth was stuffed with a cloth.

"What is going on here?" she asked in surprise.

Long Yu helped her up as he explained, "He t the big head deford monster's eyes through the drone's cara and fell into an illusion."

Hearing this, Yao Ran's expression darkened. She quickly got up, then walked up to Yao Yuechuan and took out a bottle of lake water from her space.

Before pulling out the cloth stuffed in Yao Yuechuan's mouth, she said, "A Yu, help keep his jaw open."

"Alright."

As Long Yu held Yao Yuechuan's jaw, Yao Ran pulled out the cloth. The mont it was removed, Yao Yuechuan's jaw tensed.

Before he could bite down, Yao Ran quickly poured the lake water into his mouth. Seeing that he could swallow it, she fed him half the bottle before stopping.

A few seconds after drinking the lake water, Yao Yuechuan's body slowly stopped twitching, and his expression eased.

"It looks like your lake water could help him escape the illusion," Long Yu said as Yao Yuechuan drifted into a deep sleep.

Yao Ran nodded, then, after a brief mont of thought, she asked, "A Yu, do you think we could use my lake water to deal with the big head deford monster's illusion ability?"

Long Yu pondered for a while before replying, "Since your lake water could help Yao Yuechuan break free from the illusion, I think it should also be able to counter the big head deford monster's ability."

He frowned and then added, "But your lake water can also enhance abilities, so we need to be careful. If we use it incorrectly, instead of weakening the big head deford monster's ability, we might make it stronger."

Hearing this, Yao Ran nodded in agreent. "You are right. We should observe it first and find the best way to use it."

After she said that, Long Yu asked, "Do you have another drone?"

"Yes." Yao Ran took out another drone and handed it to him.

While they guarded Yao Yuechuan, Long Yu controlled the drone to scan the surroundings. Soon, he noticed movent five kiloters away.

Staring at the screen, both of them watched as a large group of deford monsters slowly closed in. Not far from them, Wu Yehao and his n hid in the darkness, waiting for the deford monsters to step into the traps they had set.

Watching the scene on the surveillance feed, Yao Ran said, "The deford monsters are closing in as if they are trying to corner us."

Long Yu noticed it too. He frowned and responded, "If we fail to kill the big head deford monster, we might have to fight to the death against these deford monsters."

Deford monsters didn't feel tired or in pain, even when their bodies were crushed. Humans, however, would eventually wear out. In a prolonged battle, exhaustion would beco their greatest enemy.

Even though Yao Ran's lake water could replenish their stamina and energy, it couldn't prevent ntal fatigue. At most, they could fight for a few days without sleep.

With this in mind, Yao Ran said, "We must kill the big head deford monster as soon as possible."

"Mhm." Long Yu agreed.

Long Yu continued searching with the drone until he found the big head deford monster hiding outside the encirclent.

"It's hiding there," Long Yu muttered.

As he zood in on the drone's cara, Yao Ran noticed sothing. "A Yu, look at where it is staring."

Long Yu's eyes flickered when he noticed that. After a mont of silence, he asked in disbelief, "Is it staring at us?"

"Yes." Yao Ran thought for a mont before saying, "I think I know what it is looking at. A Yu, get ready for a fight."

"Alright."

Long Yu flew the drone higher and let it hover in the air before putting down the controller. Standing up, he set up a wind barrier around the unconscious Yao Yuechuan for protection.

Once he was done, the two of them left the building.

Standing thirty ters away from the building, Yao Ran took out the remaining half-bottle of lake water. She then turned to Long Yu and asked, "Are you ready?"

Long Yu nodded. "Yes."

With that, Yao Ran opened the bottle's lid and poured the remaining lake water onto the ground.

At the sa ti when she opened the bottle's lid, the big head deford monster's eyes lit up. A second later, it suddenly moved, rushing toward them at a very fast speed.

Hiding nearby, Wu Yehao saw it approaching and snapped his fingers. Thanks to the night sky, the big head deford monster didn't notice the dark thunderclouds gathering above. The next second, the sound of thunder echoed around the dark surroundings.

Du~ Ruru~ Ru~

Sensing danger incoming, the big head deford monster paused for a split second before kicking off the ground and leaped to the side—just as a thunderbolt struck its previous position.

Crack! Boom!

After narrowly avoiding the attack, the big head deford monster looked up. Before it could pinpoint Wu Yehao's location, countless thunderbolts rained down.

Crack! Boom! Boom! Boom!

With each strike, the big head deford monster's movents grew faster and faster. As it dodged the thunderbolts, it also closed in on Yao Ran and Long Yu's location.

Noticing where it headed, Wu Yehao's eyes flickered with murderous intent. He pressed the communication device in his left ear and commanded, "Do it now."
