Seeing their speechless reactions, Yao Ran chuckled, but her amusent was short-lived as she noticed a bright fire in the dark sky.

Her gaze sharpened as the bright fire got close to them at a very fast speed. Before she could react, Quan Yuanwei got a very bad premonition and suddenly warned, "Stop the car!"

Hearing his warning, Sima Yun slamd the brakes and turned the steering wheel.

Bang!

A split second later, sothing crashed to the ground, crushing the deford monsters ahead and triggering a deafening explosion.

Boom!

"Hold on!"

The heat wave from the explosion hit just a second after Sima Yun's warning.

Whoosh!

The blast of wind swept over the armored vehicle, shaking it montarily before everything cald down.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Yao Ran looked around and asked, "Is everyone alright?"

"Yes," Quan Yuanwei replied, looking outside. Staring at the still-burning object, he asked, "What is that?"

Without needing to inspect it closely, Yao Ran already knew the answer. She unbuckled her seatbelt, opened the door, and stepped out.

Seeing her approach the burning object, the others also got out of the armored vehicle and followed her.

Standing three ters away from the fallen satellite, Yao Ran could feel the heat radiating from the fire, a stark difference from the cold weather. The flas illuminated the surroundings as she inspected the satellite.

A few monts later, she noticed sothing written on it.

"Sister-in-law, what is this thing?" Ding Jianfeng asked curiously as he approached her.

"It's a satellite from the Maple Country," Yao Ran replied, shifting her gaze from the fallen satellite.

The others stared in surprise after listening to what she said. Ding Jianfeng stepped closer for a better look and exclaid, "Heaven! It really is a satellite from the Maple Country!"

Guan Haotian was a little skeptical about Ding Jianfeng's words, so he took a step forward. "Let see, let see."

While the group inspected the satellite, Quan Yuanwei suddenly looked up and said urgently, "We need to leave this place now."

The mont he spoke, everyone turned to look at him.

Seeing his anxious looks, Yao Ran said, "Let's go."

Noticing Quan Yuanwei still staring tensely at the dark sky, Sima Yun grabbed his wrist and pulled him along. Once everyone was inside the armored car, Sima Yun stepped on the accelerator and sped away.

Two minutes later, more satellites began falling from the sky.

Ma Benshun, peering out the window, pointed at the fallen satellites. "Look, another one just fell."

The others glanced up just in ti to see over a dozen satellites plumting simultaneously. As their expressions grew grim, Quan Yuanwei suddenly spoke. "A Yun, get off the highway now."

Trusting Quan Yuanwei's predictive ability, Sima Yun didn't hesitate. He crashed through the road railing, driving off the highway. Seconds later, a satellite smashed into the spot they had just left.

Bang!

Watching the explosion behind them, Yao Ran asked, "Brother Quan, can we safely reach the checkpoint?"

Quan Yuanwei closed his eyes briefly before replying, "Follow this route. There will be so mutants or deford monsters, but nothing too dangerous."

Checking the map, Yao Ran noted the alternate route. Though longer, it would get them to their destination.

"Alright."

With Quan Yuanwei warning of dangers in advance, the group managed to reach the first checkpoint after four hours of travel.

Exiting the armored vehicle, Yao Ran walked up to the entrance and entered her code into the device to unlock the tal door.

Once the door opened, she turned to the others and asked, "Do you guys want to co inside or wait out here?"

"I will stay and guard the armored vehicle," Sima Yun said.

Ding Jianfeng exchanged glances with the others before replying, "We will go with you, Sister-in-law."

Quan Yuanwei thought about it and said, "I will stay out here with A Yun. If sothing happens, we will notify everyone imdiately."

"Alright," Yao Ran said before leading Ding Jianfeng, Ma Benshun, and Guan Haotian inside.

As they disappeared into the checkpoint, Sima Yun asked, "Elder Brother Yuanwei, are you sure it's fine to stay here instead of going with them?"

Quan Yuanwei nodded. "There is no danger inside, but outside... it is hard to say."

Hearing this, Sima Yun's expression changed slightly. Lowering his voice, he said, "Brother Yuanwei, if we need to run, you'd better take with you."

Smirking at his unease, Quan Yuanwei patted his shoulder. "Don't worry. I won't leave anyone here to die."

Despite the reassurance, Sima Yun felt conflicted. Scratching his head, he thought, 'I don't

know whether to feel relieved or more nervous now.'

Inside the checkpoint, Yao Ran and the others entered the main chamber.

Looking around, Yao Ran felt a strange familiarity with the place. Running her hand along the

cold tal wall, she noted its smooth surface.

'Have I been here before? Why does it feel so familiar?'

"Sister-in-law, do you know how to turn on the lights?" Ding Jianfeng asked.

Instead of answering, Yao Ran followed the faint images in her mind. After taking a few steps, her fingers brushed against a button. She hesitated for a second, then pressed it.

Click. Wung-

The mont she pressed the button, light flooded the darkness, causing Yao Ran to close her eyes montarily. As her vision adjusted to the brightness, the room ca into her sight, and the images in her mind grew clearer.

"This place...'

Before she could piece the images together, Guan Haotian's voice rang out. "Brothers, Sister-

in-law, look at this!"

Following his voice, they arrived at a side chamber.

"Heaven! Are these weapons?" Ding Jianfeng exclaid, rubbing his eyes in disbelief.

While the others were ecstatic as they touched the weapons, Yao Ran calmly approached one

of the shelves lined with weapons. Picking up a gun, she inspected it before saying, "I have never seen this model before. Do you guys know how to use it?"

Ma Benshun picked up the sa model as hers, examined it carefully, and then replied, "It looks like the latest handgun model, but so parts are different from what I have seen

before."
