At noon, Yao Ran finished filling six large water tanks in the storage room with pure lake water. She also added a few drops of lake water to the water tanks used for storing drinking

water.

By adding lake water to the drinking water, mbers without awakened abilities could avoid deformation and have a higher chance of awakening abilities.

For the elders, while they might have a lower chance of awakening abilities, the lake water would help them stay healthy and live longer than ordinary people.

After placing labels on the water tanks, Yao Ran went to find Huang Zhihui. She found Huang Zhihui in the training room and walked up to her.

"Zhihui, I have prepared the drinking water and the water for ability users in the storage room. I have labeled the water tanks, so be careful not to mix them up when you refill the water containers later."

Huang Zhihui nodded and asked, "Elder Sister Yao Ran, are you leaving today?"

"Yes," Yao Ran replied. "The two soldiers woke up this morning, and the soldiers at the Juncheng Military Base urgently need deformation dicine. We can't afford to delay any longer."

Huang Zhihui hesitated for a second before asking, "How long will you be gone this ti?"

Yao Ran thought about her plan and said, "I'm not sure. With the increasing number of deford monsters, mutant animals, and plants, we will need to recruit more people. It might take at least a few days before we finish the task."

Noticing Huang Zhihui's worried expression, Yao Ran patted her shoulder and said reassuringly, "Don't worry. The warehouses are stocked with enough supplies to last for years. Besides, we produce our own food, and you will handle the water source. You guys will be fine."

Huang Zhihui stayed silent for a mont before nodding, "I understand. We will protect our ho while you are away."

Yao Ran smiled, seeing the determination in Huang Zhihui's eyes.

"I still need to hand over so duties to others. Keep up with your training," she said.

"Yes." Huang Zhihui replied.

Yao Ran left the training room and headed to the hydroponic rooms and greenhouses to et with the elders and Deng Qiqi. She inford them of her plan to leave and gave them a few instructions.

Afterward, she refilled the water tanks in the greenhouses and hydroponic rooms, adding ten drops of lake water to each tank. With this water as fertilizer, Deng Qiqi and the elders would have no trouble growing vegetables, dicinal herbs, and grains.

Once her tasks there were complete, Yao Ran visited the kitchen to find Mother Han and Mother Sima.

Seeing them busy preparing lunch, she said, "Auntie Han, Auntie Sima, I will be heading out with A Yu and Shi Xuan later. We are going to the Juncheng Military Base with Captain Li and the others. While we are away, I'm leaving the food rationing to you two."

Mother Han and Mother Sima nodded. "We will make sure everyone gets a balanced diet," they replied.

Satisfied with their answers, Yao Ran smiled, "I have assigned Zhihui to manage the water here. If you need water for cooking, you can ask her."

Both Mother Han and Mother Sima understood how scarce water was and that their only sources were Yao Ran and Huang Zhihui's water abilities.

With Yao Ran leaving, Huang Zhihui would be the sole water producer in the air raid shelter. Her ability wasn't yet strong enough to fully et the shelter's daily needs, so they needed to be frugal with water.

Realizing the importance of managing water carefully, they nodded and said, "Understood."

Now that Yao Ran had delegated her daily tasks to the others, she felt more at ease and asked, "What's on the nu for lunch today?"

Mother Sima smiled and replied, "We still have so cured at in kitchen storage, so we are preparing so at dishes and the dicinal cuisine you taught us."

Mother Han added, "Last night, my eldest son ntioned you are leaving today, so we are also preparing so dried food for your journey."

Although Yao Ran still had plenty of ready-to-eat food stored in the warehouse inside her space, the feeling of being cared for ward her heart.

Smiling at them, she said, "We still have a lot of frozen food, at, and seafood in the ice cellar."

"There is enough to last a few months, so just prepare so at dishes to ensure everyone has a balanced diet and strength to fight the monsters outside. I will try to see if I can find at on the way back, so don't worry and just use the frozen at."

Auntie Sima nodded, "Alright, we will follow your instructions."

Seeing that they were still busy preparing lunch, Yao Ran added, "I won't disturb you further. Go ahead and continue with your work."

After leaving the kitchen, Yao Ran went to the dining room, where she spotted Long Yu. Approaching him, she took a seat beside him.

Long Yu turned to her and asked, "Have you finished dividing your work?"

"Mhm." Yao Ran nodded.

Lowering her voice, she added, "I had stocked the warehouses with supplies last night. There should be enough to last them for at least a year. I didn't leave too much fresh food since it spoils quickly, but the frozen ats and seafood in the ice cellar should last for a few months."

"I also told Auntie Han and Auntie Sima that we will try to find fresh at on our way back so

I can take so out from my space later without causing any suspicion." Hearing this, Long Yu smiled and said, "Thank you for all your hard work. If it weren't for you, it'd be impossible for us to have fresh food and at to eat."

Yao Ran felt happy being praised by her boyfriend.

She smiled and whispered, "A Yu, after the last upgrade, my space has reached its maximum level. The ti flow in the farmland, fish pond, and grassland is now synced with the outside world. But I have noticed the lake water's effects have beco much stronger."
