"I’m looking for Mr. Johnson," Kadar casually lied about a na.

"There’s no Johnson here." The lady pointed to the naplate on the wall and said, "You’ve co to the wrong place."

"How many people are in your house?" Kadar didn’t care and just asked.

Whether the other side wanted to talk or not, he didn’t really mind.

"Please leave." The lady, indeed unwilling to say, began to sense the danger and was about to close the door as she spoke.

Kadar smiled and, with a swift motion, inserted the crowbar into the door gap.

The door, naturally, couldn’t be closed.

The lady widened her eyes in terror, but her daily life was too removed from violence. Before she could react, Kadar had kicked the door open with great force, the doorfra hitting her and knocking her to the ground in pain.

Kadar took the opportunity to enter, saying nothing more, and swung the crowbar at her head, causing her to bleed profusely and pass out.

Only then did Ismail rush in.

"This woman is old, so I didn’t leave her for you. We’ll talk again if there’s a better one." Kadar joked to Ismail casually.

"Didn’t want her anyway," Ismail said, turning to close the door before asking, "Are there caras?"

"Didn’t see any. This one didn’t die, you can ask her, then see if there’s anyone else around." Just as Kadar spoke, a scream sounded from the front.

A year ago, just this scream alone would’ve scared these two teenagers stiff.

As for now, Kadar only found it amusing. He seriously glanced at the girl standing in front of the kitchen, focused on screaming, drew his gun, and pointed it at her, "Little girl, do you know a gun?"

The screaming girl stopped, panting, her body rigid, staring at the black muzzle of the gun, the gleaming knife, and her mother bleeding heavily.

Ismail strode forward, his long legs quickly reached in front of the girl, pinning her to the wall with such force that her head hit it with a "bang."

He had killed young children before, so killing a twelve or thirteen-year-old girl didn’t burden him at all.

Kadar still had the presence of mind to joke, "Don’t smash her head; she’s not small and looks decent. Are you interested?"

"Not interested. I’m into pure love," Ismail shook his head firmly.

Because her head hit, the girl’s vision was filled with stars, and she trembled in fear like a sieve.

Kadar casually surveyed the environnt of the first floor, holding the crowbar single-handedly. After putting the handgun back at his waist, he approached the little girl, patted her face, and asked, "What’s your na?"

The little girl, terrified out of her mind, whispered like a mosquito, "Lisa."

"How many people are in the house?" Kadar asked.

"No one else." Lisa shook her head.

Smack!

Kadar slapped Lisa across the face, "How many people?"

"No one else!"

Smack!

Kadar slapped her again, "How many people?"

"No one else!"

Smack!

Smack!

Kadar delivered several consecutive slaps, until Lisa couldn’t even cry anymore.

"Three people!" Unable to withstand any more, Lisa finally confessed and scread, "Brother, run now..."

Thud.

A noise of sothing toppling over ca from upstairs.

Kadar, not rushing at all, placed the blade on the young girl’s neck and shouted, "Brother, you can’t escape, the courtyard wall’s so high, can you jump over it? You can only run out the front door. If I count to three and you don’t co down, I’ll kill your sister and then co up for you! Oh, and this woman, is she your mother? I’ll just kill her too."

As he spoke, Kadar gave Ismail a signal with his eyes.

Ismail imdiately moved towards the stairs.

"I’m counting to three," Kadar didn’t want to give the upstairs person too much ti, in case they called the police.

As for whether the other side already called, he didn’t care; he wasn’t a special forces soldier capable of instantly searching a three-story house. But, as he said before entering, if they had called, just kill everyone and leave.

It’s just a ho invasion and murder; it shouldn’t be scarce here... right.

Thud!

Another noise ca from above.

"I’m coming down, don’t harm my family." The brother’s voice had the awkwardness of puberty.

Ismail responded with a half-serious, half-joking "Mm": "I don’t want to kill either, but we’re hungry. If you give us so food, we’ll eat and take so money before leaving. If you don’t co down, I’ll have to kill."

...

Whirring.

Helicopters flew east to west, one after another.

Police cars with sirens and flashing lights were setting up checkpoints in pairs on various roads.

The massive police operation attracted countless dia eyes, so besides police helicopters, news helicopters also began appearing in the sky.

Ni Cha looked up at it all, difficult to read his expression, and said, "If we can’t catch them this ti, we’re finished."

"Two double homicides, one massacre, and one driver execution; if we can’t catch them, we’re finished anyway," Zhong Renlong didn’t comfort Ni Cha directly, just restated the situation.

Ni Cha smiled bitterly, "You’re right. Might as well and listen to Xu Taining’s idea, dying a loud and glorious death."

Zhong Renlong said nothing.

Disaster can an different things. If they can’t catch the culprits despite deploying all of Dama Police Station’s helicopters, activating every police car, and mobilizing SWAT and special forces as the standby unit, the police high command might devise a new type of punishnt for them.

"At least we have Jiang Yuan," Zhong Renlong said quietly.

"Hopefully..." Ni Cha was using Chinese, which he had recently learned over the past few days.

Thud-thud...

Liu Jinghui approached with heavy steps and imdiately asked, "Any news at the checkpoints?"

"No. Haven’t found anything anywhere, and we don’t know where their car went," Zhong Renlong replied eagerly.

"No discovery ans they’re within our encirclent," Liu Jinghui said sharply, taking out his phone and repeating the sa words to Jiang Yuan.

When it ca to Jiang Yuan’s work, Ni Cha quickly added, "They might have escaped through so unknown path."

"Didn’t Xu Taining set up hidden sentries? Did you guys?" Liu Jinghui countered.

"We did, of course," Zhong Renlong responded quickly.

"If they’re set up, they can’t escape. At least the car can’t. They stole a sedan, which can only travel on paved roads. Even if there’s a side road, they eventually have to hit the main road. If they evade the open sentries, they can’t evade the hidden ones. Xu Taining is skilled at this," Liu Jinghui said confidently, trusting Xu Taining.

Uncertain, Ni Cha said, "But... Xu sir has never been to Dama, only mapped on paper. What if there’s an issue?"

"If your map isn’t faulty, Xu Taining won’t be either," Liu Jinghui reassured Ni Cha, adding, "Even in our country, Xu Taining often works in unfamiliar places, relying on paper maps for investigations. Experts of this level function this way."

"What if they hid the car and fled on foot?"

"They can’t run fast that way. By ti, they’re still within the encirclent," Liu Jinghui said, adding, "Now’s not the ti to doubt established strategies; it’s ti to execute the plan unwaveringly."

Liu Jinghui then asked, "Is the search team ready?"

"Ready. Are we setting off?"

"Let’s move," Liu Jinghui replied.

Ni Cha nodded silently, taking out his walkie-talkie to command, "Search team, move out! Search along the route, investigate along the way..."

The search task had long been prepared, but with the mobilization now, Ni Cha’s resources were fully committed.

Looking at the sky, Ni Cha felt the gloom in the darkened sky, his expression even graver.

At this ti, Liu Jinghui comforted, "As long as one person or piece of evidence verifies the suspect’s route, searches in other directions can be cancelled, reinforcing that direction. Our manpower will snowball, naturally scrutinizing more thoroughly."

"I understand," Ni Cha moved his lips, then asked, "What does God Jiang say?"

"He’s monitoring surveillance—gas stations, convenience stores, repair shops, parking lots, public restrooms, road surveillance—if the perpetrators switched vehicles, we can find them," Liu Jinghui explained.

"Switch vehicles?" Ni Cha was startled; he forgot this possibility.

"It’s okay if they switch; it also wastes ti. They’re still within our encirclent," Liu Jinghui emphasized first, then said, "Don’t fear them abandoning cars. Even if they find another at a gas station, repair shop, or a parking lot, we can catch up, never falling too far behind."

Initially intending to ask how they’d switch cars, Ni Cha realized they could easily take out a driver, toss the person in the trunk or ditch them roadside, and switch cars silently. This thought, once again, amplified his anxiety.
