"Brother, have a cigarette." Liu Wenkai stood in the lobby of the bathhouse and offered a cigarette to the leading captain.

The captain accepted the cigarette, took a look, and clicked his tongue, "Zhonghua, huh, the conditions in Ningtai County aren’t bad."

"I snagged it from Jiang Yuan’s table." Liu Wenkai chuckled and pointed at the cigarette box, "He’s from the second generation of demolishers, all his Zhonghua are from the ’3’ range."

"A cigarette from Ningtai Jiangyuan? Well, I must enjoy it." The captain’s expression softened slightly.

Liu Wenkai casually gave the entire pack to him, laughing, "Save one for when you have a case; it helps your mind be more active."

The captain was taken aback for a mont but didn’t refuse.

Liu Wenkai "clap" lit a cigarette for the captain, and while blowing smoke, chatted about Jiang Yuan.

Liu Wenkai was already the captain of the Ningtai County Criminal Police Brigade, but when out and about, you had to either be soft-spoken or firm.

"Once we’re done checking this place and take the apprehended back for questioning, we can rest. If needed, we can continue the investigation tonight," the captain said, checking his watch, "None of us have had breakfast yet."

"Alright." Liu Wenkai naturally wanted to continue the investigation; he was betting that if Ren Kuangshan ca, he might sleep directly at a bathhouse or a foot massage parlor. Compared to hotels, such places almost never check ID, which suits Ren Kuangshan’s needs.

Nevertheless, taking those involved in these entertainnt industries back for screening was also Liu Wenkai’s established strategy. The security team wanted a break, and Liu Wenkai could only agree. They’d been working overti for two days, and he couldn’t ask for more.

Ultimately, this was their case, not a local police case. Once Liu Wenkai and his team went back, it would be a local case again, and no one would handle it for them.

The captain noticed Liu Wenkai wasn’t exerting pressure on him, and his expression relaxed, "No need to rush. Cases like this depend on chance. Moreover, such industries are entirely mobile. Custors are mobile, technicians are mobile, even the bosses and employees inside are mobile. It’s not about sweeping wide, sotis it’s just about luck."

Liu Wenkai nodded with a smile, though he didn’t quite agree.

It is indeed about luck, but if the number you encounter isn’t large enough, luck wouldn’t just stumble onto you.

But he couldn’t rush things, so he silently took a few puffs, sighing inwardly: People far from ho are worthless.

Buzz buzz...

Liu Wenkai’s phone rang.

"I’ll take a call," Liu Wenkai apologized to the captain and walked to the door.

The captain responded with a grunt, leisurely smoking, and occasionally chatted with the instructor next to him. They were purely there for cooperation, without much pressure themselves.

At this mont, they saw Liu Wenkai stand at attention, respectfully saying, "Mr. Song!"

The captain and instructor’s ears imdiately perked up.

The rank of "Director" isn’t usually sothing they could hear about.

At this ti, Liu Wenkai couldn’t care about those around him, gripping the phone so tightly his fingers were turning white.

On the other end, Song Tiancheng patiently explained the current situation, then said, "Captain Liu, the next few hours will be your ti to shine. Whether the task force’s efforts these days will co to fruition depends on you..."

Liu Wenkai’s expression was grave. This responsibility, even for him, a veteran policeman of fifteen years, seed slightly too heavy.

Song Tiancheng not only understood criminal psychology but also his subordinates’ psychology. He first outlined the difficulties, then encouraged Liu Wenkai, "Wenkai, a person’s life has many critical monts, and this is one. Ren Kuangshan’s location has already been determined, and if you capture him, I will personally comnd you."

Liu Wenkai’s body trembled slightly as he released the pressure, asking, "What if we can’t catch him?"

Song Tiancheng seed not to hear him, only calmly saying, "Wenkai, a first-class rit awaits you. If you have any requests, you can make them now. Quickly, and they must be feasible!"

The eighteen large characters of "first-class rit" booming out of Song Tiancheng’s mouth were deafening, and his unspoken words were even colder and piercing. Any slightly experienced detective knew this ant "Success is mandatory, failure is not an option."

However, "failure is not an option" for so leaders just ant you’d get a mark against you. For Song Tiancheng, it felt more like a causality weapon.

Liu Wenkai took a deep breath, "One mont, let look at the information you sent."

He tried to calm down, although his body still trembled, a result of a surge of adrenaline.

Using technical investigation positioning thods, the command center had accurately marked Ren Kuangshan’s location on the map. Liu Wenkai glanced at it, and the corresponding address imdiately ford in his mind.

These past two days, he led teams to check almost every entertainnt venue in the city. The "Tangyun Spa" Ren Kuangshan went to was one of the largest in the city, a bit more expensive, with technicians younger and more attractive, especially numbers 18 and 88, considered top tier even in Changyang City, truly remarkable.

Liu Wenkai picked up the phone again, exhaled, "I know this place, I’ll organize manpower right now, and I need you to contact the local police to confirm jurisdiction. Moreover, mobilize as many forces as possible to set at least two layers of barricades."

"No problem!" Song Tiancheng, hearing his request, felt much reassured, knowing Liu Wenkai had seen a lot.

If it were soone inexperienced, they might directly demand command, which wasn’t a problem, but Liu Wenkai ntioning "confirm jurisdiction" proved he had seen accidents, and with his other two requests, further demonstrated his understanding of the situation he faced.

Two layers of barricades aren’t necessary for ordinary arrests. Regular detectives arrest with just a few people, calling a na and putting on handcuffs, with fighting scenes rarely seen. No detective’s father, going ho, returns covered in injuries; they’re just policen, not rcenaries.

But for a major case suspect like Ren Kuangshan, already fled to the border, expecting him to surrender willingly is unreliable. While they’ll certainly go all out in the arrest, they must also guard against unexpected situations.

In real arrest scenarios, unexpected incidents are more common than fights.

Two layers of barricades are for preventing such incidents.

The manpower needed for these barricades far exceeds those used for the arrest, sothing Liu Wenkai couldn’t secure without Song Tiancheng’s coordination.

But the fact he thought of it, Song Tiancheng appreciated it greatly.

Song Tiancheng wanted stability. If he were willing to gamble, he wouldn’t even have needed to call Liu Wenkai.

After several more reminders, Song Tiancheng ended the call.

On the other end, Liu Wenkai grimly put away his phone.

"Big deal?" the captain stepped forward, offering one of his own cigarettes to Liu Wenkai.

"We’ve found him," Liu Wenkai paused, "I can’t explain in detail, but you should receive the information soon enough."

As Liu Wenkai spoke, he called his team to gather and check their equipnt.

Sure enough, the captain’s phone rang a few minutes later.

After another few minutes, the captain ca back smiling at Liu Wenkai, "Captain Liu, our director’s orders are that we follow your command completely. Please instruct us."

"Don’t worry, once it’s all done...right," Liu Wenkai offered the captain another cigarette, "Let’s talk while we move."

"Alright," the captain lit cigarettes for both of them.

Liu Wenkai said, "Bring so equipnt over. Bulletproof vests, stab-proof clothing, helts, goggles, batons, the more the better, and bring a few shields over, please."

"What about guns?"

"No need. We have enough. It’s better if you don’t carry guns either," Liu Wenkai said, looking at him, "Unless absolutely necessary, we need to capture him alive."

"What if he has a gun?"

"He doesn’t."

"For such a big case, surely you can’t guarantee that."

Liu Wenkai grittingly replied, "You can bring two as backup, but don’t use them without my order."

"Alright. How do you plan to arrest him?"

Liu Wenkai, with clenched jaws protruding, said, "Send a policewoman; we’ll go in undercover to make the arrest."
