~ With Fairy Tail ~
A strange, echoing boom could be heard from outside the guildhall.
The room went silent in an instant. All traces of celebration vanished as every guild mber's combat instincts kicked in. The rumbling continued, growing stronger with each passing second.
"Enemies?!" Jet yelled, his body already tensing for high-speed movent.
"Is it Twilight Ogre?" Max asked, sand already beginning to swirl around his feet.
Macao's voice cut through the confusion with authority. "Team Fairy Tail will go to investigate! Everyone else, to the basent!"
The response was imdiate and coordinated as Team Fairy Tail moved toward the exit as one unit, their training taking over despite the months of stagnation. Warren began securing his communication equipnt while Wakaba helped usher the non-combatants toward the basent stairs.
Roo stepped forward to join the fighters, his Rainbow Fire already beginning to flicker around his hands. But before he could take another step, small fingers wrapped around his hand.
He looked down to see Asuka gazing up at him with wide eyes. Her new hitai-ate was slightly askew, and she still clutched her wooden kunai in her free hand. She wasn't crying or panicking, but there was sothing in her expression that made Roo pause.
Trust. Complete, absolute trust that he would keep her safe.
"You guys take care of it." Roo said, his voice steady as he lifted Asuka into his arms. "I'll make sure everyone gets to safety."
It was a choice that showed how much he'd grown. The old Roo would have charged into battle regardless of the consequences, desperate to prove himself. This Roo understood that sotis the most important job was protecting those who couldn't protect themselves.
Team Fairy Tail burst through the guildhall doors, ready for battle. They spread into a defensive formation, scanning the sky and streets for threats. But what they saw made them stop in confusion.
Hovering just above Magnolia was a massive airship with elegant curves that spoke of both beauty and power. Magical engines humd along its sides, keeping it stable in the air despite its enormous size.
"The Magic Bomber Christina," Bisca breathed, recognizing Blue Pegasus's flagship imdiately.
Before anyone could react further, a figure leapt from the ship's deck. They plumted toward the ground with no visible ans of slowing their descent. The figure slamd into the earth directly in front of the guildhall with trendous force, creating a spiderweb of cracks that spread outward from the impact point.
Ichiya Vandalay Kotobuki lay sprawled in the crater he'd created, his small body twisted at what looked like painful angles as he groaned loudly.
"My apologies for the wait!"
Everyone stared in disbelief. The man who'd just fallen from several hundred feet was casually apologizing for his tardiness while lying in a hole in the ground.
Monts later, three more figures descended from the Christina. Unlike their master, the Trins used magic to control their landing, touching down with coordinated grace. Hibiki, Ren, and Eve struck dramatic poses as they landed, their hair flowing perfectly in the breeze.
The effect was completely ruined when they imdiately began looking around with obvious disappointnt.
"Where's Laki?" Hibiki asked, scanning the assembled guild mbers.
"And Kinana?" Ren added, his voice carrying a note of desperate hope.
"Surely the beautiful flowers of Fairy Tail haven't wilted in our absence?" Eve concluded with flourish.
A vein began throbbing in Bisca's forehead. Her hands moved to her pistols as she contemplated what she would do to the three knuckleheads. "They're in the basent, where they're staying until this is over. And if you three take one step toward those stairs, I'll show you what wilted really looks like."
The Trins imdiately ducked behind Ichiya, who was still groaning in his crater. Their previous confidence evaporated in the face of Bisca's maternal fury.
"Protective instincts. Terrifying in their intensity." Hibiki whispered to his teammates.
"Agreed… Perhaps we should focus on our mission." Ren whispered back.
"What mission?" Eve asked, earning glares from the other two.
Macao stepped forward, his expression caught between exasperation and amusent. Despite everything, there was sothing comforting about Blue Pegasus's consistent behavior.
"Surely you didn't co all this way just to flirt with our girls again?" he asked, though his tone suggested he wouldn't be entirely surprised if that were the case.
Behind him, Bisca's knuckles cracked ominously. The Trins shrank further behind their master.
Ichiya finally managed to extract himself from the crater, brushing dust from his elaborate outfit. Despite his dramatic arrival, he seed completely uninjured. He straightened his posture, and when he spoke again, his voice carried none of its usual theatrical flair.
"We ca here with urgent news."
The change in his tone had imdiately captured the attention of Team Fairy Tail. Gone was the flamboyant peacock they all knew, replaced by soone who clearly understood the gravity of whatever he'd co to share. The guild mbers fell silent, recognizing the shift in atmosphere.
"What kind of news?" Max asked.
Ichiya looked at each of them in turn. When he spoke, his voice was barely above a whisper, as if he were afraid the words themselves might be too much to bear.
"Tenrou Island."
The na hit the assembled guild mbers like a hamr.
"What about Tenrou Island?" Macao's voice was tight with barely controlled emotion.
Ichiya paused, looking up at the sky where his ship waited. Then he looked back at the faces surrounding him.
"Tenrou Island still exists."
The words fell into absolute silence. No one moved. No one breathed. The very air seed to freeze around them as the implications of what Ichiya had just said began to sink in. The silence stretched on, broken only by the distant hum of the Christina's engines and the sound of dust still settling from Ichiya's dramatic arrival.
