'Inner thoughts'

[Year X788]

~ With Shisui ~

Shisui stood before the Fairy Tail guild hall, staring up at the prominent emblem that marked the building. A week had passed since his eting with Warrod, and he still couldn't quite believe where that conversation had led him. His right hand absently touched the envelope in his pocket, the official letter that would introduce him to the guild master.

~ Flashback, one week ago ~

"Join Fairy Tail?" Shisui asked, certain he must have misheard.

"For five years," Warrod clarified with that mischievous smile of his. "Consider it a long-term observation mission if that makes it easier to accept."

"I work alone," Shisui stated firmly.

"Ah, but you don't, not really," Warrod pointed out. "You've worked with for a year. Before that, you traveled with those two won for a ti, didn't you? The ti mage and her companion."

Shisui was surprised that Warrod knew about Ultear and redy. He'd never ntioned them in their conversations.

"I'm a Wizard Saint," Warrod had said, noting Shisui's surprise.

"Information finds its way to . And before you get defensive, the only reason I know of this is due to my interest in you, and that both Ultear and redy are not too important for the rest of the Wizard Saints to invest their own resources into investigating their whereabouts. And I for one am perfectly happy to let them continue to deal with the Dark Guild problems." Warrod admitted. "The point is, you're not as solitary as you pretend to be."

The argunt had continued, with Warrod thodically dismantling each of Shisui's objections. The Wizard Saint had emphasized how Fairy Tail needed soone of Shisui's capabilities, how the guild was struggling without S-class mages, how Shisui's anonymous contributions, while helpful, weren't enough on their own.

"Your donations keep them afloat," Warrod said, "but what they truly need is soone who can take S-class missions. Soone who can remind them what Fairy Tail is capable of."

In the end, Shisui had relented, though he still wasn't entirely sure why. Perhaps it was the way Warrod had frad it. Not just as a mission, but as an opportunity. A chance to experience sothing new after years of wandering.

~ End of Flashback ~

"Mama, there's a person standing outside the guild!"

The child's voice snapped Shisui out of his thoughts. He turned to find three people watching him with curious expressions.

A man, a woman, and a small girl being held in the man's arms. The man had dark hair and wore a poncho-like garnt with a cowboy hat, while the woman had striking green hair and also dressed in the sa style. The child, clearly their daughter based on her features, was looking at him with the unfiltered curiosity that only children possess.

As Shisui studied them, he noticed the guild mark on the back of the man's hand. It was the sa symbol that adorned the building before him. Combined with the child's comnt, he quickly deduced that these people were Fairy Tail mbers.

"Hello," Shisui said, his tone slightly stiff. He wasn't accustod to introducing himself to strangers. "I'm Shisui."

The man shifted the child in his arms, looking sowhat uncomfortable with the unexpected encounter.

"Uh, hey there. I'm Alzack Connell," he replied, then gestured to the woman beside him. "This is my wife, Bisca, and our daughter, Asuka."

"Nice to et you, mister!" Asuka chirped, waving enthusiastically.

"What exactly are you doing standing outside our guild hall?" Bisca asked, cutting straight to the point with a directness that contrasted with her husband's more hesitant approach.

Shisui reached into his pocket and produced a sealed envelope. "I have business with your guild master," he explained, holding it out so they could see the official seal marking it.

Alzack's eyes widened at the sight of the Wizard Saint's mark. "That's—"

"So cool!" Asuka interrupted, pointing at the seal. "Daddy, look at that mark! It's super pretty!"

While Asuka admired the seal with childlike wonder, Bisca's expression hardened. Her eyes narrowed as she took in the official marking, her posture becoming noticeably more defensive.

"What does the Magic Council want with us now?" she asked, her voice carrying an edge of bitterness.

Shisui blinked, surprised by the hostility. He was not aware of the extent of the tension between Fairy Tail and the Council.

"I'm not here on behalf of the Magic Council," he clarified. "This is from a Wizard Saint, as a personal matter."

Before Bisca could respond, the guild hall door opened behind Shisui. A young boy with dark purple hair stood in the doorway, looking between the four of them with curiosity.

"I thought I heard people talking out here," he said, focusing first on the family. "Alzack, Bisca, Asuka! You're back already?" His enthusiasm was evident, a bright smile lighting up his face.

Then the boy's attention shifted to Shisui. "Who are you?" he asked bluntly.

"My na is Shisui," he answered simply. "I'm here to see the guild master of Fairy Tail."

The boy's eyebrows rose, sharing in the general surprise at Shisui's stated purpose. Unlike Bisca, however, he showed no reservation.

"Oh? I'm Roo," he said, extending his hand in greeting. "My dad's not busy with anything anyway. Co on in!"

Without waiting for further discussion, Roo stepped aside, holding the door open in clear invitation. Shisui glanced at Bisca, noting her lingering suspicion, and at Alzack, who seed more curious than concerned. With a slight nod to both, he accepted Roo's invitation and stepped through the doorway into Fairy Tail.
