Chapter 5: Tsunade’s Anger

“This… This…”

Ruofeng gulped, at a loss for words.

The person standing before him was none other than Tsunade, one of the future Sannin. Granted, she had yet to earn that title, but even now, at just fifteen or sixteen years old, she was already an upper ninja of Kiba Village.

As Ruofeng sat in stunned silence within the dicinal bath, Tsunade let out a soft chuckle. “A brat!”

She did not appear as furious as she had just monts ago. Lying back in the hot spring, she took a gentle sniff and murmured, “A dicinal bath? And this one seems to have a good effect… But why do I sense a toad’s aura? Could it be sothing from Jiraiya?”

At the ntion of Jiraiya, her previously composed expression shifted instantly into one of seething rage. She thrust out her small hand and struck Ruofeng’s face. “Speak! You little brat—are you one of Jiraiya’s associates?!”

Ruofeng gazed at the angry Tsunade, inwardly speechless. What kind of grudge is this? How did a simple dicinal bath land in such a troubleso situation? Jiraiya had peeped earlier and was given a violent beating by Tsunade before being sent flying. Because of their scuffle, his family’s hot springs had suffered great damage.

Now, Tsunade had sensed the toad’s aura within the bath and directed her anger at him. If this is not sheer bad luck, then what is? Ruofeng forced a bitter smile and explained, “I have no real connection to Jiraiya. This dicinal bath formula was given to my grandfather by him.”

Hearing this, a flicker of surprise crossed Tsunade’s gaze. This is Jiraiya’s inheritance—the techniques from Mount Myōboku! While researching dical ninjutsu, she had obtained this formula from Jiraiya herself and knew how valuable it was. Would Jiraiya give sothing so precious to just anyone?

Suddenly, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed through the room. A maid entered, bowing slightly before speaking, “Young Master… Because of the fight between Tsunade-sama and Jiraiya-sama, more than half of the hot springs have been damaged. The person in charge—”

The mont her eyes landed on Tsunade, the maid froze, covering her mouth in shock. “Tsunade… Why is Tsunade-sama here?!”

Tsunade’s expression twitched slightly, ignoring the maid and instead turning to Ruofeng. “So, you are the young master of this hot spring? Your grandfather is the so-called ‘Hot Spring Tycoon,’ and your family controls two-thirds of the hot spring business in Kiba Village!”

Understanding dawned in her eyes, but she had not expected Ruofeng to have such a background. After all, she and Jiraiya had been teammates since childhood, and she was familiar with many of his experiences.

Tsunade reached out and pinched Ruofeng’s cheek, smirking. “I never expected the Hot Spring Tycoon to have such a grandson. No wonder Jiraiya gave your family the recipe—it makes sense now. He and your grandfather must have been on good terms. With such luck, soaking in these dicinal baths daily, your future health will be impressive.”

As a dical ninja, Tsunade was well aware of the benefits of the bath’s ingredients.

Ruofeng swatted away her hand and then turned to the maid. “Go and ensure the repairs start imdiately. Cover the broken walls with wooden boards for now. I do not want today’s bath interrupted. Also, all guests who were disturbed by this ss will receive free service as compensation.”

The maid nodded quickly. “Yes, Young Master!”

With that, she left, and only Ruofeng and Tsunade remained in the bath.

Tsunade reached out again, pinching Ruofeng’s cheeks with amusent. “Cute little guy, quite assertive, huh?”

Ruofeng once more brushed her hands away. “Today is truly unlucky. I just wanted a dicinal bath and ended up caught in your trouble with Jiraiya. Even if Jiraiya and my grandfather were close, compensation is still necessary.”

His gaze t Tsunade’s, the aning clear—she should compensate him.

Ordinary rchants might have accepted their misfortune in silence. After all, this was Tsunade, the granddaughter of the First Hokage and a mber of the Senju Zan. But Ruofeng did not care for such considerations. She is right in front of —why let this slide? His eyes lingered on her, taking in her figure. Not to ntion, monts ago, he had inadvertently seen all of her. She hardly looks like a re fifteen or sixteen-year-old…

Tsunade’s mouth twitched, a trace of embarrassnt flickering across her face. “Hehe… You are not asking to pay for it, are you?”

The rage from earlier had dissipated entirely, replaced by an awkward realization—she had indeed destroyed a good portion of the hot spring. She might have driven Jiraiya away, but she had also caused inconvenience for many guests. However, as a Senju, she had never worried about compensating for damages. People rarely dared to press her for it.

Yet, the boy before her had no such hesitation.

Tsunade gave an awkward laugh and reached out again. Greenlight emanated from her palm, enveloping Ruofeng’s face. A soothing sensation spread through his skin, erasing the pain and redness from where she had pinched him.

“Is this dical ninjutsu?” Ruofeng asked in surprise.

Tsunade grinned. “Not bad, right? Consider this my paynt. This treatnt is worth much more than whatever compensation you were thinking of!”

“What?!” Ruofeng exclaid. “Healing my cheek hardly covers the damage done! Besides, you are Tsunade, a mber of the Senju Zan. Are you going to fuss over a little money?”

Tsunade sighed and shook her head. “The thing is… I am completely broke.”

At that, Ruofeng rembered a crucial detail about her. Tsunade had been taught to gamble from a young age by her grandfather, the First Hokage, and she had inherited the unfortunate trait of losing every single ti. On the rare occasions she won, it was considered an on of disaster.

It was now painfully clear—Tsunade simply did not have the money to compensate him. If she did, she would have long since spent it at the gambling dens.

Seeing her expression shift, Ruofeng chuckled. “So, what now?”

Tsunade’s embarrassnt faded, replaced by a confident smirk. “A kid like you should not be acting so serious. You ought to focus on being cute while you still can. But fine, since I cannot pay you back with money, I will compensate you another way.”

She leaned forward slightly. “You soak in these dicinal baths every day, which ans your body is rich with energy. But I can tell—you have not even started chakra extraction.”

Ruofeng’s eyes widened. “Wait… Are you saying you will teach chakra extraction? Could it be the Senju Zan’s unique thod?!”

Tsunade smirked. “Oh? You know quite a bit. It seems you have ambitions of becoming a ninja. You are just like my little brother… though I doubt he ever looked this serious!”
