Just as Kaguya was preparing to use her All-Killing Ash Bones to finish off Naruto and Sasuke, Funan suddenly appeared next to her and whispered: "So tell —am I allowed to interfere?"

The space around them imdiately changed.

Sasuke and Naruto scread.
All three of them lost their balance and began to fall.
Funan flung out a kunai. A thin wire attached to it caught him in midair, suspending him from above.
Then, he turned his head and stared intently at Naruto—his eyes now the Rinnegan.
After just a few breaths,
Funan saw exactly what he’d hoped to see.
Naruto was floating in midair.
His chakra had taken the form of an arm, holding onto Sasuke.
"Th-This is..."
Sasuke looked at Naruto in astonishnt.
"Wait... Naruto, you can fly?!"
"I... I can fly?"
Naruto stared blankly at his own arm, then a grin gradually spread across his face.
"This sensation... I get it now."
"I get it too."
Funan also smiled.
What the Rinnegan could perceive went far beyond what the Sharingan was capable of.
With a single glance, Funan had not only seen the flow of Naruto’s chakra, but also how he was utilizing the power of the Six Paths.
Funan incorporated Naruto’s flow pattern into his own power system.
"Funan-aniki, watch out!"

Funan looked up.

Kaguya seed to know what Funan was thinking and gave a direct explanation.
In response, Funan clicked his tongue.

With a heavy thud—
Kaguya, who had been rushing at Funan, was sent flying back with a single punch.
"Mother!"
Black Zetsu, who had been hiding in Kaguya’s sleeve, scread in panic.
"Now!"
Naruto suddenly shouted, then flung Sasuke toward Kaguya with force. At the sa ti, he appeared on her opposite side.
Both of them reached for her.

Now was the chance—to seal Kaguya away.
[Smack!]
They made contact.
"Got her!"
The two hadn’t even had ti to celebrate when a powerful force blasted them backward.

The impact knocked them away.

Kaguya was breathing lightly, her eyes locked on Funan.
"You can actually fly?"
Funan was floating lazily in midair, gazing back at her.
"I couldn’t before," Funan said, pointing at Naruto. "But then I saw how he was doing it—and now I can."
Kaguya: "..."
Naruto: "As expected of Funan-aniki!"
"So," Funan said with a playful smile as he looked at her, "Kaguya, are you sure you still want to fight ? Wouldn’t it be better to team up?"
As for the Sage of Six Paths—Funan didn’t know much about him at all.

Kaguya did.
Kaguya stared at Funan, her expression fluctuating between gloom and hesitation.
Should she cooperate?
She’d already tested him—and nearly got tested out of existence in return.

This couldn’t go on.
Kaguya steadied herself and said coldly, "We can cooperate... but first, those two brats—"
"These two brats are my subordinates," Funan cut Kaguya off and said plainly. "So stop dreaming about things that are never going to happen."
Kaguya gave him a aningful look. "Your subordinates? I doubt that."
Naruto and Sasuke carried the power of Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo. They could hardly be considered Funan’s subordinates.
If anything, they were more likely to stand against him.
Still, since Funan had said it so confidently, Kaguya wasn’t going to press the issue.
In the end, they were just two brats carrying Hagoromo’s power.
Strip away that power, and their own strength—propped up by Hagoromo—was negligible at best.
Though Hagoromo was her own child, their relationship had never been good.
Seeing Funan go up against him? That suited Kaguya just fine.
"I need to recover my strength."
Kaguya looked at Funan and said bluntly, "This resurrection has left far from my peak."
Her tone was full of frustration.
She needed the source of chakra—she needed the Tailed Beasts’ cores.
"I might be able to help with that," Funan said after a mont’s thought. "But you can’t act recklessly."
"Recklessly?"
"Yes. Whether it’s the White Zetsu or boosting your strength—I’ll find a way to help."
Funan spoke each word deliberately: "But if you so much as lay a hand on my people, don’t expect to show any rcy."
A flash of anger passed through Kaguya’s eyes, but she suppressed it well. "What about the Tailed Beasts?"
"That too. I’ll see what I can do."
Funan answered directly. "In any case, you’re forbidden from acting on your own."
"Fine."
This ti, Kaguya agreed without hesitation. "As long as you can restore my power, I’ll cooperate with you."
And once I’ve regained my full strength, I’ll settle the score properly.
Hagoromo included.
I won’t let a single one of you go.
A cold glint passed through Kaguya’s eyes.
Funan turned his gaze to Naruto and Sasuke.

Shaking his head, Funan led the group and departed this dinsion together with Kaguya.

Kaguya didn’t even bother responding to Hashirama’s question.
If it weren’t for Funan, she would’ve already erased this impudent man just for questioning her.

Tobirama stepped forward, furious, and growled, "Have you lost your mind? What the hell do you think you’re doing?"

"Look at yourself! We’ve just stopped fighting, and now you want to start another one?"

"How long?" Kaguya’s tone grew even more frigid.
The re thought of the Ōtsutsuki made her increasingly agitated.
"As long as it takes!" Funan’s voice rang with unmistakable authority. "Kaguya, I have shown you nothing but courtesy and respect. But you must understand—I am the one in control here."
His Rinnegan flared, releasing a surge of overwhelming ocular power.
Funan’s expression turned cold.
Kaguya’s face changed drastically. "You..."
But Funan’s tone shifted abruptly. As if flipping a switch, his icy deanor gave way to a casual smile.
With a mild chuckle, he said, "Besides, your thod is fundantally flawed. There aren’t that many people in the Shinobi World to begin with. Even if you turned all of them into your warriors, how long could they possibly last?"
"Low-level shinobi rely on numbers to face high-level ones."
"After a few battles, they’d all be spent."
Kaguya suppressed her anger and asked, her voice tight, "Your thod—can it really provide many warriors?"
"Yes. And the idea didn’t even co from ," Funan said, fixing his gaze on her. "It ca from your son—Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo."
"Hagoromo?"
"In the Pure Land, there are countless warriors. All the heroic souls who’ve died throughout the ages reside there."
Funan pointed toward the Shinobi World. "Your way can only harvest one batch of shinobi. But if we let the shinobi world continue to grow and evolve, we can harvest a new batch every so often. In this way, we’ll gain an endless supply of warriors."
Kaguya fell silent, deep in thought.
Funan pressed, "Don’t underestimate it. Do you know how many shinobi have died since the birth of the ninja world? Do you have any idea how many warriors are in the Pure Land?"
