Chapter 33: Rating: A

After a long chase, Uchiha Shinji finally cornered Rui, the Lower Moon Five, at a mountain stream.

Facing the relentless pursuit by Shinji, Rui no longer displayed the arrogance he had when dealing with the Hidden Leaf ANBU earlier. With no way to escape, he fell into madness, not giving Shinji any chance to interrogate him. Rui wildly unleashed his Blood Demon Art, casting layer after layer of blood webs in all directions.

Swish, swish, swish.

Everything swept by the blood webs was shattered into pieces.

In a short ti, the mountain stream was filled with broken wood, flying rocks, and splashing water, leaving the place in chaos!

At this mont, Shinji didn't choose to recklessly clash with Rui and waste his dojutsu, but instead retreated to a high ground, looking down on the mountain stream from above.

He knows I want to interrogate him for information...

Rui's sudden madness made Shinji suspect it had sothing to do with his attempts to extract information.

This indicated that, for Rui, being interrogated for information was an extrely serious matter, so much so that he instinctively resisted it, causing him to lose control.

Realizing this, Shinji shook his head inwardly. It seems it will be difficult to extract any useful information from him.

The mastermind behind this invasion clearly anticipated the possibility of Rui, an early-stage scouting demon, leaking information. As a result, they must have set up so kind of contingency on Rui.

So Shinji's plan to obtain information through Rui was likely not going to succeed.

In that case, there's no point in wasting any more ti!

Shinji quickly made up his mind.

Whoosh.

Just as Shinji was about to act, a streak of blood-red light tore through space, as if piercing through a dinsional rift and shining into the ninja world!

Seeing this, Shinji's pupils contracted, and he felt a sudden surge of unease.

In contrast, Rui, who was in a frenzy, was overjoyed at the sight of the blood-red light. Without a second thought, he rushed toward it with all his strength.

Shinji's expression turned serious. Without pausing to analyze what the blood-red light was, he leaped into the air, and before landing, activated Susanoo mid-air.

Boom!

Like a deity, Shinji's enormous Susanoo descended from the sky, slamming into the mountain stream and smashing Rui, who was rushing toward the blood-red light, into countless pieces!

Shattered into fragnts, Rui's flesh separated into four or five parts. Each piece sprouted eight spider legs and scurried toward the blood-red light.

As he fled, he shouted, "You can't catch ! You can't catch !"

At this point, he was only a few dozen ters away from the blood-red light. At his speed, he would reach it in the blink of an eye. Rui had completely lost his fear of Shinji, and his voice was filled with glee.

Beneath the Susanoo, Shinji looked over coldly.

Whoosh.

A black fla suddenly floated out, like a feather, gently landing around the blood-red light.

Rui instinctively sensed that the black flas ahead of him were no ordinary flas, but with the blood-red light so close, he believed that as long as he reached it, he would complete his mission. Thus, all of his four or five separated bodies rushed straight into the black flas.

"Ahhh!"

The mont Rui made contact with the black flas, all of his bodies let out horrifying, blood-curdling screams.

They rolled around within the black flas, trying desperately to shake off the flas attached to them, but all efforts were in vain. No matter what they did, the flas stuck to them like a shadow!

In no ti, all five of Rui's separated bodies turned to ash within the black flas, as if they were rely ordinary flesh, with no sign of their rapid regeneration ability.

At that mont,

The blood-red light that had torn through space vanished as abruptly as it had appeared, leaving only a faint trace on the ground.

Shinji deactivated his Susanoo and calmly walked over.

The Amaterasu black flas that had been on the ground were extinguished by him, and there was not a trace of Rui, who had rushed into the Amaterasu. He had been completely incinerated by the black flas, leaving nothing behind.

Amaterasu can indeed restrain demons.

Shinji observed the results with his own eyes.

When Rui had previously taken the Fire Dragon Bullet from one of the ANBU, he hadn't let out a single scream. But the mont he touched the Amaterasu black flas, his agonizing screams filled the air.

Moreover, within monts, he had been reduced to ashes in the Amaterasu flas, and the demon's extraordinary regeneration ability seed to be non-existent.

However, Shinji frowned slightly.

He rembered that Rui, the leader of the Mount Natagumo Demon Family, was the Lower Moon Five among the Twelve Kizuki.

But just now, when Rui split into five, the hair covering his left eye fell away, and Shinji saw that his left eye was marked as Lower Moon Six.

"Did I rember wrong?"

Shinji shook his head and pushed the doubt aside.

Regardless of whether Rui was Lower Moon Five or Lower Moon Six, it no longer mattered now that he had been eliminated.

[Invasion successfully blocked]

[Dinsional rift closed.]

The mysterious voice finally echoed.

Shinji let out a sigh of relief. The sound of the mysterious voice ant that he had eliminated all the demons and had not left any loose ends.

Though he couldn't extract information from the demons, he had successfully prevented them from sending information back to their mastermind.

Especially the knowledge of how to use chakra.

Chakra could be used not only to perform destructive ninjutsu, but also to heal wounds, and even create matter out of nothing, promoting life.

If the demons fully mastered the techniques of chakra manipulation, the consequences would be unimaginable.

[Scans detect loot.]

[Analyzing loot.]

[Loot acquired: Thread manipulation techniques.]

[Loot acquired: Special spider threads (can be enhanced by chakra).]

Two glowing orbs appeared in the chaotic mountain stream.

"Thread manipulation techniques and spider threads?"

Shinji approached the orbs and reached out, grasping both into his hand.

Imdiately,

A torrent of thread-manipulation knowledge flowed into his mind. These were advanced techniques, yet he comprehended and mastered them effortlessly, as if he had spent decades specializing in thread manipulation.

"This... this is all of Rui's knowledge about controlling threads!"

As a spider demon, manipulating threads had beco second nature to Rui, and now all that knowledge had been transferred to Shinji.

Next, Shinji looked at the spider thread in his hand.

The thread was incredibly light, so much so that it felt weightless in his hand. It was also exceptionally soft, entirely unlike the razor-sharp threads that had sliced through rock and steel earlier.

On a whim, Shinji decided to try the thread manipulation techniques he had just acquired, giving the thread a light shake.

Swish.

The soft spider thread, when infused with chakra, instantly turned into a sharp blade, slicing through a large tree nearby, cutting it cleanly in two.

"Impressive!"

In the darkness, using this spider thread for a sneak attack would be nearly impossible to defend against.

However, according to Rui's knowledge, Shinji understood that spider threads had a weakness, and that weakness was none other than fire.

When exposed to flas, the threads would instantly soften and turn to ash.
