He quickly scanned his surroundings, but the scenery remained unchanged, and Ido hadn't been teleported away.
If there was any difference from a mont ago, it was that Ido, for so reason, stood there with her mouth agape, utterly stunned.
"You—"
Uchiha Shinji started to ask, only to freeze mid-sentence.
Because the figure before him wasn't Ido at all—it was Yakumo, who should have been 130 kiloters away in Hidden Leaf Village.
"B-Boss, where am I?!"
Yakumo's face was etched with panic.
One second, she'd been in her bedroom; the next, she was in this wilderness. If Uchiha Shinji weren't standing in front of her, she'd have been even more freaked out.
Before Uchiha Shinji could explain, Ido's startled cry echoed in Yakumo's ears. "What's going on? How did I get back?!"
