Hozuki Suigetsu blinked a few tis and instinctively glanced outside Ryugu Palace at the massive Sanbi Isobu.
Yeah, it was huge—comparable to a small mountain.
He gulped and said with a dry throat, "nma-dono, I have the Suika no Jutsu (Hydrification Technique). They shouldn't be able to hit … right?"
Naruto looked at him with a bit of pity. In a flash, his figure appeared in front of Suigetsu and flicked his finger.
"Pop!"
"Ah—!" Suigetsu hissed in pain.
"No wait…" he suddenly reacted, "I clearly used Suika no Jutsu just now."
His body had already turned into flowing water. Normally, this would make him immune to all physical attacks.
"This is called Busoshoku Haki (Armant Haki). It can hit Logia-type bodies," Naruto said, waving his now pitch-black arm.
Cold sweat ran down Suigetsu's forehead. "Didn't expect this place to be this scary, huh…"
Naruto chuckled softly.
In terms of pure combat strength, the One Piece world actually slightly outmatched the Naruto world, mostly because the three types of Haki were total bugs.
But the reason Naruto felt the ninja world was stronger was mainly because a few Chōkage (Super Kage-level) individuals skewed the entire power scale.
"Here, take this!" Suigetsu lost interest in teasing Whitebeard and casually put the Den Den Mushi on Marco's face.
"Couldn't you just hold it near my ear!?"
Marco's face darkened. Having a snail crawl on your face was a truly unpleasant experience.
"Marco, you're still alive!?"
Whitebeard's voice ca through the receiver, his eyes wide and expression filled with relief. The image in the video feed cleared as well.
Just monts ago, he thought Marco was already dead.
Hearing Whitebeard's reaction, the rest of the Whitebeard Pirates also sighed in collective relief.
"Pops… I'm still alive…" Marco struggled to ignore the snail's slimy crawl on his face. Glancing at Naruto, he said bitterly, "But… I got captured…"
"Gurararara!" Whitebeard burst into hearty laughter. As long as Marco was alive, everything was fine.
"Who captured you? Was it the Marines? Don't worry, Pops is coming to get you. They dared to lay a hand on my son?"
"No… not the Marines…" Marco said bitterly. "It was the Demon Child, Uzumaki Naruto—the one who took out the Celestial Dragon."
"The Demon Child Uzumaki Naruto!?"
Whitebeard paused for a mont. With a creased brow, he finally rembered the wild, unruly boy from over ten years ago thanks to a crewmate's reminder.
"That brat… Is he trying to challenge ?"
Whitebeard's eyes flared with pressure and killing intent, but of course, it couldn't be felt through the Den Den Mushi.
"It's not like that…" Marco hesitated for a while but just couldn't bring himself to explain clearly.
"You can't even talk properly? Give that!" Naruto glanced at Marco with disdain and took the Den Den Mushi himself.
"Captain Whitebeard, I have a grudge with Fishman Island. Since you're the one protecting this place, I'm taking the island."
"Uzumaki Naruto, huh?" Whitebeard heard the youthful voice and responded solemnly, "You laid hands on Marco and now you want to seize the island I protect. Are you declaring war on my pirate crew?"
"If I wanted war, I would've already killed him." Naruto looked at Marco and said flatly, "I have a decent opinion of you. Even though you're a pirate, you don't abuse others, and you treat your crew like family."
"But under your protection, Fishman Island has produced fishn who think they're superior, who treat humans as lower beings…"
"You can ask Marco. If you still want to go to war over this, I'll gladly accept."
Whitebeard narrowed his eyes slightly.
"What an arrogant brat… but I kind of like that. Gurararara…"
He laughed again, then asked, "Marco, is what that brat said true?"
Marco quickly replied, "I don't know much about that Fishman Pirate group Naruto ntioned, but it's true that Fishman Island has fishn who claim to be a superior race. The leader, Hody Jones, has already been killed."
"I see…" Whitebeard went silent for a couple of seconds, then said gravely, "Brat, Fishman Island is under my protection. I'm not giving it up—"
"But I will go there in a few days and clean up those—"
"I've already decided on taking Fishman Island!" Naruto interrupted coldly, "I don't need you to dispense justice. Pirates don't need justice. If you're coming, we'll settle it in battle."
Whitebeard's face turned dark. "Brat, who do you think I am!?"
Naruto responded just as coldly, "What does that matter to ? You let this happen—now the whole Fishman Island pays the price."
And with that, Naruto cut the call.
Turning around, he said calmly, "Shisui, go find a flag. Draw a leaf and a skull on it. This place is ours now."
"Hai!"
Uchiha Shisui respectfully answered.
As the sun set.
The blonde youth stepped into Fishman District.
It was the most chaotic, violent area on the entire island—the place where the most radical fishman supremacist ideologies had originated.
Both Arlong and Hody Jones ca from this street.
Naruto sat on the chest of a giant rmaid, staring coldly at the filthy, disgusting streets, taking in the scene before him.
Dirty. Disorderly. Filled with vicious-faced fishn, all eyeing him like predators.
And before them—nurous human slaves. Not just pirates, but many weak, ordinary humans too.
"So they really did treat humans like slaves…"
Naruto spoke coldly. Flas began to rise from his arm.
The giant rmaid beneath him teared up, looking at him with pleading eyes.
"Lord Naruto, what they've done is horrible, and they deserve punishnt—but please, can you…"
"No!"
On the other side of the rmaid's chest, Nami shouted angrily:
"They're all the sa as Arlong. Because of them, my hotown was under a cruel regi!"
"My mother was killed by fishn! These bastards are trash!"
The rmaid princess was a whiting-type fishman with a massive fra, long flowing pink hair, a red taiyaki-shaped hair ornant, and shell-shaped earrings.
With brilliant blue eyes and a curvaceous figure, she looked heartbroken as she wept and turned to Nami:
"I'm sorry, Nami-san… It's our Fishman Island's fault that your ho suffered so much pain…"
