"Save him. He's not dead yet." Haruki answered Aoki's question.

His finger pointed at the Konoha ninja whose body was twitching slightly.

His voice was so soft that both Aoki and Nagato almost didn't hear him, but his eyes glead with firm resolve.

Haruki's words made Aokis pupils contract. Aoki's breathing involuntarily quickened.

"And after you save him?" Aoki's eyes suddenly turned cold.

"Look around you. This is a battlefield. Kunai could fly over at any mont, Ninjutsu could strike down." Aoki's voice was extrely low.

His pupils dilated, staring unblinkingly at Haruki.

"You save him?"

"How do you save him?"

"If you expose yourself, all three of us will die."

"Can you save one, can you save everyone?"

Aoki stared intently at Haruki.

Why... why be so naive?

Why say such naive things!

This is a battlefield!

The familiar headache began to tornt Aoki again. His brows imdiately furrowed, and he clutched his head.

After a mont, he forcibly endured the pain, staring at Haruki, his words like ice-cold needles, fiercely piercing Haruki.

"Look at the clothes he's wearing. He's a Konoha ninja. If you get close to him, he might even stab you before he dies."

"Or if his companions or enemies see us, we'll all be targeted for attack."

"Here, kindness is the most fatal thing."

Aoki had never seen anyone as naive as Haruki.

Even if these ninjas were saved, wouldn't they still die in the war? What's the point of saving them?

Only by ending the war can all of this truly be resolved.

Haruki's gaze shifted to Aoki. He looked at Aoki's pale face, his blue eyes now burning with a fervent, determined light.

"So what?" He countered Aoki.

"Just because it's dangerous, because we might not be able to save everyone, because we might be misunderstood, should we just stand by and do nothing?" Haruki spoke in a low voice, one word at a ti.

"A Konoha ninja, or an Iwa ninja, so what? He's just a dying person right now. If I see him, I can't just turn away."

The fear and wavering in Nagato's heart seed to be burned away by the light radiating from Haruki's eyes. He stared blankly at Haruki.

Haruki looked at Aoki. His voice was not loud, in fact, it was very low, even smaller than the sound of insects, but it carried a strange, invigorating power, as if it pierced through the clamor of the battlefield, reaching deep into Aoki's heart and soul.

Haruki's voice echoed in Aoki's ears. "Calculating pros and cons, choosing indifference, is not my original intention for learning dical Ninjutsu."

"If I turn away today out of fear, then what right do I have to claim that I want to end the war, save the people of the Ninja World, and create a peaceful world?"

Aoki's pupils trembled. He stared at Haruki in front of him. Haruki's eyes were incredibly clear, and incredibly stubborn. There was a pure belief in his eyes that Aoki found familiar, yet had been abandoned and forgotten by him.

This belief, he once had, and his companions who died on the battlefield also had. But it was destroyed by the cruelty of war.

Haruki was also a ninja who had personally experienced war, but his belief was not destroyed.

Aoki was stunned. He thought, 'That man was right. Haruki could indeed achieve that plan. Only soone like Haruki could achieve that plan. Only he could bring true, eternal peace and happiness to the Ninja World.'

"I'm with you." Nagato grabbed Haruki's wrist with his backhand.

He looked at Haruki and repeated again, "Haruki, I'll go with you."

His heart was beating at an unprecedented speed. Nagato had never felt his existence so clearly.

As he expected, by Haruki's side, he found his true self, he found evidence of his existence.

"Okay." Haruki looked at Nagato in front of him, smiling at him.

"Don't worry. Nagato, I won't put you in danger." Haruki promised Nagato.

Haruki was not a fool, he would not sacrifice himself to save others. It was precisely because he was confident of retreating safely that he made such a seemingly foolish choice.

'It doesn't matter if I'm in danger.' Nagato said in his heart.

Aoki's eyes felt a sting. A subtle cracking sound seed to emanate from a corner of his heart, which had been frozen layer by layer.

Haruki looked at Aoki, his eyes filled with concern, not at all angry because of Aoki's words just now.

"Aoki, step back and try to keep your distance from us, so you don't get discovered."

After instructing Aoki, Haruki looked at Nagato and said, "Nagato, the task of treatnt is up to . Stay by my side and help find those ninjas who can still be saved, and help be vigilant about our surroundings."

Nagato nodded without hesitation. "Okay."

Aoki squatted beside Haruki without moving, he stared at Haruki and asked, "Then how do we move the injured ninjas over?"

Once they made a move, they would be exposed to the ninjas' sight. The ninjas, who were seeing red on the battlefield, didn't care who you were. As long as you appeared on the battlefield, as long as you weren't on their side, then you were all enemies.
