My na is Ōtsutsuki Toneri.

I am a descendant of Ōtsutsuki Hamura.

For nearly a thousand years, my branch of the Ōtsutsuki clan lived on the moon.

Our purpose was simple.

To watch the Earth.

To judge the world created by the Sage of Six Paths.

And after a millennium of observation, I reached a conclusion.

It was a failure.

War never ended. Hatred never disappeared. Humanity never learned.

A defective creation should be erased.

Especially now.

In the last two years, the chaos below had grown so violent that even the moon itself had begun to destabilize.

That was the final sign.

It was ti to fulfill our ancestor’s will.

Destroying the Earth required planning.

After so thought, I decided the simplest thod was best.

A massive teor.

Before that, however, there was one thing I had to do.

I turned my empty eye sockets toward the blue planet.

There was a girl down there.

A girl with a Byakugan so pure it felt like a beacon.

The girl I had watched since childhood.

My future wife.

After all, I had been born without eyes.

Perhaps this was punishnt.

Long ago, my clan sacrificed all of their Byakugan to create the Tenseigan and slaughtered the peaceful main family on the moon.

Since then, our numbers dwindled.

Generation after generation.

Until only I remained.

It didn’t matter.

Once I married the Byakugan princess, we would enter stasis together.

After Earth’s destruction, I would use the Tenseigan to restore the planet.

Then we would beco the progenitors of a new humanity.

A peaceful humanity.

Originally, I intended to retrieve her myself.

But... being blind made that inconvenient.

"It seems I’ll have to use the puppets again," I murmured.

Dozens of pale figures erged behind .

Ōtsutsuki puppets.

They had no life force.

No chakra signature of the living.

I sent them to Earth through the gravitational corridor I had opened when I pulled the moon closer.

I wasn’t worried.

The Earth’s Hyūga branch lacked the blood purity to use the Byakugan’s full power.

They wouldn’t stand a chance.

They arrived at night.

They found a man with Byakugan purity high enough to qualify as clan leadership.

Hyūga Hiashi.

The puppets nearly killed him.

He escaped with his life, barely.

Watching through their eyes, I felt amused.

So this was the strongest of Earth’s Hyūga.

Pathetic.

And yet... he was still among the strongest humans alive.

Another confirmation.

The Sage’s world truly was a mistake.

Then I felt it.

A Byakugan like a gemstone.

Bright. Pure. Perfect.

Joy surged through .

The puppets rushed toward it.

That had to be her.

Instead, what I saw made pause.

Standing beside her was a blond boy.

He was comforting her.

She was crying.

Through the puppets’ senses, I learned why.

Her father had gone missing.

The boy’s expression hardened.

He felt heavy.

Yet gentle.

Then suddenly, he looked up.

Directly at .

Even through a projection, I felt his awareness brush against mine.

Interesting.

There were only two people on Earth who should have been able to sense like that.

And one of them was Fujimoto Tōma.

"Who are you?!" the blond boy shouted.

I ignored him.

My gaze stayed on her.

"The world will end soon," I said calmly.

"I’ve co to take you with , Princess of the Byakugan. Hinata."

"What kind of nonsense is that?!" the boy snapped.

"Did you take the Hyūga clan head?!"

The girl tensed.

I smiled faintly.

The puppets lunged for her.

They never reached her.

Golden chakra exploded outward.

In seconds, every puppet was obliterated.

The blond boy stood between us.

Power radiating off him like a sun.

So.

He was stronger than the Hyūga leader.

No matter.

I pointed upward.

A massive teor was already falling.

"My na is Ōtsutsuki Toneri," I said.

"Hinata. I will co for you again before the end."

Then I vanished.

My objective was complete.

Even without Hinata, another puppet unit had already captured a second suitable Byakugan host.

Hyūga Hanabi.

Once I transplanted her eyes, even that blond boy would fall.

Then I would take Hinata.

Naruto clenched his fists.

He didn’t care about the teor.

A black-winged silhouette was already rising into the sky.

Sasuke.

The teor vanished in a flash of distorted space.

"What happened?" Sasuke asked, landing beside him.

Naruto explained everything.

"Ōtsutsuki..." Sasuke muttered.

"That na again," Naruto said grimly.

"The sa clan Tōma warned us about."

Sasuke frowned.

"And the moon’s getting closer. Parts of it are collapsing."

Naruto’s eyes widened.

"You’re kidding."

"We need to tell Fujimoto Tōma."

They moved fast.

They entered the palace.

Inside sat Fujimoto Tōma.

Or rather...

His chakra avatar.

He listened quietly.

Then nodded.

"So Hamura’s descendants finally moved."

He didn’t look concerned.

"They aren’t the Ōtsutsuki I warned you about," Tōma said.

"They’re a side branch. Leftovers."

Sasuke nodded slowly.

"What do we do?"

Before Tōma could answer, the doors burst open.

Hinata stumbled in, breathless.

"Hanabi was taken," she said.

Naruto went still.

Tōma’s gaze sharpened.

"...Convenient."

"Don’t rush," Tōma said calmly.

"The scouts haven’t reported back yet."

He thought briefly.

Then looked at Naruto and Hinata.

"Get Neji. And Tenten."

"Neji leads. The four of you retrieve Hanabi."

"Yes!" Naruto said instantly.

Hinata’s heart finally eased.

If sothing went wrong...

Fujimoto Tōma would step in.

And then nothing in this world would survive standing in the way.

The team left.

Only Sasuke remained.

"You still have sothing to say," Tōma noted.

Sasuke activated his Rinnegan.

Four tomoe glead within it.

"I’m ready," he said quietly.

"For that."

Tōma raised an eyebrow.

"Your wedding’s in a few days."

Sasuke paused.

"...After that."

Tōma nodded.

"Good."

Then he smiled faintly.

"Actually... go with them."

Sasuke blinked.

"Huh?"

"That artifact requires Ōtsutsuki chakra to activate properly," Tōma said.

"Real Ōtsutsuki chakra."

"Better than a synthetic copy."

Sasuke’s eyes lit up.

"...Understood."

He vanished.

Tōma leaned back.

"They’ve all grown up."

Weddings.

Wars.

Gods from the moon.

Ti was moving again.

A tiny moon sprite appeared on his desk.

Tilting its head.

Watching him silently.
