The "key" to activating the barrier was now being placed directly onto Kushina's body.

"Kushina-sensei, if you look forward, you can see them."
"Oh… sumr's almost here. These must be the last blossoms of the year."
"Wait—now is the ti to admire cherry blossoms?" Kushina snapped.
With a disciple this unreliable, she was sure she'd catch a cold.
From this angle, the cherry blossoms under the setting sun were dyed an eerie crimson.
They could be stained even deeper—with blood.
An enemy's blood.
Or his own.
But this was the final asure.
Hopefully, it would never be used.
