A few hours later, Uchiha Fugaku entered the room where the eye transplant surgery had taken place.
No. 1 was still seated on the operating table, motionless.
Approaching, Fugaku untied the bandages wrapped around No. 1's eyes.
As the final layer of cloth fell away, No. 1 slowly opened his eyes.
At first glance, they appeared no different than before—black pupils, clear and sharp.
However, these were no longer his original eyes. They were a transplanted pair of fully matured three-tomoe Sharingan.
"Activate the Sharingan."
Fugaku commanded, watching closely.
Obediently, No. 1's eyes shifted in an instant—the sclera remained white, but the pupils turned scarlet, three black magatama forming a circle in each eye.
An aura of cold detachnt emanated from him, a chilling presence unique to those with fully awakened Sharingan.
If one were to judge based on appearance and temperant alone, No. 1 was indistinguishable from a true Uchiha prodigy.
"Deactivate it."
Following Fugaku's next command, the red glow faded, and the three tomoe disappeared.
His eyes returned to normal—clear, dark, and ordinary once again.
"Good."
Fugaku nodded in satisfaction.
Unlike Kakashi Hatake, who could not deactivate his transplanted Sharingan, No. 1 could freely open and close them at will.
This ant that the Sharingan would not passively drain his chakra, nor would it beco a burden.
It was just as Fugaku had predicted—No. 1 fully integrated with the Sharingan with no rejection reaction or side effects.
Of course, this success was also attributed to Uchiha Masaru's skill in dical ninjutsu.
If a lesser dic-nin had perford the surgery, even a successful transplant would have required weeks of recovery before the eyes fully settled.
"The Hashirama cells and transplantation techniques I obtained from Orochimaru… I should let Masaru experint with them to verify their effectiveness."
This thought lingered in Fugaku's mind montarily, but his focus quickly returned to the task at hand.
"The next step is to confirm his combat ability."
After all, the entire reason behind equipping No. 1 with a pair of Sharingan was to elevate his battle prowess.
If this upgrade failed to push No. 1 to the level of elite jonin, then despite the successful transplant, the effort would be pointless.
"Ti to test it."
Fugaku's Mangekyō Sharingan spun into existence, and he cast a real illusion, pulling No. 1 into a simulated battlefield.
"Attack with everything you have."
At Fugaku's command, No. 1 imdiately launched his assault.
"Genjutsu: Shackles of the Netherworld."
No. 1's three magatama Sharingan spun rapidly, emitting a sinister light.
Within an instant, Fugaku found himself immobilized.
Massive iron stakes materialized out of nowhere, slamming into his limbs and torso, nailing him in place.
His body scread in agony, his mind fogged by the illusion's effect.
'Not bad…'
Fugaku's Mangekyō Sharingan spun, releasing a burst of raw ocular power.
The genjutsu shattered instantly.
After all, three-tomoe Sharingan illusions were powerful, but they were nowhere near enough to trap a user of the Mangekyō Sharingan.
Swoosh!
Breaking free, Fugaku spotted No. 1 already airborne, spinning toward him with a whip-like kick.
Fugaku swiftly raised his arm, blocking the strike.
But No. 1 was relentless.
Using Fugaku's own arm as leverage, he spun midair, swinging his other leg in a follow-up kick.
Again, Fugaku intercepted, blocking with his opposite arm.
Midair, No. 1 flipped backward, creating distance between them before landing gracefully.
Even before his feet fully touched the ground, his hands flashed through seals at incredible speed.
By the ti he landed, the jutsu was complete.
"Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique!"
A massive flaming dragon roared to life, surging toward Fugaku like an unstoppable inferno.
"Ice Release: Frozen Gate."
A towering wall of ice materialized in front of Fugaku, intercepting the incoming fire dragon.
BOOM!
The flas crashed into the frozen barrier, causing it to lt slightly but ultimately holding firm.
Swoosh!
Fugaku's form blurred—instead of simply waiting, he phased through the ice wall, appearing on the other side mid-sprint.
With a single hand seal, he launched a counterattack.
"Ice Release: Ice Prison!"
A wave of frost spread across the battlefield, creeping toward No. 1 with unnatural speed.
Recognizing the danger, No. 1 instinctively tried to retreat—but it was too late.
In re monts, the ice swallowed him whole, trapping him inside a transparent, rectangular prison.
The battle was over.
With a flicker of his Mangekyō Sharingan, Fugaku dismissed the illusion.
The real world returned.
Fugaku studied No. 1 closely.
"The Sharingan not only granted him access to genjutsu, but it also sharpened his physical combat skills, throwing techniques, and reaction speed."
These upgrades had transford No. 1's entire combat style, elevating him beyond a standard jonin.
"It's like he's undergone a complete tamorphosis."
This wasn't surprising—the Sharingan was one of the most feared dojutsu in the shinobi world for a reason.
The gap in power and ability between a Uchiha before and after awakening the three-tomoe Sharingan was staggering.
This was why many shinobi coveted the Uchiha clan's eyes.
If it weren't for the fact that non-Uchiha struggled with transplant rejection, the Sharingan would have been stolen far more frequently.
Fugaku exhaled.
"There's no doubt about it now."
No. 1's power had indeed reached the level of an elite jonin.
His combat ability was on par with the Uchiha clan's top elite jonin—Uchiha Min and Uchiha Hoshi.
Only Uchiha Kana surpassed him.
Kana's strength had already exceeded standard elite jonin, reaching a level just shy of Kage-tier.
"If we considered a rank between elite jonin and Kage-level, Uchiha Kana would fall into that category."
So might call it quasi-Kage level.
But No. 1—his growth was still ongoing.
Fugaku smiled.
One thing was certain with his rapid developnt, No. 1's true potential was far from being fully realized.
