The entire world seed to be paused.

In this case, it made sense that Madara could use the Rinnegan's ability to evade during the ti-stop.
However, that ant all four of his shadows were now useless.
Yuta quickly turned back to where the shadow had stood.
Since Madara had swapped positions, his real body had taken the place of the shadow.
But with ti still frozen, Madara could only watch helplessly as Yuta returned. He was unable to act.
His four shadows were already immobilized and beyond his control.
Even if he wanted to swap again, he couldn't.
Besides, swapping again would an putting his real body right in the path of the Truth-Seeking Ball.
That was basically delivering himself to his own defeat.
Ti resud its flow after nine seconds.
In those nine seconds, Yuta had completely dismantled Madara's final defense.
As soon as ti restarted, Madara tried to escape again but it was too late.
Yuta said, "You have no way to escape."
Yuta fired several more sticks made of Truth-Seeking Ball, pinning Madara in place.

One black stick pierced Madara's heart, while the others nailed his limbs to the ground.

Madara fell helplessly to the ground.
His entire Chakra was sealed. He couldn't even rely on the regenerative powers of Hashirama's cells.
"How... how could this happen?"
Madara's voice trembled with disbelief.
He had spent decades awakening the Rinnegan, manipulating Nagato, and Obito.
He was finally resurrected at his peak, reunited with his Rinnegan, and only needed to capture Eight Tails and Nine Tails to complete the plan.
And yet, here he was—defeated.
By a young Uchiha descendant at that.
And he couldn't even escape.
