It wasn't that Shinji didn't want to take Sakura as a student, but rather that he himself wasn't on the path of a dical Ninja. His half-baked dical Ninjutsu, even after so systematic learning, was only for the Yin Seal, and there was no need to mislead others.
However, for now, it's better to maintain the status quo, as Tsunade won't be leaving Konoha within the next few years.
When Naruto's class graduates, he can talk to Sakura about choosing the path of a dical Ninja.
"Okay, thank you, senpai."
Shinji closed his notebook and bid farewell to Tsunade and Jiraiya.
The two of them seed to be heading out, they both looked a bit restless.
"This kid truly is a genius." Jiraiya watched Shinji's retreating figure and said to Tsunade beside him.
"Hmph, he's just so-so." Tsunade pouted, though that's what she said.
In her heart, she knew that Konoha was fortunate to have soone like Shinji. Perhaps this is what grandpa and granduncle wanted to see.
"Let's go. We're going to another place today. My luck wasn't good yesterday." Tsunade finished speaking and stood up.
"Huh? We're still going?" Jiraiya's face turned green. Hearing Tsunade say that, he felt his legs tremble.
"What? You don't want to?" Tsunade glanced at Jiraiya, her expression very calm.
"I do." Jiraiya imdiately stood up.
What a joke.
Would he dare to say he didn't want to at this mont?
—
Dusk.
"I'm ho!"
At the Uchiha clan head's residence, Sasuke pushed open the door and shouted loudly.
"Sasuke's back?" Mikoto's footsteps slowly approached, her voice filled with joy.
"Yes."
Unlike the Sasuke in front of his friends, Sasuke responded to his mother very gently at this mont.
Mikoto quickly knelt down and offered Sasuke a pair of slippers.
Seeing this, Sasuke reluctantly accepted them. He had already strongly opposed this before. But his mother kept saying that he was already tired enough from training all day, and such things were nothing.
Arriving in the living room, Sasuke was startled to see his father sitting cross-legged there. Normally at this ti, Fugaku would usually be busy. Almost everyone in this house was busy outside.
"You're back?" Fugaku put down the scroll in his hand and looked up, asking.
"Mm."
Ever since Itachi's incident, Sasuke hadn't really talked much with his father.
"Dinner's ready, let's eat first." Mikoto, seeing the atmosphere between father and son, couldn't help but speak.
"Okay." Fugaku nodded and stood up, walking towards the dining room.
Mikoto ca to Sasuke's side and gently said, "Sasuke, Mom made bonito rice balls today, you know."
"Really! I want to eat them." Sasuke imdiately took Mikoto's hand and walked to the dining room.
The family's dinner atmosphere was not as harmonious as Mikoto had imagined.
Sasuke just focused on shoveling down his rice, while Fugaku ate leisurely.
"Sasuke, don't eat so fast." Mikoto reluctantly put down her chopsticks, picking off grains of rice from Sasuke's mouth.
"Hehe, I'm going out with Naruto and the others later, so I want to eat quickly." Sasuke showed an expression he wouldn't display in front of Naruto and the others, saying to Mikoto.
Fugaku paused at these words but continued to eat his al nonchalantly.
"That's good. Do you have enough money? If not, I'll give you so later."
Mikoto was all smiles. She was very happy that Sasuke had friends. Moreover, among these friends was Kushina's son.
"Enough. We just wanted to buy so ninja tools because school is starting soon." Sasuke nodded, then wiped his mouth and put down his rice bowl.
"I'm full."
As his voice fell, he had already run out of the dining room and disappeared.
"Slow down! You just ate!" Mikoto shouted helplessly.
This child, he's beco so boisterous now.
Fugaku looked up, saw the remaining rice bowls on the table, and shook his head with a smile.
"You, why are you so distant with your own son?" Mikoto, beside him, looked at Fugaku helplessly.
After so many years of marriage, how could she not know that her husband actually deeply loved his two sons?
He just always kept a straight face and spoke without any emotion.
Fugaku didn't refute. His personality was simply like that, he just said to Mikoto, "This child ca back specifically to eat with you."
Mikoto was startled at these words, then realized. It seed that ever since Itachi left, Sasuke would co back every night.
"This child."
Mikoto ran her fingers through the hair in front of her forehead, looking at the seat Sasuke had just occupied.
Fugaku changed the subject, "Don't worry, Itachi is fine. We already received intel about him before."
Then, he thought for a mont and said, "And Hokage-sama said that Shinji will go to see Itachi in a few days."
"Going to see Itachi?" Mikoto looked up, a bit uncertain.
"Yes, he's going to bring the Flying Thunder God scroll left by the Fourth Hokage to Itachi, so you can rest assured."
Fugaku nodded, then put down his chopsticks and stood up to leave.
"That's wonderful." Mikoto felt a sense of relief.
Once Itachi had that, he would be able to return imdiately if there was danger. For Mikoto, this was already the best possible outco.
However, seeing only her own figure left in the dining room, Mikoto couldn't help but shake her head helplessly and whisper, "These two, father and son, are truly alike."
How could Mikoto not know Fugaku?
Generally, Fugaku would not inform her of village affairs like this. This ti, he probably wanted her to tell Sasuke. He's really awkward.
—
Sasuke jogged all the way to the agreed eting place, only to see Naruto and the others waiting for him.
"Everyone, I'm sorry, I'm late." Sasuke said apologetically.
They were originally supposed to eat together today, but Sasuke thought it would be better to go ho first.
"Stuck-up Sasuke, let's go." Naruto said indifferently.
Shikamaru had already told the others the reason for Sasuke's return.
Naruto and the others would understand, after all, the one who left was Sasuke's older brother. However, Naruto felt a little envious.
"Let's go! After we're done shopping, I'll treat you guys to popsicles."
Sasuke was all smiles, as he was the one who was late.
"Really?! Then I want two!" Naruto imdiately spoke up after hearing this.
Choji, beside him, also nodded. Who doesn't like to eat more if it's delicious?
"Okay." Sasuke didn't object. He had that much money.
"Let's go." Shikamaru called out to them from the front.
He was still thinking of going ho and lying down after shopping.
"Coming!" Naruto and Choji quickly followed.
Sasuke walked slowly beside Karin and the others. His mother had told him this.
Boys, when out and about, should be a gentleman and not ignore girls.
